"I
Love this Baby, I Love our Family, and I Love You"
Alexis:
I'll need the money wired by close of business today. I appreciate
that, but it's your job to facilitate the transfer, not to question
how I spend the money. Thank you. Same bank, and if you could use
this number to confirm the transaction? Thank you.
Carly:
Doesn't matter how much money you spend, Alexis. You're never going
to be able to force Sonny out of Kristinas life.
Alexis:
You always make a habit of eavesdropping on people's conversations?
Carly:
Well, last time I did, I heard you trying to poison the court-appointed
shrink against Sonny.
Alexis:
Well, goodbye, Carly.
Carly:
Explain the money.
Alexis:
Ok. I'm mounting an appeal for Nikolas' defense.
Carly:
Hmm. Try again.
Alexis:
Ok. I'm going to use the money to take a relaxing cruise to count
my blessings.
Carly:
Oh, I see. Ok, why don't you just tell me the truth? You're trying
to buy a judge to grant you sole custody. That's why you needed
the cash.

Alexis:
I am in a drama-free zone right now, so I'm not going to engage
with you.
Carly:
Yeah. In other words, I'm right.
Alexis:
In other words, you've misunderstood what you think you've heard,
which is irrelevant. Carly, I am learning not to take this personally.
I am trying to be flexible, and I'm --
Carly:
You know what? It is personal when you accuse me of being a bad
mother.
Alexis:
I lost my temper. I didn't mean it when I said that. I apologize.
And I told you, I am working on my coping skills. I'm actually seeing
a therapist. You might try that.
Carly:
Yeah, you're lying through your teeth.
Ric:
Hey, hey, hey, Carly. Back off my wife.

Ric:
Alexis isn't fighting Sonny. She's here for her therapy. Carly,
she realizes that another custody battle is not good for Kristina.
Carly:
Ok, why don't you go sell that line to somebody else because I'm
not buying it.
Ric:
Carly, why don't you go home, ok? We'll take care of our family,
you can take care of yours.
Ric:
So Dr. Meadows was sure about the tests?
Alexis:
Blood pressure's down, baby is fine. So as long as I stay rested,
I stay stress-free, there's no reason to think that this baby won't
go full term.
Ric:
You did it.
Alexis:
And you doubted me.
Ric:
Well, you weren't the easiest person to get through to.
Alexis:
I love this baby, I love our family, and I love you.

Ric:
You know what? I'm proud of you. And those coping strategies seem
to work out very, very well. You were admirably serene with Carly.
Alexis:
Yeah, it wasn't easy.
Ric:
I got a surprise for you.

Alexis:
I bet you do.
Ric:
Easy. Pick.
Alexis:
Ooh. Oh!
Ric:
Come on.
Alexis:
Grape!

Ric:
Oh, thank god. You can have anything but cherry. A toast?
Alexis:
To what?
Ric:
Oh -- to your newfound calm and its help in ending this war with
Sonny.

Alexis:
I am trying to find the balance between surrendering and knowing
that I still have a little bit of control.
Ric:
Wow, you have changed.
Alexis:
I'm trying to be flexible. And it helps knowing that you're right
beside me.

Ric:
You can lean on me anytime.
Alexis:
Ditto.

Ric:
Mac, I heard Reese was conscious.
Mac:
Yeah, she's also gone.
Ric:
What, she checked out already?
Mac:
She was supposed to stay for observation.
Ric:
Did anybody see her leave?
Mac:
Whoever took Reese didn't want us to know she was leaving.
Ric:
Or maybe they took her against her will.
