Do you always choose the most remote locations for a potential collapse?
Alexis: Do you always sneak up on people when they're not expecting you? It's ok, I don't need a rescue tonight. Honestly, I'm feeling much better than I have in weeks.
Jerry:
Oh, is that so? Alexis:
Yes, it is. In fact, I thought I'd just take a nice walk and have
a little quiet time in the park. Jerry:
Oh, well, you don't seem to be enjoying the experience, that's for
sure. Alexis:
If you really want to know, I schedule 15 minutes a day to cry and
feel sorry for myself. I thought maybe I'd be doing that in private,
but obviously I was wrong. Jerry:
Are you going to be all right? Alexis:
Yes. Jerry:
"Yes" what? Are you intentionally vague? Alexis: I barely know you. But if you'd like me to be specific about all the reasons that I have to cry, I -- I can give that to you. Would you like me to start from birth and move forward? Or I can just start from what happened a few weeks ago when my best friend, Jax, married a woman who I know is going to break his heart.
Jerry:
You know what? I suppose it's normal to be upset when your ex-husband
remarries, you know? Alexis:
He isn't my most recent ex-husband, and -- and Jax has been married
and divorced twice. I think Carly is his third time. Jerry:
Well, perhaps he likes the idea of being married more than the state
itself. Alexis:
No, you don't know Jax at all. No, he's the type of guy that --
that would find one special girl and want to grow old with that
person, but he's just made a lot of bad romantic choices and it's
just one of those things. I mean, Carly is his -- his worst choice,
I might add. Jerry:
Why did he marry her? Alexis:
Because he's an optimist, a cornball, cause he believes that love
conquers all, and I should've done something. I mean, I tried to
stop him, but I -- I should never have divorced him. Jerry:
So why did you? Alexis:
Well, because we were both in love with other people. It's a long
story. It's just if I hadn't divorced him, then he wouldn't still
be married right now to this viper. I just should've slept with
the man when I had the chance. Jerry: Wait a minute, you -- you never consummated the marriage?
Alexis:
No. Probably a pretty good reason to be upset, isn't it? Jerry: No, I think it's because Carly has him, and I think that you're jealous.
