"He
Won. He's Got Sole Custody."
Ric:
What happened?
Alexis:
There's been a new judge assigned to the case. He said he waited
for the matrix to change, and now he has a judge in his back pocket.
The judge reprimanded me for taking Kristina to London, which I
had the right to do because I have custodial rights.
Ric:
What was his decision?
Alexis:
My custodial rights have been suspended.
Ric:
I don't believe this.
Alexis:
He has denied me any contact with Kristina for the foreseeable future.
He won. He's got sole custody.
Ric:
Sonny's not going to have Kristina for long.
Alexis:
The judge doesn't see it that way.
Ric:
Sonny and I have an understanding.
Alexis:
You made a deal with him?
Ric:
Carly's been charged with A.J.'s murder. I'm prosecuting the case.
Sonny will go back to the original custody agreement once Carly
has been acquitted.
Alexis:
The only way to get an acquittal is if you throw the case?
Ric:
Yeah, that's right.
Alexis:
I can't let you do that.
Alexis:
We're not playing by Sonny's rules anymore. You have a responsibility
as a District Attorney and I don't want you making any deals with
him anymore.
Ric:
Kristina loves and needs you, all right? Having you in her life
is more important to me than convicting A.J.'s killer.
Alexis:
What Sonny is doing to Kristina's unconscionable and she is paying
a high price for that.
Ric:
Absolutely.
Alexis:
There is no need for you to pay for it, too.
Ric:
Don't worry about me, ok, I'm fine. For the moment, so is Kristina.
I'm just a little worried about you.
Alexis:
I'm sorry I left. I was wrong. I shouldn't have done that to you,
and I realized while I was there that Kristina and I --
Ric:
Alexis, please, I don't -- I don't want to get into this right now,
ok? I have a deal on the table with Sonny. I throw the case, everything
goes back to the way it was before.
Alexis:
I don't want you conspiring with him anymore.
Ric:
That is the best way that we can assure that you and Kristina stay
together.
Alexis:
I will request another hearing and I will take care of this.
Ric:
Alexis, that's an exercise of futility at this point.
Alexis:
This is going to stop now. I am going to end this. I am going to
do it through the proper legal channels. No matter how long it takes,
I am willing to fight that battle.
Ric:
Even if there is another way that we can win?
Alexis:
There is no way to win as long as you are negotiating with Sonny.
You do your job and you do it well. If Carly killed A.J., then you
convict her.
[Phone
rings]
John:
John Durant.
Man:
I need to see you immediately.
Alexis:
Hello, Dr. Winters. It's nice to see you again.
Louise:
Is it?
Alexis:
How about "it's necessary to see you again"? Would you
accept that?
Louise:
I will if you will. How have you been?
Alexis:
That's not an easy question to answer, and I don't know that I could
do that by myself. I'm angry, I'm upset, and I need help managing
that, and I don't think I can do that on my own.
Louise:
That was a very clear, very rational answer. You do seem considerably
less tense than you were the day of the custody hearing. I'll admit
I'm curious as to why you seem so much more composed now that you've
lost custody of your child.
Ric:
Hey. Oh, how's my favorite girl? Hi, sweetheart.
Oh,
god, it's so good to see you. That's for mommy, and that one's for
me, ok? How's she doing?
Leticia:
She's great. She's spent all day up in her tree house.
Ric:
In your tree house? Really? How was that? Was that a good time,
huh? What'd you do up in the tree house? Did you have, like, a tea
party? You've got stuff on your -- hi Michael. Must be nice to have
your sister around, huh? Kristina, you know, you're pretty lucky.
It's not everybody who has a big brother to take care of them.
Michael's
voice: I saw mommy. She had a pillow. I saw her do it.
Reese:
Did you see your mommy hurt A.J.?
Michael:
Yes.
Reese:
Hello, ric. Did you stop by to see Kristina?
Ric:
Yeah. Does anybody have a problem with that?
