"My Problem is that you Threatened to Kill Me"

Alexis: This is the most perfect my life has ever felt. I have my girls all under the Same roof, and I have a husband that I never thought that I'd be lucky enough to have, and I want to freeze and remember this moment forever.

Ric puts his wine glass down and see Sam outside.

Alexis: This is so nice and quiet. It's a change of pace from the city, don't you think?

Ric: Mm-hmm.

Alexis: Hmm. Hey! How's your room? Is everything ok?

Sam: Yeah. It's more than ok, it's beautiful. I was just -- I was looking out my window and I saw the moonlight reflecting off the lake and -- I thought I'd come down and get used to the view.

Alexis: I know this isn't easy at all for you. This is a new house filled with people that you're suddenly related to.

Sam: I know. It can't be easy for you, either. I mean, the four of you were this perfect little family, and here I am barging in.

Alexis: You are not barging in on anything.

Ric: Yeah. You're welcome to stay as long as you like.

Alexis: Besides, Kristina won't let you leave, so you might as well make yourself at home.

Sam: Well, thank you.

Alexis: Can I get you anything?

Sam: Um -- assuming you have some, I was thinking about a cup of tea. I'll make it myself.

Alexis: Oh, yeah.

Ric: Oh, yeah, we're very stocked. Alexis is a big tea drinker.

Alexis: Got everything, anything you want -- English Breakfast. Do you want mint? I've got chamomile --

Sam: Chamomile -- chamomile.

Alexis: It's my favorite, too, so there you go. See, already we have something in common.

Sam: Wow.

[Alexis chuckles]

Alexis: This way.

Sam: Oh. Do you like to go salvage diving?

Alexis: Oh, yeah, yeah, any time I can.

[Sam and Alexis laugh]

Alexis: You want to sit with us for a while?

Sam: Thanks. I'm -- I'm pretty wiped. I think I'm going to go back to my room.

Alexis: Oh, ok. I'll see you in the morning.

Sam: Ok.

Ric: Good night, Sam.

Sam: Good night, Ric.

Alexis: All right. Considering how the afternoon started, this ended in a very upbeat way.

Ric: Why? What happened this afternoon?

Alexis: Well, for one, I had an odd encounter with your brother.

Ric: Another one?

Alexis: He actually pretended that he didn't threaten me.

Ric: Maybe he doesn't remember it.

Alexis: No, he did threaten me. Trust me.

Ric: Alexis, things like that come out of Sonny's mouth as easily as it does for you when I leave the cap off the toothpaste, you know?

Alexis: All right, all right. If you don't believe me, ask max. He heard the whole thing.

[Phone rings]

Alexis: D.A. Davis.

Det. Rodriguez: Detective Rodriguez. Sorry to bother you on such a small matter, but you said you wanted to know about anything on Sonny corinthos that came across my desk.

Alexis: That's right. What do you have?

Det. Rodriguez: He just started construction on one of his coffee warehouses without a permit.

Alexis: Oh. All right. Well, I'll take care of it.

Det. Rodriguez: Are you sure?

Alexis: Yep.

Ric: What's that all about?

Alexis: I have to go back to work.

Ric: Still can't sleep?

Sam: No. Every time I start to drift off, I think I hear jason's voice and then I'm wide awake.

Ric: You know, believe it or not, I understand the adjustment that you're trying to make. I mean, you get used to life being a certain way. You start to count on it, and then, well, all of a sudden, everything changes. Last week, I was living in an apartment, and now, all of a sudden, I'm living in a house by the lake.

Sam: You and Alexis, you had a routine. You'd put Molly and Kristina to bed and then it was just the two of you. And now, you have an adult stepdaughter hanging around -- not exactly what you signed up for.

Ric: Well, life changes.

Sam: Not always for the better.

Ric: Sam, Alexis wants to be a part of your life. She wants to get to know you.

Sam: Really? What about you, Ric? Do you want to get to know me?

Max: Ms. Davis.

Alexis: Max.

Max: It's late. Can this wait till the morning?

Alexis: No, it can't.

Max: Oh, I'm sorry. Sonny's already went to bed, so --

Alexis: You trying to get rid of me, Max? That's unlikely.

Sonny: What can I do for you, District Attorney Davis?

Alexis: You're building a warehouse without a permit, which means that I have to fine you.

Sonny: Oh, fine me. Why would the District Attorney concern herself with a permit?

Alexis: Anything pertaining to you concerns me, you know that.

Sonny: And you came all the way down here for that?

Alexis: All right. I came here for some clarification.

Sonny: Right.

Alexis: Ric told me that you told him that you did not lose control with me during that conversation we had the other day.

