"I
am Done Being the Place Where You Dump Your Anger"
[Knock
on door]
Alexis:
I'm here to apologize. Ric overreacted. It was very hypocritical
of him to condone anything unfortunate happening to manny.
Sam:
Got it -- you're scared. Bye.
Alexis:
Sam, something else we need to address and I think that we should
do just that. I know that you blame me for what happened to your
brother and I know that you blame me for what happened to your baby.
Sam:
Oh, I don't really think you want to get into this right now, Alexis.
Alexis:
And I realize that you and I are never going to be friends. However,
we do live in the Same townwe are going to run into each other from
time to time, and I'm hoping that we might manage to be civil in
public.
Sam:
What do you want from me, Alexis?
Alexis:
Peace. Law school, huh?
Sam:
It's just a thought.
Alexis:
I think it's a great idea. It's a lofty goal. It's very ambitious
of you. I can tell you, it's an arduous process.
Sam:
What, are you suggesting that I'm not smart enough?
Alexis:
No. I --
Sam:
Well, I would just like you to know that it's actually in my genes.
My mother happened to be a brilliant woman, not to mention a selfish,
patronizing bitch.
Alexis:
You know, you had a very good point earlier. It was a mistake to
come here.
Sam:
No, you know what? You wanted in and now you're in and now you're
not leaving until I've had my say.
Sam:
I am not the person you should come to when you're trying to sell
your noble, misunderstood mother routine because I understand you
perfectly. You are consumed by yourself and it is that complete
and utter self-involvement that made it so easy for you to put my
baby at risk and --
Alexis:
All right.
Sam:
Let my brother die.
Alexis:
That's enough.
Alexis:
I am done being the place where you dump
your anger. And I am done feeling guilty for the alleged
wrongs that I committed against you.
Sam:
Not "alleged" -- fact.
Alexis:
No. The one thing, the only thing that I did was lose it with you
in the hospital chapel when I thought my daughter's life was on
the line. I was desperate. You were my only hope and I said things
to you without thinking, and for that, I apologize profusely to
you as I have done a thousand times already. The only valid accusation
that you have made of me, Sam, is that I put my daughter's well-being
above everything else -- that's it. I am done apologizing to you
for anything else.
Sam:
Nice. That conveniently glosses over the fact that you're responsible
for my brother's death.
Alexis:
Dr. Patrick drake made the decision to give me the antidote. He
did that because I have two children who are dependent on me.
Sam:
Of course, of course! It always comes back to your sainted motherhood,
doesn't it?
Alexis:
Is there ever going to be a moment where you might show me a modicum
of respect? I am certain that you are going to have children someday,
Sam, and you're going to know what it's like to put their welfare
in front of yours, and I can't wait personally for that moment,
because maybe then you will show me a little understanding and a
bit of forgiveness.
Alexis:
Ah. I was just about to call you.
Carly:
Well, that can't be good.
Alexis:
I had a conversation with jax -- very interesting.
Carly:
Wow, he moves fast.
Alexis:
There is obviously something going on between you. I don't want
to know what it is -- really, I don't -- but apparently, you've
done some sort of number on him.
Carly:
It was mutual, so spill it. This is about little john, right? He
wants to change the arrangement?
Alexis:
Yes, he does.
Carly:
Ok. What's the new deal?
Alexis:
He wants to make you john's legal guardian.
Carly:
Are you serious?
Alexis:
Yeah. I'm sure it was a momentary lapse and I'm also certain that
you will turn it down.
Carly:
Why would I do that?
Alexis:
Because you're a parent and you have parental instincts that allow
you to act in a child's best interest and it isn't in the child's
best interest for him to have a legal guardian that is directly
or indirectly involved with the mob. And I'm sure there are other
fine choices, and I'll be available to help jax with any legal assistance
that he might need.
Carly:
Well, you know what, Alexis? I'm touched, you know, I really am
that you would be worrying about me, but it's not a problem, really,
because I'm an all-around designated legal guardian.
Alexis:
What does that mean?
Carly:
You don't know?
Alexis:
No.
Carly:
Sonny named me Kristina's guardian if anything ever happened to
him. It's in his will.
Alexis:
Listen to me very cafully. I don't care what's in Sonny's will.
