"Kristina's Gone"

Man: Sonny's people are planning to rip out the "faulty" security system and start over from scratch. When they rip out the old system and the house has no protection, that's when we'll be able to make our move.

Brook Lynn: Hey?

Sonny: Hmm?

Brook Lynn: Is there a problem, or --

Sonny: No. Not at all.

Brook Lynn: Ok. Do you think that the system might zap out, because it did that the other night and I just want to make --

Sonny: We're just doing a little work on it.

Brook Lynn: Ok. Should I grab a flashlight? Just because I’m with the kids and, you know -- and I just want to be prepared.

Sonny: Everything's going to be fine. Can you just do me a favor? Just keep an eye on Kristina. Will you do that?

Brook Lynn: Sure.

Sonny: All right.

Sonny: I just want the security system fixed as soon as possible.

Rollo: Well, we'll need to take it down for an hour for the interface.

Sonny: Fine, fine, fine. Just -- you know what you got to do. Ok. Well, look at the bear. That's your favorite bear. Come over here with your daddy. All right. Look at that. Now, this is your favorite bear, right? Remember you lost it and you found it, huh? Do you remember who gave it to you that day, huh? When you were --

Michael: Hey, what happened?

Sonny: Shh.

Michael: Careful.

Sonny: You ok, Michael?

Michael: Yeah, I'm fine.

Sonny: Everything's fine?

Michael: Yep.

Sonny: You all right?

Michael: Yeah.

Sonny: Ouch!

Max: Hey, sorry about that. I should've warned you that could happen. Getting ready to take down the system right now, so --

Sonny: Is there a problem?

Max: No. I mean, you know, everything's good so far. Ok.

Sonny: Ok. Nothing to worry about. Everything's fine, ok?

Michael: All right.

Brook Lynn: Great.

Sonny: You guys go play, do whatever you got to do.

Michael: Ok.

Brook Lynn: Michael, come with me. Let's go over there.

Michael: Ok.

Brook Lynn: You want to come? Come on.

Sonny: Ok, I don't want my children to get upset, so you need to double up the guards until we get the security system up and running.

Max: I'm on it.

Michael: Jason!

Jason: Hey -- hey, whoa. What's up? Hey, Kristina. You having fun? You like the new house?

Michael: She thinks it's awesome.

Jason: Really?

Michael: You want to see my car go round and round backwards?

Sonny: How about in a little while, buddy, because we got business to discuss.

Michael: Ok. Come on, Kristina. That means we have to get out of the way.

Brook Lynn: Come on, let's go. Hey.

Jason: Hey. What's up?

Sonny: Another problem with the security system.

Jason: Well, are they trying to fix it?

Sonny: I told them to rip it out, replace it.

Jason: You want me to take the kids home in the meantime?

Sonny: No, no, Alexis is busy tonight -- that's the only reason she let me take Kristina -- and if I send Kristina home early, it only validates her paranoia that she's not safe with me.

Jason: All right, what -- what do you want me to do?

Sonny: Just keep an eye on things, will you? Just -- I mean, it's probably nothing, but I just don't like that it refuses to work. And I know Stan knows what he's doing. He installs a lot of things and I'm sure he did it right but why, out of a hundred jobs that he's done for me, this one isn't done right?

Jason: Ok, you said you wanted a state-of-the-art system. That's what he's trying to give you, but maybe this system is too complicated or there's a fault that he can't find yet.

Sonny: Well, look, he better find a new faultless security system by tomorrow morning.

Max: Hey.

Sonny: Hey.

Max: They're ready to shut it down.

Sonny: Ok.

Max: I got two guards on grounds, and I got Vic on the front gate.

Sonny: Fine. Just get it done.

Jason: Let's go, Max, please. This thing is taking forever. Let's just shut it down and get it fixed.

Max: All right. System's officially down.

Jason: Ok.

[Phone speed-dials]

[Phone rings]

Woman: It's done. Do it now.

Rollo: Got it. Max asked me to take over the gate. He wants you to walk the perimeter. Make it quick. The boss wants this over before they know what hit them.

Brook Lynn: Hey, is it ok if we go upstairs?

Sonny: Yeah, yeah, you guys can go up.

Brook Lynn: Ok. Come on. Ok.

Jason: Are you all right?

Sonny: Yeah, I'll be all -- I'll be really all right once this security system's up and running.

Jason: Ok, you want me to hurry things up, just tell me.

Sonny: No, I'm trying not to be paranoid here, ok? Max said he's got it covered, so -- how was Sam? Was she all right when you talked to her?

Jason: You know, I'm not sure. Maybe she just needs some room.

Sonny: Yeah.

Jason: She -- you know, she doesn't like depending on anybody, or me.

Sonny: She's been burnt pretty bad.

Jason: I know she has, and she's been on her own for a long time so, you know, maybe she was right. Maybe she doesn't need me.

Sonny: I doubt that.

Jason: Look, Sonny, I want to help her. I just -- I don't know how.

Sonny: Sam knows what she has with you. I guarantee you she's not going to throw that away.

Michael: Ok, Aunt Courtney got me this great puzzle for Christmas.

