"I Love You, Alexis"

Ric: Just listen to me. I'm going to go for help, all right? I'll be back soon. You're going to be all right.

Dillon: Hello? Somebody out there?

Ric: Yeah, over here, over here!

Dillon: Hey.

Ric: Dillon!

Dillon: What -- what happened?

Ric: No, somebody -- somebody ran into our car and then they took off. I have to get alexis to a hospital.

Ric: That's it, all right. Easy, easy. Watch --

paramedic: Any pre-existing conditions?

Ric: She's pregnant. My wife and baby going to be all right?

Paramedic: We won't know until we get to the hospital.

Ric: All right, i'm riding with you. Thanks, guys, for your help.

Ofc. Murphy: Did you see the car that hit them?

Dillon: Huh? No, we parked about a half-mile down the road at the turnout and we were walking up and we heard Ric Lansing calling for help.

Ofc. Murphy: Did you see anything suspicious on the road?

Dillon: Um --

Georgie: No, nothing.

Ofc. Murphy: Any details you can remember, any at all?

Dillon: No, that's really it. I'm just glad that we got here, you know?

Georgie: Listen, would it be ok if we went to the hospital? I really want to make sure alexis is ok.

Ofc. Murphy: Give me a minute. I'm sure your father will want to ask you some questions.

Reese: Excuse me, Sonny, Carly. Ric and Alexis have been the victims of a hit-and-run. Alexis is injured, but she's still alive. Ric seems to be unharmed. They're both on their way to General Hospital.

Carly: Ok.

Sonny: Any word who hit them?

Reese: None so far.

Sonny: Ok. Armando Sandoval just got out of prison --

Reese: Right.

Sonny: Three months ago. Ric got him convicted. The Sandovals have been pressuring me. Maybe they had something to do with it.

Reese: Right, well, I read the Sandoval file and it's -- I mean, he's definitely capable of setting this thing up.

Carly: Whoa. What are you talking about? This is a hit-and-run accident. It's not a conspiracy.

Reese: Look, Carly, the Sandoval crime family has been moving into this city, and it just makes sense that they would target sonny's family.

Carly: Some guy probably left the bar with too many drinks under his belt. He hit Ric's car, he didn't want to get caught and have his license taken away, so he left, he took off. End of story.

Ric: Hmm. Thanks.

Ric: What is it?

Elizabeth: Herbal tea. It's supposed to help calm you.

Ric: I just want to hear that alexis and the baby are all right. Dr. Quartermaine, how -- how is Alexis?

Monica: Well, she's still unconscious, and if she doesn't wake up soon, we're going to take her down for a cat scan.

Ric: And the baby?

Bobbie: Dr. Meadows did a prelim exam, but we won't know anything until the tests are back.

Ric: How long?

Bobbie: I can make sure they put a rush on it.

Monica: You can go in and sit with her if you want.

Ric: Thank you.

Monica: Mm-hmm.

Ric: Hey.

Ric: I know you're going to be all right. I mean, something as little as a car accident can't stop the force of nature that is Alexis Davis. You know, you're not always the best listener, so -- um -- while I have the floor, there's a couple of things that i'd like to say to you. I am so grateful to you for giving me a family -- Kristina, this child that's inside of you. I got to tell you, Alexis, since the day that I married you, you have been a constant surprise to me. I admire you. I -- I respect you.

Ric: I love you. I love you, Alexis, and I need you. So, just do me a favor, ok? Come back as soon as you can.

Ric: Alexis? Hey. How you feeling?

Alexis: Foggy.

Ric: Yeah?

Alexis: We're in the car.

Ric: Yeah?

Alexis: Somebody hit us. Is the baby ok?

Ric: Well, your test results are going to be in soon. Until then, I think it's very important that you stay in bed.

Alexis: And what am I supposed to do while i'm here? I want to just hear if the baby's ok or not.

Ric: Could always hold my hand and we can wait together.

Alexis: Oh, I don't know why I did this to myself for.

Ric: You didn't do anything to yourself.

Alexis: Yes, I did. I made an effort to be spontaneous, and look what happened.

Ric: No, don't beat yourself up. Spontaneity looked pretty good on you.

