"You Have Me if You Want"

Jason: How do you feel?

Sam: Tired. It doesn't make sense. How long was I asleep?

Jason: Too long. So much has happened.

Sam: Tell me.

Jason: Well, maybe the doctors should look at you first. I --

Sam: Hey, hey. Can you let her [Alexis] go get them? I don't want to let go of your hand.

Jason: You had something wrong with your blood. Do you remember that?

Sam: I remember I had to get blood transfusions.

Jason: Right, right. After a while, you got so weak you lost consciousness. And the doctors didn't think that you were going to live, but we made them keep giving you blood transfusions anyway.

Sam: "We"?

Jason: Me and Alexis.

Sam: I mean, that must be nice for a change for the two of you -- to be on the same side of something.

Jason: Yeah. All that mattered was keeping you alive. You know, a lot of people gave blood for you -- Nikolas, Mike, Elizabeth, Sonny.

Sam: Sonny? Sonny helped?

Jason: Yeah.

Sam: I mean, that's really good the two of you aren't fighting anymore. That's --

Jason: Well, you know, it's not the same. I mean, I'm not going to talk about business. All that matters is getting you -- getting you better.

Sam: Just having you here -- best medicine in the world. I am so sorry.

Jason: For what?

Sam: Oh. For everything that you've gone through. I know how scary it is, Jason. I can remember just sitting with you when you were sick and watching you breathe. I would talk to you, and I would tell both of us that you were going to be ok.

Jason: Yeah.

Sam: Did you talk to me?

Jason: All the time.

Sam: And I missed it.

Jason: Mm-hmm.

Sam: What did you say?

Jason: What -- what do you mean?

Sam: "What do you mean?" I want to hear it, everything. What did you say?

Jason: Um -- I said that -- that I loved you and I'm sorry for letting this happen to you. I promised I would keep you safe. I've got to make sure my life never hurts you again. I tried to tell you what you mean to me, but I couldn't really get the words out. Doesn't matter, anyway -- nothing I say would be -- would be enough. And you have made my life so much better and it almost got you killed --

Sam: No. No. Stop. Stop saying that. Hey. It wasn't your fault. And if I had to choose between getting shot or you being killed, I would choose this every single time.

Jason: No, no, never --

Sam: Do you understand that?

Jason: Never again, no.

Sam: Jason?

Alexis: I just spoke to the nurse. She's going to find Patrick Drake.

Sam: Patrick Drake? Hey -- wait, whoa. I thought -- I thought Dr. Lee was my doctor.

Jason: There were complications. You had to have brain surgery.

Sam: How am I?

Patrick: I do good work.

Sam: What was wrong with me anyway?

Patrick: You suffered an intracerebral edema with proximal spinal cord compression.

Sam: Ouch. Is that as bad as it sounds?

Patrick: Worse. But you're alert and coherent, your pupils are even and reactive. You don't seem to have suffered any nerve damage, so you should make a full recovery.

Sam: Does Jason know?

Patrick: I'm about to tell him.

Patrick: The test results are good. She's reacting excellent. She should make a full recovery.

Jason: Oh.

Patrick: You can thank me at any time.

Alexis: I have great appreciation for your skill, dr. Drake. It's just your bedside manner with the patient's family that could use a little work. Excuse me.

Alexis: Good news. You're going to make a full covery.

Sam: It's kind of strange to wake up and find out that I had brain surgery. But in a way, I guess it's a blessing, right? At least now I don't have to be afraid because all the bad stuff is already over.

Patrick: Don't take her white-water rafting in the next 24 hours, but you don't have to treat her with kid gloves. She's out of danger. I would give you some advice, though -- be honest with her about everything that happened --

P.A. Announcer: Dr. Patrick Drake --

Patrick: It'll help Sam be less disoriented if she knows the truth.

Sam: I guess this has all been pretty crazy for you.

Alexis: You have no idea.

Sam: I mean, on one hand, we barely know each other. And on the other, I'm -- I'm your daughter and you're waiting to find out if I'm even going to live or not.

Alexis: I'm glad that you are.

Sam: Thank you for caring.

Alexis: We have a lot to talk about. But I'm really glad that we have the chance to do that.

Sam: Me, too.

Alexis: Yeah, well, I'll let you talk to Jason now.

Sam: Thank you.

Sam: Hey. Do you think you could help me scooch up a little bit?

Jason: Yeah.

Jason: Whew. You should get some rest.

Sam: You need to stop worrying. The door said that I'm going to be fine.

Jason: And that's all I wanted.

Sam: What's wrong? Did something else happen?

Jason: No.

Sam: Jason, just tell me. Tell me, did they have to do another operation? Did they have to do the hysterectomy?

Jason: No.

Sam: No. You promise?

Jason: I promise. I promise, you -- you can still have kids.

Sam: Oh, good.

Jason: And you are going to be a great mom.

Sam: Good, because I want to get on that right away -- you know, as soon as we get out of this hospital.

Jason: Ok -- Sam?

Sam: I don't want to wait. I don't want to wait to be your wife anymore.

Jason: Sam?

Sam: It's about time I became your wife.

Jason: Sam.

Sam: What?

Jason: I can't marry you. My life is too dangerous. I have to stay away from you.

Jason: I never lied to you, and I'm not going to start now.

Sam: Ok. Ahem -- ok, look. Jason, I don't care what you say, as long as you stay here.

Jason: You almost died because of me.

Sam: But I didn't. You promised that you were going to be here, and you said that we would be together. Jason, you put a ring on my finger, remember?

Jason: Yes.

Sam: Yes. So why? Why -- why are you saying this?

Jason: I took over Sonny's business. I'm in charge now. I can't get out. That makes me a target. And I'm not going to watch you go through something like this again.

Sam: No, no, I am not afraid.

Jason: You almost had to have a hysterectomy because of a bullet that was meant for me. You want to have children more than anything.

Sam: I want to have your children. I want to live our -- our lives together, Jason.

Jason: No, I can't -- I can't keep putting you at risk!

Sam: You love me. I know you do.

Jason: I have never loved anyone as much I love you.

Sam: Please -- please. You don't have to do this.

Jason: That's why I'm doing th.

Sam: Please. No, Jason, you don't have to do this. Please -- please, don't -- don't do this. Don't leave me. Jason, please. Please, Jason. I love you. Jason -- Jason, don't go. Don't. Please, Alexis, go get him.

Alexis: What?

Sam: Get him before he goes on the evator. Please. Jason!

Alexis: Sam -- Sam!

Sam: No -- no.

Alexis: It's all right. It's all right. It's ok?

Sam: No, please, don't let him leave.

Alexis: It's all right, Sam.

Sam: Don't let him leave me. Jason, no.

Alexis: Jason is doing what he believes is the right thing to do.

Sam: No -- Jason -- he -- he's just worried. He gets like this. Go tell him to come back and tell him everything's going to be ok.

Alexis: He won't listen to me.

Sam: He loves me.

Alexis: There's no question about that.

Sam: And I love him, too. Jason is my life. He is my family. I am nothing without him! Do you understand that? I am nothing without him!

Alexis: That isn't true anymore. You have me if you want.

Sam: No --

Alexis: And I will promise you this. It will all be ok, Sam. You have to believe me. It will all be ok.

Sam: No!

Alexis: It's ok. It's ok.