Brook Lynn: Hey, Michael, slow down, please.

Michael: See the puzzle?

Brook Lynn: Hey, Michael, I asked you to slow down, all right?

Michael: Sorry.

Brook Lynn: There we go.

Michael: Look, Kristina. This puzzle's pretty hard.

Brook Lynn: Want to play with the puzzle?

Michael: Aunt Courtney says it's better for my mind than video games.

Brook Lynn: Oh, yeah? So, what do you think?

Michael: Well, Dragon Duster is really good, but the puzzle is better.

Brook Lynn: Right.

Michael: Hey, you want to help?

Brook Lynn: Sure. I mean, between the three of us, we can probably finish this in, like, five minutes, right?

Michael: Yeah.

Brook Lynn: Want to play?

Michael: Ok, where should we start?

Michael: I am hungry.

Brook Lynn: You are?

Michael: I want some popcorn.

Brook Lynn: Look, Michael, I can't really wake Kristina up right now. So when we're --

Michael: I can go downstairs by myself.

Brook Lynn: I don't think so.

Michael: I'm not a baby.

Brook Lynn: Michael, we're supposed to stay together.

Michael: It's just downstairs. I can handle myself till then.

Brook Lynn: Ok. But, listen, you are to go downstairs and ask your father if you can have the popcorn, ok?

Michael: Ok.

Brook Lynn: All right.

Michael: I'll bring you some.

Brook Lynn: Perfect.

[Phone rings]

Brook Lynn: Diego?

Diego: Where are you?

Brook Lynn: Hey, I’m over at Sonny’s.

Diego: Well, why are you whispering?

Brook Lynn: I don't want to wake up Kristina.

Diego: How late are you working?

Brook Lynn: I'm supposed to spend the night tonight, so --

Diego: I need to see you.

Brook Lynn: What happened?

Diego: It's about my dad. Can you get away?

Brook Lynn: Not really, but maybe I can go talk in the hallway, ok? Hang on one sec.

Jason: Ok, you want me to go and check with Max again?

Sonny: I just want to -- I got to let him do his job.

Jason: Sonny, I’m asking you, do you think this is taking too long?

Sonny: I don't know. Maybe. Yeah.

Jason: Ok.

Sonny: Yeah --

Jason: I'm going to check on the kids, and I’ll check on Max.

Michael: Hey, dad.

Sonny: Hey. How's everything going up there?

Michael: Great. Kristina fell asleep --

Sonny: Yeah?

Michael: And all I want is popcorn.

Sonny: Sure.

Michael: Unless you have potato chips.

Sonny: You know what? You get to eat all the potato chips you want at your mother's, right?

Michael: Yeah.

Sonny: You know what I'm going to give you?

Michael: What?

Sonny: Something very good -- carrot sticks and broccoli.

Michael: Ugh!

Sonny: What do you mean, "ugh"?

Michael: Ugh.

Sonny: You know what? I don't care what your mom says. Nobody can survive on a diet of frozen pizza and French fries.

Michael: I can.

Sonny: You can?

Michael: Yeah.

Sonny: Go get your popcorn.

Michael: Ok.

Max: Ooh --

Sonny: What do you say, buddy?

Michael: Excuse me.

Sonny: Ah. Ok, do me a favor. You check on all the windows, and have them speed it up, will you?

Max: Yes, sir. Yeah.

Sonny: All right.

Jason: All right, I’m just going to go with Michael, keep an eye on him.

Sonny: No, he wants to do it himself. I mean, you know, you shouldn't hover over him, like, 24/7 like Alexis does with Kristina. Sometimes, you know, I think she wants something to happen to those kids, and then she can throw it in my face.

Brook Lynn: Right, and then what did Carly say? Right, ok.

Brook Lynn: Diego, I have to go.

Diego: Wait, wait, wait. What do you think I should do?

Brook Lynn: You're not going to want to hear it, ok?

Diego: You're going to tell me that I should give him a second chance, right?

Brook Lynn: Well, it's not like he bailed on you, Diego. He didn't even know about you, right? And ever since he found out about you, he's been trying to connect.

Diego: No, because he feels guilty.

Brook Lynn: How can you claim to understand what he's feeling when you won't even talk to him for five minutes?

Diego: I don't know. I can just tell.

Brook Lynn: Well, I would love to sit here and explain to you how being able to, you know, feel what your father is feeling for something means that you're actually connecting, but I have to get back to babysitting, ok?

Diego: Ok -- que los angeles esten contigo.

Brook Lynn: What's that mean, like, "goodbye" or something?

Diego: It means, "May the angels be with you."

Brook Lynn: That's so beautiful.

Jason: All right, just try to relax. I'm going to go outside. I'm going to check --

Brook Lynn: Help! Help! Oh, my God! Someone, please help! Hurry!

Sonny: What happened?

Brook Lynn: Kristina's gone.

[Knock on door]

Ric: Alexis? Alexis?

Brook Lynn: I stepped right into the hall, ok, just to take a cell call. I stayed right next to the door. I swear, I didn't hear anything. Kristina -- she was right here.
