"It's a Disaster Waiting to Happen"

Carly: This client of yours -- the one that wants to search for the child that they gave up for adoption? Take it from me, it's a bad idea. I mean, on some level, a child has to resent a parent who could just give them up.

Michael: I forgot my notebook. Hi.

Alexis: Hi, honey. How are you?

Michael: Good. Hey -- um -- next week is Family Fair Day and I was wondering, can Kristina come?

Alexis: I don't think so. I'm sorry.

Michael: But Kristina’s my sister.

Alexis: I know, but she has school, too, just like you do.

Carly: It's ok, sweetie.

Alexis: It's very -- oh --

Carly: The rest of us are going to be there with bells on, ok?

Michael: I have homework to do.

Carly: Yeah.

Alexis: Bye, Michael.

Carly: You're unbelievable. How can you do that to him?

Alexis: Do what? I told him the truth. He asked if she could go --

Carly: No, no, no, you do everything you can to keep Kristina away from Michael and Morgan. It's like you think that they're going to contaminate her or something --

Jax: Hey, hey, whoa, whoa!

Carly: And it's ridiculous and it's not fair!

Jax: Guys, guys, neutral corners.

Nikolas: Everyone knows how you feel about Alexis. So what am I supposed to think when I see a file with my aunt's name on it on the desk of Sonny's hit man?

Sam: This has nothing to do with Jason. The file is mine.

Nikolas: Why?

Sam: Why? Well -- um -- I kind of went off the deep end when my brother died and I was looking to dig up some dirt on Alexis.

Nikolas: At the risk of repeating myself, why?

Sam: Blackmail. You know, she -- she made me lose all the family I had, so --

Nikolas: So you changed your mind? You changed your mind?

Sam: Alexis and I got -- got stuck in a room at the courthouse together and -- well, we were forced to be civil to each other and we talked. I don't like her, ok? I don't like her, I never will, but I understand her a little bit better, so I was meaning to toss these in the fire, which I didn't get around to doing. I am now.

Nikolas: Well, I'm glad.

[Phone rings]

Nikolas: Excuse me. Hello? Lulu, slow -- slow down, slow down. Lucky -- is he ok? I'll be right there. Excuse me.

Carly: You treat Michael like he's not good enough to associate with your precious little Kristina and I am sick of it, Alexis.

Alexis: What did I do? What are you talking about?

Carly: Michael has a heart of gold, and every chance you get, you snub him, you patronize him, and you do everything in your power to stop him and Morgan from having a relationship with their sister.

Alexis: I don't have a problem with Michael or Morgan. I happen to like them both. They're very sweet boys. They may be a little indulged, but that's ok. I don't have a problem with Kristina spending time with them. I have a problem with Kristina spending time with you, and this is exactly why.

Carly: You're going to come into my house and insult me?

Alexis: I came in peace to ask you a legal question, and you know what? This drama wouldn't happen if you wouldn't continually put me in a position where I have to say no all the time.

Carly: Michael came downstairs in his own house!

Alexis: I'm not talking about this particular time, I'm talking about all the other times that you do it. You're always putting me in a position to say no.

Carly: Ok, here's -- how about this -- try saying yes.

Alexis: No! You are not going to manipulate me into being the bad guy.

Carly: You are the bad guy. I'm going to go check on Michael. Don't let the door hit you!

Alexis: Oh -- do you see just how unreasonable she really is?

Jax: Actually, I agree with her.

Alexis: Oh, don't look at me like that. You know that I don't have any problem with Michael.

Jax: What, so you didn't tell him that Kristina couldn't go to his school fair?

Alexis: She can't! She has school! Just because I turned down Michael’s invitation doesn't mean that I have a problem with Michael!

Jax: Ok, you know what? Carly may be more indulgent with her kids than you'd like, but she is a terrific mother.

Alexis: I recognize that look in your eye. You think you can save her.

Jax: Oh --

Alexis: That's it -- you think you can bring out the best in her. You've seen her be strong and courageous, and now you think that she is a gentler, kinder person. Well, my friend, she may dazzle you now, but her true colors will come out. And just to put your mind at ease, I want you to know that I will accept you back into the bosom of my heart when that happens, and I won't say that I told you so.

Jax: Hmm, I've seen the real Carly, ok?

[Alexis gasps]

Jax: I've seen her with my son, Alexis and, to be honest, I -- I don't know what I would've done without her help.

Alexis: You're vulnerable now. I understand that. Terrible things have happened to you -- with Courtney and with the baby -- and it would've broken a weaker man, but you keep going, and I appreciate that. And I know that you're lonely, and there she is, this whirlwind in the center of your life, and you think that you're falling for her. What you're really doing is bonding over a helpless baby that needs both of you.

Jax: Carly's good for me, and I believe that I'm good for her.

Alexis: It's a disaster waiting to happen.

Jax: Well, I don't agree, but I'll consider myself warned.

Alexis: Ok. I give up -- for now. I'll see you later.

[Door closes]

Sam: I've been thinking a lot about Alexis.

Sonny: You want to tell her you're her daughter?

Sam: Care to talk me out of it?

Sonny: Well, I mean, you were pretty certain you didn't want to before. What -- what changed your mind?

Sam: Alexis and I got stuck in a room. I went to the courthouse and we got locked in a room together. And we started talking, and Alexis told me about the child she gave up, her daughter.

Sonny: You.

Sam: Sonny, Alexis thinks that I'm dead. I almost blurted out the truth to her. I know you don't want Alexis knowing the truth, and -- and probably -- mainly, I know -- because of Kristina, and I completely agree with you.

Sonny: Well, if it were up to me, I'd love to keep it under wraps, but this is your bombshell. If you, you know, you want to drop it, you don't want to drop it, it's your call.

Sam: It's just that Jason -- you know, he doesn't want Alexis to know --

Sonny: Why does Jason get to decide? When did we all sign up to have Jason run our lives?
