"He's
Gone"
Ric:
We may have just gotten a break.
Emily:
Bobbie, these are the updated patient reports.
Bobbie:
Oh.
Emily:
There you go.
Bobbie:
Thank you. Honey, weren't you supposed to go home hours ago?
Emily:
Oh, I just wanted to get this finished.
Bobbie:
Emily, you're still in school. You have a full course load, and
you're helping out here all the time.
Emily:
Yes, I like to keep busy.
Bobbie:
Is it helping you to keep your mind off Nikolas?
Emily:
Hey, Alexis, are you headed home?
Alexis:
Yeah, the paperwork's all signed.
Emily:
Is the baby ok?
Alexis:
We're both fine.
Bobbie:
Well, you both need to get some rest. You remember what Dr. Meadows
said -- take it slow.
Alexis:
I can do that now that Kristinas safe. I wish I could say
the same thing for Michael and I pray that he's all right.
Emily:
Well, do you need a ride?
Alexis:
You know, Ric has the car at the station, so I was going to take
a cab.
Emily:
No, gosh -- don't be silly. I was just leaving.
Alexis:
Are you sure you don't mind?
Emily:
No, no, let's go. I'll be back tomorrow, Bobbie.
Bobbie:
Why don't you take tomorrow off?
Emily:
Don't worry. I'm fine, really.
Alexis:
Bye, Bobbie.
Emily:
Bye.
Ric:
I don't have a lot of information. The sniper who shot Faith was
killed when Agent Marshall tried to take him into custody. We need
to check to see if he's on your payroll.
Carly:
You know, you can forget trying to pin this on Lorenzo. That was
our last lead to Michael.
Ric:
Carly --
Carly:
You need to be going through his stuff. You need to figure out where
my son is.
Ric:
As soon as we have more information, we will let you know.
Ric:
All right.
Carly:
Was that about Michael? Did they find any clues in the sniper's
things, Ric?
Ric:
Carly, Agent Marshall will call when she has more information, all
right? She's still at the scene. I have to get something from my
office.
Carly:
Yeah, I'll come with you.
Ric:
Why?
Carly:
Because. If they find anything out about Michael, you're going to
be the first to know, and I want to be there.
Ric:
All right.
Alexis:
Did you have any trouble getting her down?
Viola:
She tried so hard to stay awake to see you, but the sandman won.
Alexis:
Listen, thanks for coming by at the last minute. I really appreciate
it.
Viola:
It's so good to have her back. Good night, Ms. Davis.
Alexis:
I know! I know. Good night. Have a good night, Viola. And you, my
friend, should go home, too.
Emily:
No. Listen, Alexis, I'm in no rush. Let me help you get settled.
I can make you some tea.
Alexis:
I'm fine. I can handle that.
Emily:
Come on, let me help you. I want to help.
Alexis:
Emily, you always do. I think you should go home and take care of
yourself.
Emily:
I am. Why?
Alexis:
I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but you look exhausted
and you look anxious.
Emily:
Why would I take that the wrong way? Besides, you're supposed to
be the one on bed rest.
Alexis:
If Monica could see you right now she would be telling you the same
thing, too. With everything that's going on -- Michael, with A.J.,
all of it -- there's no wonder that you're worn out.
Emily:
Oh, it's a lot to deal with.
Alexis:
Nikolas being in prison, and you know what? You have to tell him
Im sorry that I haven't been able to be there or contact him
as much as Id like.
Emily:
No, Alexis. With everything that you've been through, he understands.
Alexis:
How is he?
Emily:
Oh, lonely. I hate even thinking about it.
Alexis:
How are you?
Emily:
I miss him. I can't even remember what life was like before all
this happened.
Alexis:
No, Emily, promise me you're not going to forget about that. Look,
now that Kristina is fine and she's safe, I can get to work on his
appeal and get him released.
Emily:
But we still can't find Helena.
Alexis:
You know, there's plenty of people that have seen her;, seen that
she's alive. It's very good grounds for an appeal. I'm going to
get your husband back sooner than you think.
Emily:
No, no, no. Listen, I know you're going to do your best, but so
much could go wrong, so Im just going to try to get through
these days without him the best I can.
Alexis:
No one has ever accused me of optimism, but can you at least try
to hope that Nikolas will come back home?
Alexis:
Trust Ric to hide all of my caffeine and replace it with herbal
tea now that he knows Im pregnant.
Emily:
Oh, it's chamomile. It's supposed to be calming and soothing, right?
Alexis:
You changed the subject when I brought Nikolas up. Is there something
going on between the two of you?
Emily:
No, Alexis, of course not. I want Nikolas to come home. It's the
only thing that would make any of this pain worth it.
Alexis:
You're referring to Connor?
Emily:
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So many people have made sacrifices for Nikolas.
I killed a man, and Lucky almost died.
Alexis:
Are you worried that prison is going to change Nikolas?
Emily:
No. Nikolas is always going to be the same.
Alexis:
You know, I've had plenty of clients who have gone to prison and
come back unrecognizable. That is not going to happen to Nikolas
because he's too strong from that. He will come back just the same
and he will love you just as much.
Emily:
I know, but do you really think that we're ever going to get back
to the way things were?
Alexis:
You'll work at it.
Emily:
I know but, Alexis, sometimes I feel like something in me has been
damaged or lost.
Alexis:
What do you mean?
Emily:
I don't know, there's just been so much pain.
Alexis:
Ok, so the two of you will work it out together. That's what you
do. You've done it before, challenge after challenge, and it's only
made the two of you love each other more.
Emily:
Yeah, I know. Of course. I know. You're right. I'm just --
Alexis:
You're tired.
Emily:
Yeah.
Alexis:
You are tired and I understand that, believe me. I'm -- now that
Kristinas fine, I feel like I can sleep for a week, and I
am suggesting that you go home and you do the same thing.
Emily:
Yeah, no, you're right. You know what? We both need rest, so I'm
going to take your advice and I'm going to go home and get some
sleep. Alexis, thank you.
Alexis:
Emily --
Emily:
Bye.
Alexis:
Thank you for taking me home.
Emily:
Yeah.
Alexis:
Do you want some apple juice?

Probably shouldn't give that to you now, but since I woke you up,
it's only fair, right? Mommy missed you. I'm sorry, I couldn't help
it. Ok. Hi.

Ric:
Hi. What's -- what's my favorite little lady doing up, huh?
Alexis:
I'm guilty. I poked her gently until she woke up. I needed a hug.
You want to hold it yourself, sweetheart? That's my big girl. I'll
be right back. Seems like you might need a hug, too. They found
him?

Ric:
They had proof. He's gone.

Alexis:
A week ago I didn't even know that Id see my daughter again,
and now we're here and we're home and we're safe.
Ric:
Yeah. I'm grateful for that.

Alexis:
I wish more than anything that there was a happy ending for everybody.
Ric:
Yeah.
Alexis:
Ric, you've been helping me over and over, and now I want to help
you, so talk to me.

Ric:
Most of my adult life I have spent envying Sonny because my mother
chose him instead of me. I wanted everything that he -- everything
that he had, for years.

I couldn't
wait to see the -- the look on his face when I beat him.

I wouldn't
want this for him. I wouldn't want it for anybody.
