"She's Lying Through her Teeth, and I'm Telling the Truth"

Michael: I was driving way too fast. I crossed over to the wrong side of the road. I'm the reason why Claudia crashed her car. And now she could lose the baby.

Kristina: Will you please stop assuming the worst. All we know is the car swerved to avoid hitting you. Did you see the make and the model?

Michael: No, I kept driving, like a coward.

Kristina: Then you don't even know if the car crashed or if Claudia was in it.

Michael: She was at the point, exactly where I was. And we were both there around the same time.

Kristina: Are you sure you were still on Harbor View? Maybe you turned onto Oak Bluff or Adams. The driver who made Claudia crash could have easily been...

Michael: Who? Do you know anyone else who was at the point tonight, driving way too fast?

Diane: Commissioner. My client categorically denies any involvement with Claudia Corinthos' car accident this evening, however, in the interest of finding the guilty party, we will be happy to answer any and all questions that you may have at this time.

Mac: Good, because there's a few things we'd like to clear up.

Alexis: Go right ahead. I have nothing to hide.

Lucky: You were at the accident site before my partner and I arrived. So, how did you know?

Alexis: I already told you. I--

Diane: My client was driving along Harbor View Road. She saw emergency lights outside the home of her friend Jasper Jacks. She stopped out of concern, as she's already told you.

Lucky: Well, a witness states that the car that forced Mrs. Corinthos off the road was a small, light-colored vehicle. Ms. Davis, you drive a white hybrid?

[Diane laughs]

Diane: As if that's incriminating. A lot of people drive small cars.

Mac: We'd like to hear D.A. Davis' response.

Alexis: Mac, I didn't force anyone off the road.

Lucky: And why were you driving on Harbor View tonight?

Andrea: I see you have her in custody. Ms. Davis has been stalking my husband. She is a dangerously unbalanced Woman.

Mac: Mrs. Floyd, if you'd like to wait in my office--

Andrea: D.A. Davis came to my home, demanded to see my husband, begging him to resume their affair.

Alexis: That is a lie.

Diane: As your attorney, I'm going to advise you to remain silent.

Lucky: What time did D.A. Davis leave you and Mayor Floyd?

Andrea: It was around 9:00. She was hysterical, speeding and weaving onto Harbor View. It's a miracle she didn't hit anyone.

Alexis: That Woman is... obviously lying.

Diane: So you weren't at Mayor Floyd’s house tonight?

Alexis: That part's true.

Diane: What? God! What on earth were you thinking, approaching Garrett Floyd at his house, no less, when you've been publicly accused of stalking him?

Alexis: In hindsight, that was dumb. Molly asked my why, when everyone was believing all this stuff about me, I didn't defend myself. So I thought I should go do something about it.

Diane: I'm sorry. I know that this whole ordeal has taken a terrible toll on you.

Alexis: You tell me, how is it possible that people in this town could believe that I would write such badly written emails? And my children are getting embarrassed with their friends.

Diane: Okay, okay, trust me, we will get to the bottom of those and clear your name. But right now, back to the Floyds. Why were you there tonight?

Alexis: Because I thought I could get him to at least admit that the emails were forged.

Diane: And what was his response?

Alexis: Well, I didn't get to talk to him. The crazy Woman wouldn't let me see him. So I left.

Diane: Were you distraught?

Alexis: No!

Diane: All right, good. Now--now, hold that thought. Commissioner, there appears to be some discrepancy between my client's and Ms. Floyd's account of this evening's activities. So my suggestion is that we allow them both to go into the interrogation room and iron out their differences in private.

Andrea: I refuse to be subject to this Woman's hysterics, thank you.

Alexis: Maybe a brief discussion would be--

Diane: No, don't engage. Don't engage. Don't engage. There's no point.

Lucky: Are you willing to sign a statement attesting to Ms. Davis' emotional state at the time she left your home?

Andrea: Absolutely. She is a menace to herself and others.

Kristina: Lots of people live out on the point. Anyone could have caused the accident.

Michael: How many people were driving on that stretch of road at that time of night?

Kristina: The club is on Harbor View. Do you know how many parents and kids go to the club to get hammered and then try to drive home? A drunk could have caused Claudia's accident.

Michael: Kristina, you're grasping at straws.

Kristina: But you still haven't answered the most basic question. Do you even know if you were on Harbor View when you swerved?

Michael: No. I mean, I was so mad at the guy who passed me and trying to catch up to him...we turned onto Oak Bluff or Adams? I don't even know.

Kristina: Then it's too soon to start blaming yourself.

Michael: You sound like Jason. He told me to keep quiet and let him take care of it.

Kristina: Then let him.

Michael: What about Dad? He's the one who got me the car. I can't lie to him.

Kristina: It's not lying to say nothing.

Michael: His wife is in the E.R. She could lose the baby. I have to tell them that it was me who ran her off the road.

Alexis: Just give me one minute with her.

Diane: She's already refused.

Alexis: Since when does that stop you? I'm the client. I want 5 minutes with her.

Diane: Andrea Floyd is not going to do any favors, especially since her husband slept with you. All right, it was only once. And who can blame him with that frigid, viperous gorgon at home?

Alexis: All right, so I slept with him once, a long time ago. And now, I'm this hysterical stalker? You see, there must be some motive that she has other than jealousy.

Diane: Believe me, I fully intend to comb through Andrea’s statement, debunk it.

Alexis: And you know that I trust you. Now, go over there and distract them.