Reese:
Certainly not. I don't see any problem with her having a visit from
her stepfather.
Ric:
Well, good, I'm glad to hear it. Kristina, would you like to take
me over to the tree house and ow me that, huh?
Leticia:
I'll go with you.
Ric:
Great. Hey, Michael, you want to come with us?
Reese:
No. He can't.
Ric:
Look, it's a beautiful day. I don't see why Michael can't come with
Kristina and me to the tree house. Excuse me a second, sweetie.
What's the problem?
Reese:
Michael is still shaky over A.J.'s death, and Sonny just doesn't
want him pushed too hard.
Ric:
Well, I'm aware of that. If he's having a rough time, I'll bring
him back in.
Reese:
You know, Michael and I were doing a puzzle and I promised him that
we would finish it as soon as I got back, so --
Ric:
Ok. Why don't we just ask Michael and see what he thinks, huh? Michael?
Do you -- do you want to come with me and Kristina and see the tree
house, or do you want to go with Reese and finish out your puzzle?
Ric:
I don't understand. Why is Reese so determined to keep me away from
Michael?
Sam:
Reese is very protective of Michael, and I have a feeling, Ric,
that he reminds her of the little boy that she lost.
Louise:
When you had custody of your little girl, you pretended to be in
therapy with me. And now that you've lost custody, you want to be
in therapy for real. Frankly, Ms. Davis, I have doubts about your
sincerity.
Alexis:
And I don't blame you. Dr. Winters, I need counseling.
Louise:
Either that or you want to use me to look good for the courts.
Alexis:
I took my daughter to London. Her father used that opportunity to
take her away from me. I'm angry. I have a sense of injustice. I
feel a total lack of control and an inability to protect the well-being
of my daughter. I know that I lied to you. I made a mistake, and
I apologize.
Louise:
Well, obviously you have remorse.
Alexis:
I feel that I've let my daughter down because I can't protect her.
Louise:
How do you think I can help you?
Alexis:
I want to get my daughter back. And if I've done something wrong,
if I'm acting in a way that doesn't please the court, I need to
know what it is. I need to modify my behavior. And I know that won't
be easy, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes.
Man:
Sonny Corinthos must be arrested immediately.
John:
Look, I want sonny in prison as badly as you do. I thought I had
a way to get to him, but it didn't work out.
Man:
Find another way.
John:
Ok. You want him, there's only one way -- set him up.
Man:
Set him up?
John:
Frame him.
Man:
Do it quickly. Otherwise, I'll find someone who can.
Alexis:
I understand that I lied to you about seeing Dr. Winters before,
but I'm actually doing it this time, so you really don't need to
check up on me.
Ric:
Not why I'm here.
Alexis:
You visiting a sick friend?
Ric:
The woman that I love has made a commitment to try to fix her problems
through therapy. I have endless respect for that. I'm just here
for moral support.
Alexis:
Well, that's very generous of you.
Ric:
I'm your husband, Alexis. That automatically means that I'm on your
side.
[Phone
rings]
Ric:
Lansing. Carly Corinthos has been released? On whose authority?
Huh.
Ok. All right, thanks for letting me know.
Alexis:
What happened?
Ric:
Carly's supposed to be held without bail, but she's been released.
Alexis:
How'd she manage that?
Ric:
Oh, an order came down from on high. Sonny probably bought a judge,
a congressmaN - you know how he works. Everybody's on his payroll.
Alexis:
She still has to stand trial. Unless he doesn't feel like risking
it. What if he sneaks her out of the country? He's not going to
do that without sending the boys, too. He's going to go. What if
he takes Kristina with him? They could all just disappear.
Ric:
(to Jason) I thought I'd make this official. The deal that
I had with Sonny is off the table. I am going to convict carly of
A.J.'s murder. I'm going to prosecute her to the fullest extent
of the law and send her to prison for the rest of her life.
