Jason: Why can't you tell me where Alexis took Sam?

[Monica sighs]

Jason: You think she's in danger with me.

Monica: Do you think she is?

Monica: Jason, I would -- I would feel like a hypocrite if I told you where Sam was.

Jason: Because I got her shot?

Monica: Because I can't help wondering what I would feel if I were in Alexis' place. If Emily had been shot while she was in Sonny's arms, believe me, Jason, I would move heaven and earth to keep her away from him.

Jason: I'm not Sonny.

Monica: Ok, but Alexis is Sam's mother and she has every right to try to protect her.

Jason: But Sam would want me with her right now.

Monica: Well, right now, Sam isn't even conscious. So when she wakes up, she'll get in touch with you, ok? I'm sorry, Jason.

Jason: Thanks for telling me she's ok.

Monica: You're welcome.

Jax: Whoever you are, whatever rock you crawled out from under, this is your last warning.

Diego: [Disguised voice] Listen, there's no need --

Jax: If you call again, I go to the cops. I would rath tell the world the truth than pay you a dime.

[Knock on door]

Alexis: My god, I could hear you yelling all the way out here. What on earth has gotten you so upset?

Stan: Hey.

Jason: All right, Stan, I want you to hack into the hospital computer, look at the patient transport records, find out where Alexis has sent Sam.

Stan: Alexis knows that you'll be looking for Sam. It's not going to be that easy.

Jason: Ok, then check the ambulance records, check skip Mercy Hospital -- no, that's too obvious. Look for a small medical facility, ok, say within, you know, 50 miles with state-of-the-art equipment, because I'm sure Alexis is getting Sam the best care money can buy.

Stan: Ok, I'll slip in while the duty nurse is distracted, and it shouldn't take me more than a couple of minutes to access --

Jason: I know -- I know you can handle the technical part.

Stan: Are you saying I can't sneak in and out?

Jason: Your mother works there. Don't get caught.

Stan: Ah, don't worry about it. See you in a little bit.

Jax: It's just problems with building permits. You know how it goes.

Alexis: Yeah, well, you certainly sounded upset about it.

Jax: I was actually hoping I could count on your help with that, now that you're the new D.A.

Alexis: Ah. So you want me to use my new position to grant my friends special favors, compromise my integrity, and trample on my oath of office?

Jax: Yeah.

Alexis: For you, no problem.

Jax: Congratulations on the appointment, by the way.

Alexis: Jax, the job is the least of my surprises right now.

Jax: Yeah, I heard about Sam. Anything I can do to help?

Alexis: Yes, there is. As you can imagine, Jason and I are having some very serious disagreements, and that is putting it mildly. We both know that Carly is going to support his position. I am asking, as your friend, to not help her help him. Dealing with Jason is enough. I can't deal with any more than that. Please don't make me have to deal with you, too.

Jax: It must've been a shock when you found out that Sam was your daughter.

Alexis: "Shock" doesn't even describe how I feel. I don't know how I feel. I'm -- I'm relieved, I'm conflicted, I'm guilty, I'm scared. I can -- I can look at her one minute and I'm completely disconnected, I don't know who the hell she is. I look at her the next minute and I go, "Oh, my God, that's my daughter."

Jax: Yeah, I know Sam's never been your favorite person, has she?

Alexis: I understand what she might be going through and I want to help her, I want to be there for her. I want to have a future with her, but I can't do that if Jason gets her killed.

Jax: For the record, I'm on your side.

Alexis: Thank you. Thank you. That means something to me, and I was really hoping that you would be.

Jax: I would never defend Jason, or his motives.

Alexis: But?

Jax: But I also believe that he loves Sam -- in his own way.

Alexis: I believe that he loves Sam. It's not about whether he loves her, it's about whether he can keep her safe. He's a hit man, for God's sake.

Jax: I know, I know. I'm sorry.

Alexis: All that I have the power to do, Jax, all at I'm able to do at this point is to keep her safe and protect her, which is why I moved her, even though Ric and probably everybody else thinks that's a drastic move.

Jax: Ok, if the situation was the Same and Kristina was the one who'd been injured, would you have hidden her?

Alexis: In a heartbeat.

Jax: Well, then there's your answer. Sam's your daughter, and it's a parent's duty to protect his or her child.

Alexis: Look at you. Having a kid has really changed you, huh?

Jax: Yeah. You have no idea.

Alexis shows up at Jason penthouse

Alexis: I'm bringing Sam back to General Hospital. I did what you want, I want you to do something for me. I want you to give Sam a chance to be free of the violence that put her there in the first place. I'm asking you, Jason, to please stay away from my daughter.
