"All You Cared About was Scoring a Point with your Brother"

Carly: Hi. Thank you. Thank you all for coming here today and for caring about our son. Michael loved this park, and he especially loved the swings, and I know he would be very happy with what's going on here today. He would be thrilled that a new play structure is going up in his honor. And Sonny and I hope that this gives michael's brother and sister and all the children in port charles many happy hours and memories.

[Applause]

Woman: We at city hall would like to thank the corinthos family for their enormous generosity to our city, our park, and specifically our children. The new play structure will give children from all walks of life --

[phone rings]

Woman: The opportunity to explore --

[phone rings]

Woman: This park is easily accessible --

Ric: Where? How many?

John: Find a witness, find a survivor. We need proof.

Reese: Any indication who's behind it?

Woman: The new structure will triple the capacity of the play area, while eliminating hazards posed by the present outdated equipment.

Woman: Construction begins tomorrow on the new play structure, which is scheduled to be completed by early summer. So when you see children swinging and laughing, enjoying their day and just being kids, think of Michael. Thank you.

[Sirens]

Carly: Thank you. Thank you so much for being here.

Sonny: We appreciate it.

Woman: It's the least i can do, considering your generous contribution. Please know my prayers are with you in your time of loss.

Carly: I'm going to --

bobbie: Oh, here we go. Yeah.

John: Hey.

Reese: What?

John: Were you notified?

Reese: Yeah, two down from the sandoval family, one in a hospital elevator and the other in an alley behind his office.

John: Yeah, well, there's a third, shot in the hallway outside his mistress' apartment. And he did it. You realize that, don't you?

Reese: Yeah.

John: The Sandoval crime family has been gunning for Sonny, taking advantage of Michael's death, and he just put a stop to it. I'll give the man credit -- it was a gutsy move, but it was also a foolish one. Sonny is finally going down, and he did it to himself.

Alexis: Ok, you obviously have to leave, and i'm going to take her home where she's safe.

Ric: Yeah, good.

Alexis: You'll keep me informed?

Ric: I will. Come on.

Sonny: Hey. What? You going to -- you going to leave without letting me kiss my daughter goodbye?

Alexis: Here you go.

Ric: Lansing.

John: So was murdering your sister part of the plan? Seems a little cold even for you, Sonny.

Ric: Apparently, you were misinformed, durant. Courtney matthews was, indeed, at the metro court restaurant, but according to the officers at the scene, she was not hurt. Another woman, unfortunately, was hit -- dr. Rachel adair. She's been taken to general hospital. She's in critical condition.

John: Well, well, well. Aren't i impressed? Such sibling solidarity. Are you officially on Sonny's payroll now, or just risking your job as D.A. To cover for your brother in an act of altruism?

Ric: I resent the implication, durant. See, unlike you, i'm trying to collect facts, I'm not leaping to conclusions. If i find out that Sonny had anything to do with this, I will prosecute him -- with a smile on my face.

Ric: Wait a minute, I thought you were going to take Kristina home.

Alexis: I wanted to make sure that i wasn't giving in to my paranoia about Sonny. You didn't look surprised at all when you got that phone call, did you? You knew this was going to happen.

Alexis: You knew that Sonny was going to wage war on a mob rival today. You knew that they might retaliate. You knew that he was a sitting duck. And yet you brought my daughter here anyway.

Ric: It was a public ceremony, Alexis, all right? There were three city council members that were present. Kristina wasn't in any danger.

Alexis: Who do you think you're talking to? Her father, your brother, is a target, as is anyone and everyone around him. She could've been sitting on his lap today and been shot. And there was nothing he could do about it. And you didn't care. All you cared about was scoring a point with your brother.

Ric: I resent that. I brought Kristina here because Sonny wanted her here and because I thought that i would abide by the custody agreement that --

Alexis: Making my daughter a target is not part of any agreement!

Ric: Will you take a step back just for a second and look at this thing objectively? I had no ulterior motive other than offering him an olive branch so that you could retain primary custody of Kristina.

Sonny: I have nothing to say to you, Ric.

Ric: That'll work. You can listen. Nine men died tonight. Granted, each one was more loathsome than the last -- drug dealers, underage prostitution rings. The list is endless. There are people who would argue that if you are responsible for their deaths, then you deserve a medal. That's not for me to say. If and when the evidence comes in that links you to their deaths, I am going to do my job and i am going to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.

Sonny: You came all the way out here to tell me something I already know?

Ric: I came here as a family member.

Sonny: In other words, you want something. Probably has to do with Alexis.

Ric: Well, it's no secret that she can be overprotective at times. But you got to admit, Sonny, you've given her good reason to.

Sonny: What do you want?

Ric: I want time. Time for Alexis to breathe a little. You know, for a chance for her to feel safe and secure, a chance for her blood pressure to go down so that she can take care of Kristina and this child she's carrying.

Sonny: Which happens to be yours.

Ric: That's right. Also happens to be your niece or nephew.

Sonny: I'm going to ask you again -- what do you want?

Ric: Ease up on the visitation. A couple of months, please, tops.

Sonny: You know -- ahem -- I actually think you came here with good intentions, but we both know that Alexis hates that Kristina is with me. And, you know, two months, two years -- not going to matter. I'm not going to distance myself from my daughter waiting for the day that, you know, Alexis suddenly turns reasonable. But I will -- I will -- I will give you my word that what happened today will make Kristina a lot safer.

Reese: So you admit you ordered the hits?