Hell will freeze over before you ever take charge of my daughter.
Sonny:
Do me a favor, will you? Don't tell me to sit down because it makes
me nervous. Just tell me what's going on.
Jason:
Ok. Uh, I -- you know, I don't even -- all right, during the epidemic
--
Sonny:
Yeah?
Jason:
Ok, danny was delirious with fever.
Sonny:
Mm-hmm.
Jason:
And -- and he kept saying things like, "Sam had been chosen
--"
Sonny:
Mm-hmm.
Jason:
"As a child," that he was glad their parents de them brother
and siste it sounded to me like Sam s adopted. So she got a D.N.A.
Test done on danny and she found out that they were not biologically
related.
Sonny:
Wow. Must've been a shock, right?
Jason:
That was the first. So I -- I put stan on tracking Sam's birth certificate.
Didn't have any luck at all, but he did find the clinic where she
was born, ok? And then that led us to a private school in new hampshire
where we found out there a 16-year-old girl dropped out for a semester.
It timed out with when Sam was born.
Sonny:
Ok. So that explains why you couldn't, you know, do what you had
to do with carly, right? So? Who -- who's Sam's mother?
Jason:
It Alexis davis.
Sonny:
If this is -- ok, seriously, if this is your idea of a joke, then
your sense of humor hasn't gotten better since the coma.
Jason:
Am I laughing?
Sonny:
No, you're not laughing, but let me tell you something. It's impossible.
Alexis is not Sam's mother, she is Kristina's mother. Have stan
go back --
Jason:
Sonny --
Sonny:
Redirect what he has to do.
Jason:
Sonny, do you think --
nny:
Have him go 100 different directions.
Jason:
Do you think I would accept this without tracking every possible
way? You think I would bring this to you unless I was absolutely
sure?
Sonny:
No -- but, you know, it just doesn't seem --
Jason:
Here.
Sonny:
What is that?
Jason:
It's all there, all of it.
Sonny:
Do you have any idea what this means? I -- oh -- I slept with a
mother and her daughter and got them both pregnant. That means that
the -- the baby that Sam was carrying, our child, is Alexis' granddaughter.
What kind of creepy, freaky crap is this?
Sonny:
My life just turned into an episode of "jerry springer."
Jason:
A what?
Sonny:
Don't worry about it. This is not right. It's sick, it's sick, it's
sick.
Jason:
Sonny -- Sonny, it's -- it's ok. You didn't know. How could you
know?
Sonny:
Yeah, I -- I didn't know, but you know what? It's not ok. No one's
supposed to -- no one's going to know about this, right? We got
that going
Jason:
No, just -- just me, you, Sam, that's all.
Sonny:
Ok, you make sure it stays that way. Because if this gets around,
then I'm -- it doesn't look good for me. And how do I -- how do
I tell Kristina, that -- that innocent little girl, that I slept
with her -- her mother and her sister? And got them both --
Jason:
Sonny, Sonny, look -- you'll never have that conversation. Sam hates
this more than you do. She can't stand Alexis. She's not going to
tell her.
Sonny:
Ok, but you know how, you know, adopted kids, they want to know
their biological parents.
Jason:
Yeah.
Sonny:
They want to ask questions.
Jason:
The difference -- Sam knows Alexis. And she blames her for her baby's
death, and now danny's, too.
Sonny:
There's not enough scotch in the world. I'm going to get some air.
Sonny:
I don't -- I don't know what to say.
Sam:
I know the feeling. Trust me, Sonny, if I had any idea where the
search would lead me, I would never, ever have pursued it. Hope
Jason made it clear to you, I do not want Alexis to know that I
am her daughter.
Sonny:
Don't look at me, because I'm not telling a single soul.
Sam:
I know. Listen, I know this is complicated for you.
Sonny:
Well, exactly. You know what? It's one of the most horrifying things
I've ever heard. You know, I don't know if I can even look at Alexis
knowing that I -- we share a child and I fathered her granddaughter.
It makes my -- you know, even talking about it makes my head explode.
Alexis:
Hi. Excuse me for interrupting. Sam, pardon me. When you have a
minute, I really need to speak to you. It's about Kristina.