Alexis: The price is too high. What if we lose the baby?

Ric: No, listen to me. Listen, this baby, our baby is a fighter. You know, he or she toughed out the first few weeks, and I think that's exactly what's going to happen now.

Monica: Well, I have your test results. The baby is fine.

Alexis: Oh, thank god.

Ric: Oh, see, see? I told you.

Monica: Unfortunately, there is a problem with Alexis.

Monica: You have a heart murmur.

Alexis: What -- what does that mean exactly?

Monica: Well, pregnancy increases the blood flow, and the heart has to work a little harder to circulate that blood, so you may experience some heart palpitations.

Ric: Ok, but what -- is that life-threatening? I mean is it --

Monica: No. No.

Alexis: Will it affect the baby?

Monica: No. But I want to keep you overnight for observation.

Alexis: Uh -- can I go to work when I'm feeling a little better? That's a big stress-reliever for me.

Ric: Alexis --

Monica: The best thing you can do for yourself is not to worry, Alexis. You are fine, the baby is fine, and there's no reason in the world that you both can't stay that way, ok?

Ric: Thank you.

Alexis: Thanks, Monica.

Ric: I'll see you out.

Monica: Mm-hmm.

Alexis: She said I didn't have to stay in bed, which is good because that's more stressful than anything else.

Ric: No, I still think you need to rest, and I reserve the right to take you to bed anytime I feel that you're not.

Alexis: Promise?

Ric: Well, I think with a little creativity, we can both enjoy some bed rest. You know what, not tonight. I want you to sleep.

Alexis: I'll miss you.

Ric: I'll miss you, too.

Alexis: I want to call kristina.

Ric: Ok.

Alexis: Thank you.

[Phone rings]

Viola: Hello?

Alexis: Hey, viola. We were in a car accident.

Viola: Oh, my gosh.

Alexis: I'm sorry. I just have to stay overnight, and I'm fine. I just wanted to say good night to Kristina.

Viola: She's at her father's.

Alexis: What?

Viola: When you didn't come home on time, I called mr. Corinthos, so he had Kristina picked up. He felt Kristina would be safer at his place.

Alexis: I want you to go pick up Kristina at Sonny's house and bring her home.

Ric: No, Alexis, she's already sleeping. I'll pick her up in the morning.

Alexis: No, no, I don't want her there alone.

Ric: Sonny has lost one child already. He's not going to let this happen again.

Alexis: The last time she was there, she was taken out of his house. You and I may have been targets tonight. I don't want that to happen to her. You have to go get her.

Ric: Alexis, what happened to us tonight was an accident.

Alexis: Do you really believe that? Are you so sure, you're so positive that you're willing to risk her life?

Ric: Kristina's life is not at risk, ok? Sonny's got that place patrolled like a fortress. It's a lot safer than our apartment is.

Alexis: You really believe that?

Ric: Yes, yes, I do, ok? Now I want you to get some sleep, all right? Good night.

Ric: Listen to me, when i was pulling you out of that car tonight and I thought that you might be seriously hurt, it made me realize all over again how much you do mean to me. You have completely changed my life.

Alexis: Thank you for saving me. Thank you for loving me. I'm a very lucky woman, and I know that.

Ric: All right. I'll see you later. Get some rest.

Alexis: Ok, I will.

Carly: Hey. How's alexis?

Ric: Oh, she and the baby are fine, thanks. They want her to stay here for observation, but other than that, there's no problems.

Carly: Did you by any chance see who hit you?

Ric: No.

Carly: No? Because you know there's some question on whether this accident was accidental.

Ric: Yeah, I know. Alexis has herself convinced that sonny's enemies are coming after her.

Carly: Yeah, and you don't believe it?

Ric: Carly, if Sonny's enemies did want Alexis and me dead, then they would've come back to finish the job. These people play for keeps. I don't think I have to remind you of that.

Sonny: Why do you want to believe me?

Reese: Because of what I saw during the kidnapping. A man who loves his children as deeply as you do -- he could never harm his child's mother.

Alexis: That's where you may be wrong, Agent Marshall. Sonny would do and has done anything to hold on to Kristina, even if it means coming after me.
