Need More Weed, Don't You?"

Sonny:
I shouldn't have turned a blind eye to Alcazar's shipments. Now
he knows my trucking route, right, and he wants more.
Bernie:
Right, but you didn't want to start a war while Alexis was recuperating.
Sonny:
No, I didn't want to start a war, but you know what? Now he thinks
he can take whatever he can, whenever he wants.
Bernie:
Oh --
Sonny:
We need to just --
Bernie:
I'm listening.
Sonny:
We need to back him off. You understand what I'm saying?
Bernie:
I understand what you're saying. I'm saying that our men are in
place, ready to help Jason raid Alcazar's shipment any time.
Sonny:
Good. Good.
Bernie:
All we need is your word, that's all.
Alexis:
Hi.
Bernie:
We need --
Alexis:
Can I speak with you just for a moment?
Bernie:
Uh -- speak of the -- the mother of your child.
Alexis:
Hi, Benny.
Bernie:
Bernie. Uh -- it's ok. I'll get another cup of java.
Alexis:
Thanks.
Bernie:
Sure.
Alexis:
Uh --
[Door
closes]
Alexis:
Oh -- here we go. Kristina is going to visit the firehouse with
her class and she needs your signature on the parental slip.
Sonny:
Ok, Alexis, you barged past Max and Milo for the -- the trip's not
till the 29th.
Alexis:
I know that, and -- but that is due in a week.
Sonny:
It takes one parent's signature.
Alexis:
Oh. Yeah. Oh -- um --
Sonny:
Yeah.
Alexis:
I didn't see that.
Sonny:
Alexis? Why are you really here?
Alexis:
I thought that since you're already a criminal, and I really don't
want to get anyone else involved --
Sonny:
Hmm.
Alexis:
I was thinking that maybe you could -- forget it.
Sonny:
No, no, no, no, I know, I know, I know. You
need more weed, don't you?
Alexis:
No. I am not here for weed. Technically, I'm still the D.A., for
God's sake.
Sonny:
Would you prosecute somebody for using marijuana to deal with chemotherapy?
Alexis:
Never, but that's beside the point.
Sonny:
So you think it's best that they suffer?
Alexis:
I think chemo is what it is, and I knew that going into it.
Sonny:
What about Kristina? I mean, she seemed like she's speaking a little
more at Christmas, and maybe she's seen you smile and she wants
her mommy back.
Alexis:
I think that she gets upset when she sees me that sick.
Sonny:
Mm-hmm. Then you know what you got to do.
Alexis:
Do I?
Sonny:
Yeah.
Alexis:
I don't know that I do, really --
Sonny:
Hmm.
Alexis:
Because -- you know, marijuana is addictive. So, what if I become
dependent?
Sonny:
Relax. I'm not saying that you're going to succumb to reefer madness
or any of that.
Alexis:
Ok, well, just the sound of that is -- is disturbing to me. You
can't tell anyone -- do you hear me? -- No one that I smoked pot.
And don't tell Ric.
Sonny:
I'm not going to tell Ric. I'm not going to tell anybody.
Alexis:
You know what? Now that I've thought about it, I'm not going to
do it anymore.
Spinelli:
Uh -- look, whatever you need, Godfather, I mean, you -- you can
count on me. I'm -- my cyber services are -- are at your command.
Sonny:
Sit down. Sit down. Jason says you're reliable -- at least, when
it comes to computers.
Spinelli:
Yeah. Well, Stone Cold knows I'm a cyber god.
Sonny:
Ok, I trust Jason. He's got excellent judgment -- most of the time.
But all I've heard about you is that you're trouble.
Spinelli:
No -- did -- did I not prove the Goddess was innocent?
Sonny:
Did I not tell you to sit down?
Spinelli:
Did I not prove the Goddess was innocent? And -- and I -- I totally
updated all of Stone Cold's computers until the Berneficent one
just --
Sonny:
Ok, I don't know anything about Stone Cold or Goddess or whatever
that last thing you said. I -- and I don't have time to figure out
what you're babbling about.
Spinelli:
Understood, Pacino-esque one. From now on --
Sonny:
And if you call me Pacino-esque again --
Spinelli:
I wont.
Sonny:
I -- I'm going to take care of you, buddy.
Spinelli:
I won't, Godfather -- oh -- uh -- Sonny. Mr. Corinthos? Sir?
Sonny:
Ok, Alcazar -- I don't know -- he's stupid enough to use you, and
I tell you what -- since he was, I'm going to use his stupidity
to my advantage. Here's what I need from you.
Ric:
Well, well. What have we here?
Sonny:
Go. Go. Go.
Ric:
Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I take it my brother is employing you to
do something of questionable legality?
Spinelli:
I don't know what you're talking about. I was just shooting the
breeze here with the Pacino-esque -- uh -- with -- ahem -- Mr. Corinthos,
Sir.
Ric:
Yeah, sure you were.
Sonny:
Spinelli's going to update the warehouse computers.
Spinelli:
Yeah, complete overhaul. It's going to be like a supercharged system.
Mr. Corinthos, Sir, will be able to count every coffee bean he owns.
Ric:
Oh. Well, you set up Alcazar's computer system, too, right? Now,
if I were a betting man, I'd say that Sonny maybe ordered you to
back up all of his data files in case he and Jason decide to start
an all-out war. Am I getting warm here?
Sonny:
Why are you here? You -- are you going to harass me, or are you
sending a message from your new pal, Lorenzo Alcazar?
Ric:
No, a custody hearing date has been set for Molly. You're still
being called as a witness for me, so you might want to get a lawyer
together. You're being deposed.
Sonny:
I'll be there.
Ric:
I would advise you to be very careful about what you say.
Sonny:
Well, simple -- I'm just going to tell the truth.
Ric:
Oh, that would be novel.
Sonny:
You want to call me as a witness so I can talk about your behavior
and all the incredible things that you've done? Hey, I'll do it,
and let the chips fall where they may.
Ric:
Ok, Sonny, you lead a dangerous life, your house is not safe for
children. That, combined with Alexis' inability to take care of
her children because of her debilitating illness -- those are the
facts that are going to speak for themselves.
Sonny:
And you are big on facts, aren't you?
Ric:
Hey, listen, you want to slant your testimony to help Alexis out?
I think you might be able to help her case by, first off, not committing
any crimes between now and the hearing date -- that would include
first-degree murder.
Spinelli:
Ooh. Not only is that dude harsh and unkind, he gives me the crawlies.
Sonny:
You're smarter than you look.
