"I
Miss Having You In My Life"
Alexis:
You know that 2 1/2-year-olds can be quite a handful. You can't
take your eyes off of them for a minute, right?
Sonny:
Yeah, I'm aware of that. But you don't have anything to worry about
because, see, I got Michael here to take care of -- you know, take
care of her.
Alexis:
And Leticia will be here, right?
Sonny:
Well, Leticia's at Carly's with Morgan. He's got a cold. But Kristina's
got her dad and her big brother looking out for her. She'll be safe
and happy. Don't worry about it.
Alexis:
When you watch both of them at the same time, it can get a little
rough, so I don't want -- I don't want it to be an imposition for
you.
Sonny:
Not at all.
Alexis:
You sure?
Sonny:
Max is here, right? Jason. Guards.
Alexis:
I was hoping maybe someone could watch her that wasn't hiding a
weapon?
Michael:
Hey, kristina. I got this great new video game. Can I show you how
to play it?
Alexis:
You want to go?
Sonny:
Yeah.
Alexis:
See the video?
Sonny:
You see?
Alexis:
Ok. Come on.
Sonny:
She and Michael are going to have the greatest time. Look at that.
Look at that.
Alexis:
Mommy will be in to say goodbye, honey. Is it violent?
Sonny:
What?
Alexis:
The video -- is it violent?
Sonny:
Is it violent?
Alexis:
Mm-hmm?
Sonny:
It's rated E-C.
Alexis:
Oh. Ok. Ok. Will you do me a favor, please? Just let me get a babysitter
in here. It'll just make me feel better, and it'll give you an extra
hand if you need it.
Sonny:
You know, why don't you, like, call an agency and hire a backup
nanny? Anything to convince you that kristina's going to be safe
with her dad.
Alexis:
Hey. Have you guys seen Brook Lynn anywhere?
Georgie:
Probably with Diego.
Alexis:
And where would he be?
Dillon:
You might want to try Lorenzo Alcazar.
Alexis:
Oh --
Dillon:
Yeah.
Alexis:
He's not working for him, is he?
Georgie:
No, he -- uh -- just found out that's his father.
Dillon:
Yeah. Long story.
Georgie:
Yeah, he just found out a few weeks ago.
Alexis:
And she's over there with the two of them?
Dillon:
Mm-hmm.
Alexis:
Why don't I just recruit a babysitter from the post office "wanted"
list?
Ric:
Hi.
Alexis:
Hi.
Ric:
I was glad to hear from you.
Alexis:
Uh --
Ric:
I got your message.
Alexis:
Yeah, I just -- you know, I wanted to let you know that I --
Ric:
Yes?
Alexis:
Miss you. I miss you as a friend and a colleague.
Ric:
And what?
Alexis:
I miss having you in my life.
Ric:
I feel the same way. Come on, what do you say we go sit down and
talk about it over lunch?
Alexis:
Oh, I can't. I -- I -- I can't. Something urgent came up.
Ric:
Well, then why don't I stop by tonight. I could read Kristina a
bedtime story.
Alexis:
She's staying at Sonny's tonight.
Ric:
Well, then you and I can have a nice, quiet dinner --
Alexis:
Ok.
Ric:
Just the two of us.
Alexis:
Yeah, well --
Ric:
No?
Alexis:
I'm supposed to do some research at Gates Hall and -- I could do
it quickly --
Ric:
Ok.
Alexis:
And, you know, maybe --
Ric:
Is it a yes or a no?
Alexis:
Both. I mean -- ok, with the understanding that if I need to, I
can cancel.
Ric:
Listen to me. I get that you're conflicted. I am, too.
Alexis:
I'm just feeling a bit trepidatious.
Ric:
I know the feeling.
Alexis:
Well -- uh -- I got to go.
Ric:
I'll see you tonight.
Sonny:
You know, what does alexis think that Kristina is doing over here?
Smoking a havana cigar, leaning back, making a poker bet?
Jason:
You know Alexis has always been nervous.
Sonny:
Yeah, but I tell you what -- if i had to go through this hassle
every time i saw Michael and Morgan, I'd lose my mind. At least,
you know -- at least Carly is willing to be reasonable.
Jason:
Maybe not.
Michael:
So the squirrels have to use these little tunnels to get the acorns.
Michael:
I'm going to just go upstairs to get a better controller, ok?
Kristina:
Ok.
Man:
We may have some competition.
[Alarm]
Sonny:
Kristina? How you doing, sweetheart? What happened? Why did the
alarm go off?
Jason:
Someone must've crossed an exterior beam.
Sonny:
You all right? Let me see.
Michael:
The squirrels are in the tunnels and they need our help. Can
I see that? Kristina.
Jason:
Everything looks ok.
Sonny:
What set the alarm off?
Jason:
I don't know. I guess there's some kind of glitch in the security
system. The alarm goes off for no apparent reason. Just when we
think we got it debugged, it just -- you know, something goes wrong.
Sonny:
That's unacceptable.
Jason:
I called Stan. He's going to have it repaired this afternoon.
Sonny:
I can't take chances. You rip it out, and we'll have a new one installed.
A faulty security system is worse than none at all.
Alexis:
Ah, Brook Lynn, there you are. I've been looking for you. Kristina's
spending the night with her dad tonight, and Viola has got some
family emergency, Leticia isn't available --
Brook Lynn: Do you need some help?
Alexis:
I would really appreciate it. I'm not that comfortable leaving Sonny
there with her alone without a babysitter, and you and your mom
are --
Brook Lynn: Look, alexis, I'll just head over there now, ok? Besides,
I'm saving up for this digital camera, so --
Alexis:
Then consider it my contribution. It's going to be a lot better
for me knowing that there's someone in the house with kristina that
i trust.
Brook Lynn: Hey.
Sonny:
Whew. Hi.
Brook Lynn: Hi. Listen, Alexis asked me to come over here and to help
you watch kristina. I hope that's ok.
Sonny:
Yeah -- yeah, yeah. You and your mom are always welcome here. You
know that.
Brook Lynn: Thanks. So where's Kristina?
Sonny:
She's in the living room with Michael. They're playing around safe
and sound, despite Alexis' worries.
Brook Lynn: She's not exactly worried, ok?
Man:
Sonny's people are planning to rip out the "faulty" security
system and start over from scratch. When they rip out the old system
and the house has no protection, that's when we'll be able to make
our move.
