Alexis: Oh.

[Phone beeps]

Alexis: I assumed when I didn't hear back from you that you were unavailable to escort me to Jax's wedding.

Alexis: I see that you didn't give Mr. Brosnan my note.

Nikolas: No. I'm sorry, it slipped my mind.

Alexis: Well, I was just explaining to him that while Jax is my ex-husband, he's also my best friend, which is which I am his best person. And typically I don't mind at all going to affairs unescorted, but in this particular case, it was -- you know, being part of the wedding party, it seemed a little awkward and I felt --

Jerry: Especially pressured to bring an escort.

Alexis: Precisely. And while I completely understand -- it was such late notice -- I wouldn't expect you to be able to attend -- unless, of course, you want to.

Jerry: I'm -- I'm so sorry. I -- I would love to. I really would love to, but, regrettably, I can't.

Alexis: Ok.

Nikolas: Yes, like I said, we -- we have a very important conference call that we need to make.

Jerry: Unfortunately, my time is already taken and I can't accompany you, and I hope that you have fun without me. I'm sorry.

Alexis: Oh, I will, I will -- if I drink heavily. Because she's really a dreadful woman. Anyway -- well -- ah, well.

[Jerry laughs]

Jerry: Good luck.

[Door closes]

Jax: You look wonderful.

Alexis: You're a liar, but I love it when you -- when you do lie. Any chance you'd change your mind? Just kidding.

Jax: Yeah. I know it's not easy for you to take an active part in my wedding -- you're sick, and Carly's not exactly your favorite person -- but I really appreciate you being here. It means a lot to me. How you feeling?

Alexis: I'm ok. I think my wig's on crooked. And my pride's a little hurt.

Jax: It's fine. Why's that?

Alexis: Because I actually put myself out on a limb and I asked one of Nikolas' business associates to escort me to the wedding and he said no. I -- he was actually very intent on not being at this wedding.

Wyndemere. Jerry is sitting on the couch when his phone beeps.

[Phone beeps]

Jax's voice: It's not like me to keep calling when I'm so obviously being ignored. That should tell how important this day, and having you here for it, is to me. This is the marriage that's going to last, jerry. Just show up and wish your little brother well, will you? I'd do the same for you.

[Phone beeps]

Robin: Hello.

Nikolas: Hello.

Robin: Sorry about this.

Nikolas: It's all right. Look, I told Emily the truth.

Robin: What -- how? Why?

Nikolas: I had to -- she confronted me again last night. She knows me better than anyone, she knew something was off. I just have to be extra careful from now on.

Alexis: This kind of proves you lied. Give my best to Mr. Brosnan.

Alexis: Hey.

Jax: Hey. I know what you're thinking -- I'm not the slightest bit worried about Carly showing up. I'm simply --

[Jax sighs]

Jax: Foolishly wondering if my brother would.

[Alexis giggles]

Ned: Look at you.

Alexis: Do you remember what happened last time we were standing in an aisle together?

Ned: Yes, yes -- you took one look at me, turned and ran in the opposite direction.

Alexis: Gatekeepers in love, huh? It's got "movie of the week" written all over it.

[Ned laughs]

Ned: How you doing? I know -- you're probably tired of hearing that. I told myself not to ask you, but I worry about you.

Alexis: You know what? I'm actually feeling pretty good at the moment, and I appreciate that you're worrying about me.

Ned: Good. Will you do me a favor?

Alexis: Sure?

Ned: Since you don't have a date today --

Alexis: Why don't you just announce that to the whole place?

Ned: Hey, what's one wedding date between old friends?

Alexis: Hmm. Thanks.

Alexis: Hi.

Jax: Hi.

Alexis: Ok, the crowd's getting a little restless in there. I'd sing, but I can't. Maybe you should say something.

Jax: What do you want me to say? We're running a little bit late, everybody knows. I mean, weddings run late, right?

Alexis: Where is she, and why wouldn't she call? I don't -- I'm just -- do you think there's any possibility at all that she's left you standing at the altar?

Jax: I apologize. My fiancée's always a bit late, but I'm sure she'll be here any minute.

Rev. Wilson: All right, then. I'll take my place out front. See you there.

Jax: I suppose that's my cue?

Alexis: No, don't do it. Please don't do it.

Jax: She'll be here.

[Alexis sighs]

Alexis: Where have you been? Never mind, thank god you're here, because if you had bailed on him, I would've come after you with a pitchfork.

Carly: I'm here.

Jason: Let's just get this over with.

[Alexis sighs]

["Wedding March" plays]

[Carly sighs]

Carly: Here we go.
