"This is the Most Perfect My Life has Ever Felt"

Nurse: Oh, Ms. Davis, I just heard Dr. Drake might discharge your daughter tonight. I was on my way to tell her.

Alexis: Oh, great. Do you mind if I tell her? It's good news for a change.

Nurse: Oh, that'd be great.

Alexis: Thanks.

Alexis: Good. I was hoping you'd come back.

Sam: I went to see Jason.

Alexis: How'd that go?

Sam: Not so great. Sonny was nice enough to bring me back.

Elizabeth: I have good news and bad news. Dr. Noah Drake wants to examine you, and if you're in the clear, you get to go home tonight.

Sam: That's great.

Alexis: What's the bad news?

Elizabeth: The bad news -- if she compromised her recovery by sneaking out of the hospital, she's not going anywhere.

Sam: I'm fine. I'm -- I'm fine, really. Thank you for everything you did at Jason's.

Sonny: You just need to take care of yourself now.

Alexis: I'm warning you. You may get away with harassing me for the moment, but don't try doing it to Sam or kristina.

Sonny: You're warning me?

Alexis: I will draw a legal line in that sand, and, believe me, you won't want to cross it.

Sonny: Do you -- what, do you get off on taking my head off?

Alexis: You're going to stand there and pretend that you don't remember threatening my life, saying to me that if I don't act the way you want me to act, that you will make me disappear like any other D.A.? You threatened to kill me, and you want to know why I'm upset?

Elizabeth: Alexis, Dr. Drake would like to speak with you about Sam.

Alexis: Thank you. I meant what I said.

Alexis: It's ok to be a little bit happy about the fact that you're well enough to go home. I know. You don't have to say anything, I know. I have a -- a big, beautiful, new house and there's a room there that's yours. I'm not expecting you to live there permanently. Really, I swear. I know you're a grown woman with your own life.

Sam: Which is exactly why I should just probably get a hotel room --

Alexis: No. Please don't do that, Sam. You need somebody to take care of you for a little while. I mean, you're just recovering from surgery and I just -- Sam, I'm more than happy to do that for you.

Sam: You don't even like me. I mean, we disagree about everything.

Alexis: That makes us just like every other mother and daughter that I know. We have to start somewhere and I'm willing to give it a shot. I hope you are.

At the lake house

Alexis: The lake view here is absolutely amazing here. Isn't it something? I'm hoping we can eat out here every night all summer.

Sam: Well, I'd rather take it one day at a time if that's ok.

Alexis: Oh, you do whatever is comfortable for you. Come on in.

Kristina: Welcome home, Sam!

Sam: Hi. How are you?

Ric: Sweetie? You forgot something.

Alexis: Oh.

Ric: Here you go.

Alexis: What'd you make?

Kristina: I made this for you, Sam.

Sam: Oh, it's beautiful. Thank you. I'm going to put it right by my bed.

Ric: Welcome, Sam. How you feeling?

Sam: Physically, I'm -- I'm feeling pretty good. I'm just -- yeah, I'm tired.

Ric: Yeah. Hey, sweetheart, why don't we go get Sam's room ready, huh? We got to put your sister down, too.

Kristina: Yeah.

Sam: Now I'm going to have to get my stuff sent over.

Alexis: Why don't you go lie down and I -- I can make you something to eat.

Sam: No, I'm -- I'm fine, really. I -- thank you.

Ric: This is very nice.

Alexis: I love this house!

Ric: Oh, really?

Alexis: I do. I think it's wonderful. And I'm so sorry that I resisted doing this for so long.

Ric: Well, when you finally agree to something, you do get it right.

Alexis: You're wonderful. Do you know that?

Ric: No. Really?

Alexis: Yes.

Ric: Go on.

Alexis: Well, I will. I haven't been easy to live with. I know that I'm never easy to live with.

[Ric whistles]

Ric: Wow.

Alexis: Finding out that Sam was my daughter could've sent me right over the edge, and you kept me sane.

Ric: Relatively.

Alexis: All right. All right, you can joke all you want, but the truth is you're amazing. You are. You supported me through this whole thing -- through the hospital, all the choices that I made -- and I know that you didn't always agree with me. And the kids -- what, you kept kristina and molly from feeling neglected. You -- you packed, you dealt with the movers, you unpacked.

Ric: Mm-hmm.

Alexis: You -- the phone --

Ric: Is hooked up.

Alexis: Ah.

Ric: Don't worry about it. See, that's the advantage of two obsessive-compulsives living in the Same house -- things get done.

[Alexis laughs]

Ric: Come here.

Alexis: This is the most perfect my life has ever felt. I have my girls all under the Same roof, and I have a husband that I never thought that I'd be lucky enough to have, and I want to freeze and remember this moment forever. Oh.