Sonny: You and I have many disagreements, right? Does that mean that you lose control?

Alexis: Are you going to stand there and pretend that that was some sort of a simple altercation, that you didn't rage at me like a madman?

Sonny: What?

Alexis: And threaten to make me disappear?

Sonny: You're going to push this? What's your problem, Alexis?

Alexis: My problem is that you threatened to kill me. Do you honestly not remember that?

Alexis: You honestly don't remember.

Emily: Alexis, what are you doing here?

Alexis: I came here to speak to Sonny about his behavior. The other day, he threatened me and I was wondering if I should be concerned that he would follow through. Now he's acting as if it didn't happen.

Sonny: Alexis, we had a misunderstanding.

Emily: About business?

Sonny: Yeah. She knows I'm not in charge, so I don't have any reason to deal with the D.A., much less threaten her.

Alexis: Then why did you?

Sonny: Are you really -- are you really going to push this? Are you going to keep going on this?

Alexis: Wouldn't you?

Sonny: I sent her flowers because of the misunderstanding, but she don't care. You know?

Alexis: That just scared me more.

Sonny: Ok, you know what? Forget -- I'm -- we should just drop this right now because there's no point. You're here because I didn't file a permit for some construction. I'm going to write that down in the book here and I'm going to do my best to avoid contact with you. There we go. D.A. --

Alexis: You know that you crossed a line.

Sonny: Ok.

Alexis: What's going on here? Are you playing some sort of game with me? You're acting calm and trying to make me look like I'm the nut case?

Emily: Look, we can play "he said, she said" for hours but there's no point, so let's just call it a night, ok?

Alexis: Don't ever threaten my life again.

Sonny: Can you believe it? That's like the 550,000th time that we've had that Same conversation. She comes in here and she tells me I'm not good. I tell her to get out and -- and then she just blows everything out of proportion.

Emily: Did she?

Ric: You can't stand me.

Sam: I love Jason, who hates you.

Ric: And you agree.

Sam: You have this pathological need to be better than jason in Sonny's eyes, and you will do anything to make it happen.

Ric: Did you ever think for once, Sam, that maybe jason was wrong about me? I mean, after all, he didn't show the best judgment with breaking up with you. And he sure was wrong about your mother. Alexis is not the heartless shrew of a person that everybody seems to think that she is. So maybe, just maybe he's wrong about me. Look, I sincerely want you to be part of this family. It's important to Alexis. She wants it with all of her heart. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. So maybe you can meet me halfway?

Sam: I'll think about it.

Sonny: I'm not going to pretend that it's been easy having my best friend turn on me and the business pulled out from under me, you know. I just -- I don't handle it well a lot, and I just -- well, I apologize.

Emily: You don't need to. Sonny, I just hope you're ok.

Sonny: Some days are better than others. I need a drink.

Emily: Oh. What about Alexis? Does she have reason to be concerned?

Sonny: Well, you know, we've fought for years. She's bitter that I'm the father of her child, and she thinks that I'm dangerous for Kristina. I mean, she says all the time that she doesn't want -- want me anywhere near Kristina. That's probably what's going on. She wants to prove that she's a better par-- I mean, you know Alexis. You see the way she acts. I mean, she overreacts about things --

Emily: I know. That's true, but --

Alexis: Hey! I thought you went to bed.

Sam: I can't seem to fall asleep, so I figured I would study for my G.E.D. Because, yes, it normally does the trick.

Alexis: Wait till you're in law school. You'll open up a text on torts, it'll put you out like a light.

Sam: I was looking for you earlier.

Alexis: I had to go out for a little bit. Is there something you needed?

Sam: No. No, I was just making another cup of chamomile and I was kind of wondering if you wanted some.

Alexis: Oh! We'll start a tradition on the weekends. We'll sit out there and have tea overlooking the lake.

Sam: It's really awkward, you know, making conversation like this.

Alexis: I know. I'm assuming it'll get easier with time.

Sam: Yeah. Thank you for bringing me into your home.

Alexis: It's your home, too, Sam.

Sam: I know, I know. I just -- you know, I have no idea how things are going to work out. I'm just -- I'm glad I'm here, and I'm really sorry for all the resistance that I put up all the time.

Alexis: Hey, hello? Stubbornness -- it's another trait we have in common.

Sam: Ok. I'm going to study. Good night.

Alexis: Good night.

Jason: I brought Sam's stuff.

Alexis: Thanks, Jason. Sam just went to sleep, but I'll tell her that you brought her things here in the morning.

Jason: Ok.

Sam: Jason, please. Don't go.