Diane: No, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. If our positions were reversed, you'd be telling me not to do this. All right. All right. Just don't become overwrought, or you will add further proof to Andrea’s statement that you're-- you know, highly charged emotional state.

Alexis: I'm as cool as a cucumber.

Diane: A cucumber lying in the sun.

Alexis: All right.

Diane: Gentlemen. I believe that my client has answered all of your questions to the best of her knowledge, and that you have no further evidence on...

Andrea: I have absolutely nothing to say to you.

Alexis: All right. Well, then, just listen. Please. I slept with your husband once, a long time ago. I told you that I deeply regret it. And yet, you are suddenly intent on destroying me. What possibly could your motive be?

Andrea: You came to my home...

Alexis: I want--

Andrea: Tried to confront my husband, and refused to leave.

Alexis: I wanted to talk to him.

Andrea: You left my home in a very hysterical state around 9 P.M. You went east on Harbor View Road where, just a few minutes later, a pregnant Woman was run off the road by a reckless driver. I can testify to that in a court of law. Can you deny it without perjuring yourself?

Kristina: Michael, don't call. Dad's got a lot to deal with.

Michael: You know Dad. He'll want to know who did this to Claudia and the baby. If I tell the truth, at least he won't have to search the whole town looking for payback.

Kristina: But you can't confess to something if you're not even sure you're guilty!

Michael: It must have been me, and I didn't even stop. That's the worst part. I ran away. If I try to hide what I did, that makes it even worse.

Kristina: Maybe Claudia and the baby will be fine and none of it will matter. You won't have to say a word.

[Cell phone rings]

Michael: Hello?

Morgan: We're at the hospital. You need to come. Mom's really sick.

Michael: What happened?

Morgan: Claudia was in a car crash, and Mom saved her. Mom must have hurt herself or something 'cause she fainted, and now, they can't wake her up.

Michael: Morgan, don't worry. I'll be right there.

Kristina: What's wrong with Morgan?

Michael: It's Mom. She's the one who helped Claudia after the accident, and she's not supposed to be stressed or upset because the pregnancy's high-risk. Now she's unconscious.

Kristina: Michael, I'm so sorry.

Michael: Not only did I hurt Claudia and her baby... I hurt my mom and her baby, too.

[Door slams]

Alexis: Andrea, I did leave your house at approximately 9:00, but I did not cause any accident.

Andrea: Forgive me and the people of Port Charles if we don't take your word for it.

Alexis: Why are you deliberately twisting the truth? It makes me wonder what else you're doing to sabotage me, like making hysterical emails.

Andrea: Hmm?

Lucky: Alexis, I'm sorry, but Mrs. Floyd has made it clear that she doesn't want to speak with you.

Andrea: Thank you.

Alexis: As district attorney, I have a right to question a witness.

Mac: You know, your status as a D.A. is unclear.

Alexis: Well, I haven't received a notice of suspension. I've done nothing wrong, and I have no intention of leaving my position.

Andrea: At the very least, she trespassed on my property. She may very well have caused a serious car accident and fled the scene. Shouldn't you be arresting her?

Diane: You have no evidence on which to hold my client.

Mac: We're going to do a complete work-up of the accident site. Alexis, we may need to examine your car.

Diane: Of course. We will be happy to comply with any and all warrants and subpoenas, but as of right now, I think we're done.

Mac: You're free to go. We need you to sign some paperwork.

Andrea: Gladly.

Kristina: Kiefer, I'm in so much trouble. I might have caused the accident. [Sighs] My dad's wife crashed trying to avoid a reckless driver. What if it was me? No. I didn't even tell my brother. No. I can't tell anyone.

Alexis: Thanks for following me home.

Kristina: I got to go. I'll talk to you later.

Diane: Right. Well, we need to go over strategy. You are facing some very serious charges.

Alexis: Andrea Floyd is perjuring herself, and I am looking forward to you proving that.

Diane: Unfortunately, it's not going to be quite that easy.

Alexis: You're the one who relishes a challenge.

[Diane sighs]

Diane: Alexis, from a legal standpoint, you made some extremely unfortunate choices tonight. First off, you elect to go to the mayor's home. Then, you promptly get back in your car, you drive along Harbor View Road, and you stop at the site of Claudia's car's accident minutes after it happened.

Alexis: I don't speed. You've been in the car with me. It drives you insane. And I'm certainly a far cry from the hysterical person that Andrea Floyd described.

Diane: Well, right now, it's your word against hers, and she is proving to be a much more credible individual than you.

Alexis: Well, she's lying through her teeth, and I'm telling the truth.

Diane: Okay, Alexis, I am--I'm your friend as well as your attorney. But in order to defend you, I need to know exactly where we stand. Is there any possibility that you could have caused Claudia's accident?

[Alexis sighs]

Andrea: Thank you for making this as painless as possible. I'll be happy to testify against Ms. Davis when the charges are filed.

Mac: We'll continue our investigation and see what we come up with.

Andrea: You do that, Commissioner Scorpio, but I think we all know where this is going to lead.

Mac: Thank you.

Andrea: Take care.

Michael: My stepmother was in a car accident tonight. She swerved to avoid a reckless driver.

Mac: Right. We already have a suspect.

Michael: It was me.

Mac: What do you mean?

Michael: I was speeding on Harbor View Road, and I took the turn too hard--

Jason: Hey, hey, hey, Michael. Stop.
