"Antagonism
is Like Foreplay for You, Alexis"
Ric:
Excuse me. That's a good color for you.
Mike:
Well, thanks.
Ric:
Hey, baby. How are you? What -- did I miss something? Is it National
Balloon Day or something?
Kristina:
Mommy's mean.
Ric:
Oh, sweetie. Why would you say that?
Kristina:
She won't let me go anywhere. I want to go there.
Alexis:
Mean mommy would like to talk to Ric, but I want you to have some
lunch, ok?
Ric:
Yes -- here. Oh, it's Sonny's birthday, right. What do we got here,
huh? It seems that "You are invited to a surprise party --"
oh, Michael and Morgan did this for their dad. Ah, then that would
explain Mike. Huh.
Alexis:
It just happened right this second, at the very last minute. They
expect us to just drop all our plans and stop the world at their
whim.
Ric:
And I take it you're not going to go, huh?
Alexis:
No, I didn't say that at all. I -- I'm just saying that we have
a doctor's appointment and I -- it took me three months to schedule
that, but she knows --
Ric:
Well, we can reschedule that --
Alexis:
All right.
Ric:
In just a few seconds. I'll be happy to take her to her father's
party. Right? That going to work?
Kristina:
Yeah!
Ric:
That a girl.
Alexis:
You know, you don't have to deny it, because it's very obvious that
you are gravitating towards your brother again.
Ric:
Well, he can use all the family he can get around him right now.
Alexis:
You think, like the rest of us, he needs therapy.
Ric:
He needs somebody that he can trust.
Alexis:
He pays people to trust.
Mike:
Hey.
Ric:
Hey, Mike. Looks like the two of you got the same invitation to
a really cool party.
Mike:
Yeah.
Ric:
Sweetheart, what about this -- why don't you -- why don't you pick
out some goodies to bring to the party, huh? That sound good? Mike?
Mike:
That sounds good to me. What do you say, honey bun? You want to
come with Uncle Mike and look at the pastries?
Kristina:
Yeah.
Ric:
That a girl.
Mike:
You do?
Ric:
Go pick some good ones.
Mike:
Come on, let's go.
Ric:
Something happened that you're not quite aware of. Sonny's most
trusted friend just stole his business right out from underneath
him.
Alexis:
Jason?
Ric:
Mm-hmm.
Alexis:
Took over the organization?
Ric:
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. He blindsided Sonny, and he sidelined him, leaving
him with nothing.
Alexis:
That could be a good thing.
Ric:
Yeah, to you and I, because we're civilians. But in their world,
a full-scale mob war is about to break out.
Alexis:
Now, if Jason takes over the organization, then Kristina is -- is
not a target anymore. So all's well that ends well.
Ric:
Yeah.
Alexis:
Are you hoping that Sonny becomes isolated and desolate, and that
he needs you again and comes to you and asks for your help?
Ric:
Is that what you want, Alexis? You want me to join forces with Sonny?
And that way, it leaves you the excuse to do what you really want?
I tell you -- let's put an end to this right now. I think I still
got him on speed dial. Yeah, there we go. There's John Durants
phone number conveniently entered. All you have to do is hit send
and you, my dear, are the new A.D.A.
Alexis:
Pretty soon, you're going to find those all over the place. You're
going to find baby food on your pants --
Jax:
Oh.
Alexis:
And cereal in your shoe.
Jax:
Can't wait.
Alexis:
Can I have a minute of your time?
Jax:
I always have a minute for you.
Alexis:
It's a professional crisis. You know that suite that I needed for
my partnership with Ric in business?
Jax:
Yeah, the one that Carly doesn't want you to have.
Alexis:
Yeah, well, I need it. I need it, I need it now, and here's why.
Ric and I are working together. It's not working out. We're going
to kill each other, so we need a bigger space, because if we don't
get the space, I'm going to end up at the A.D.A.'s office, which,
I think, is actually where I want to be. And Ric is going to end
up working for his brother, which I think is actually where he wants
to be.
Jax:
One little office isn't going to propel your husband into the clutches
of the underworld or force you into an unholy alliance with Durant.
Alexis:
It could. Which is why my happiness, my marriage, and my general
well-being is in your hands.
Jax:
Well, you know, I'll always make sure you get what you really want,
so I'm not going to rent you the room.
Alexis:
You're sending me to the A.D.A. chair?
Jax:
You know, from what I've seen, you and Ric work best on opposite
ends. I mean, so much so that Ric is just -- you know, he's just
dying to go work for Sonny. And you are ready to -- to ride shotgun
with Durant in the D.A.'s office. I mean, that's a job that will
place you squarely in opposition to Ric.
Alexis:
That is a ridiculous theory.
Jax:
Antagonism is like foreplay for you, Alexis.
Alexis:
That is a gross exaggeration.
Jax:
It's the truth, and you know it. Have fun.
Alexis:
This is Alexis Davis. I need to speak to John Durant.
John:
Go ahead.
