Ric:
Well, you shouldn't have bothered showing up, Sonny. As you've already
been informed, you've been completely barred from getting anywhere
near Jason today.
Sonny:
I'm not worried about that, Ric, because Dianes good at going
over your head to overturn --
Ric:
Well, that's not going to happen, not today. But let me ask
you -- how does it feel to know that your plan failed so miserably?
Because as I see it, Jason's still in custody, and now I have --
count them -- four charges of murder against him.
Sonny:
I didn't plan an escape attempt, Ric. If you werent so full
of yourself, you'd see the logic of the situation. Why would I set
up my own men for Jason to take down?
Ric:
We both know that you would sacrifice 20 men to get Jason back,
and that's what you do in your business -- you devour your own.
Sonny:
It wasn't me. But if we're talking likely suspects, then I can see
why you would think it was me -- with the cameras rolling.
Alexis:
What the hell happened here?
Ric:
What are you doing here?
Alexis:
I'm preparing a motion to have Sam taken off the witness list.
Ric:
Well, unless Diane Miller has appointed you co-counsel, you're not
on the Morgan case.
Alexis:
I'm Sam's attorney, which makes me a part of this case. And
if this chaos is any indication of the mess that you've made, it
looks like I'm going to be around for a while.
Alexis:
What happened here today proves that this
undertaking is lethal, and there is absolutely no way
that I'm going to let you drag Sam into this so she can get herself
killed.
Ric:
Nice tactic -- like the Alexis of old. Too bad it's not going
to fly. My office is providing security for all the state's witnesses.
[Alexis
laughs]
Alexis:
You'll forgive me if I don't find that very reassuring.
Ric:
Sam is not a mob enforcer who is up on charges for killing Lorenzo
Alcazar, so your argument, dear, has no merit.
Alexis:
We'll see, "dear."
Alexis:
Hey.
Sam:
Hi.
Alexis:
I need your signature.
Sam:
My signature -- what for?
Alexis:
I'm going to put in formal request to the judge, and with any luck,
you won't have to answer to Ric's subpoena to testify.
Sam:
Wow. On what grounds?
Alexis:
Well, obviously, the two of you weren't married, but you did live
together for three years, so I'm going to argue that palimony status
should entitle you to spousal privileges.
Sam:
Impressive. Really, I thank you for your concern -- I am grateful
-- but I will not need these papers. You, take it. I fully intend
to testify at Jason's trial. I'm going to tell the truth, the whole
truth, and nothing but the truth.
