11, 2006 Transcript [Knock on door] Alexis: Hi. Are you up for a visit? Jesse: Come on in. Alexis: Ok. How you feeling? Maxie: Not good. Jesse took a bullet in his spine. Jesse: Near the spine. Maxie: Oh, whatever. The point is I don't know if he's ready to be grilled. I mean, that's what you're here for, right? Alexis: I'm actually just here to ask a quick question. I promise I won't tire him out. Jesse: It's ok, Maxie. Alexis: You were shot by Enrique Ruiz, Manny's cousin. We're trying to piece together what happened. Did you hear or see anything that transpired between Jason and Manny? Is that a yes or a no? Jesse: I can't be sure, but I think Jason threatened to kill Manny. Alexis: Jesse, were you going to mention that Jason threatened to kill Manny? Jesse: You know, I've been kind of unconscious. Alexis: You were awake when I walked in. Why don't you tell me exactly what you saw or heard. Jesse: I couldn't see anything from where I fell. I heard Jason tell Manny that, "this is for Sam." I know Jason had a gun. I think he meant to use it. Ric: Relax, Counselor. According to the medical evidence, Manny no longer has violent tendencies. Justus: Is that why you're all over Alexis anytime she goes near him? You know, you might be committed to Manny's defense, but you don't trust for one second that his miraculous change of personality is for real. Ric: Lainey's almost done with Manny's evaluation. Alexis: I've got something. Jason morgan tried to kill Manny. I filed the paperwork already. You need to arrest him immediately. Ric: You know, I'm sure you've thought about this, but going after Jason might blow up in your face. Durant could turn it around and use it against you and say that you're trying to bully Jason into giving the testimony that you want. Alexis: What are the odds that Durant is ever going to paint Jason as a victim? I've given him the opportunity to arrest Jason. There's no way he's going to pass that up. Alexis: You might want to head out. I've still got a lot of paperwork to do and I have to question Manny, so -- Ric: No, I'm co-counsel, remember? That means that we share the case equally. Alexis: I'm having Jason arrested against your advice and I want you to know that I can handle the consequences alone. Ric: Look, I've listened to your rationale, I accept your reasoning, and I'm still going to stand by you. John: Well, well, well. Look who's back. Be prepared to stick around this time, hero. We got a police witness who heard you were trying to kill Manny ruiz. Sam: Jason, I left a message with Sonny and Justus. We'll get you out of here as soon as possible. John: No, not this time, sweetheart. Jason's going to be held without bail in a nice, new cell we got all picked out for him, right next to Manny. Enjoy. Jason: There's nothing you can do to get me released right now. Just go home. Sam: Jason -- Jason: Sam, please, I'm ok. Just go home. Sam: No. Jason: Just -- Sam: You idiot. That is your own witness. Why would you have him arrested? John: Slow down. It wasn't my call. Alexis badgered detective beaudry into giving a statement. She went to the judge, he issued a warrant. Sam: So it's alexis. Ok. Alexis: I'll just be a minute. Sam: You evil, vindictive bitch. Alexis: Sam, you need to control yourself. Sam: No, don't tell me to control myself! You got Jason arrested! Alexis: That's what happens when someone attempts to kill someone. He's where he needs to be.
