"You
Used Me"
Emily:
Nikolas and I can be alone? No prison guards, no interruptions?
Alexis:
That's right.
Emily:
Just the two of us?
Alexis:
Yes.
Emily:
When?
Alexis:
Today. In fact, the visits are between 4:00 and 8:00, so we have
to go.
Emily:
Then let's go.
Emily:
You're saying that I can't go visit my own husband?
Connor:
It's a bad idea.
Emily:
It's none of your business.
Connor:
What if helena follows you?
Alexis:
Or one of her people will. She's probably having you watched.
Connor:
If helena thinks I'm nikolas, why would she go to pentonville?
Emily:
To keep up the scam. Connor, it's going to look more suspicious
if I don't go.
Connor:
Why even take the risk? I mean, if this plan works, nikolas could
go free and then you can see him all you want.
Emily:
Look, I'm going, ok? I need to see my husband. He needs to know
about the plan, especially if we think that helena's closing in.
Alexis:
You know what? He may have a point. Maybe we should reconsider.
Because if the plan works, Nikolas is going to be released very
soon anyway, and if we push this, then helena's going to find out
and it's going to jeopardize everything, most of all your own life.
Emily:
I'm not afraid of Helena.
Alexis:
You should be.
Emily:
Alexis, she's not going to stop me from seeing my husband. Hey,
I don't care about the dangers or the risks or anything else. I'm
going. Are you coming with me or not?
Man:
Mr. Lansing. It's been a while. What, you don't remember me? The
lab tech who switched the D.N.A. Test results for alexis davis'
baby? Hey, you know, I -- I heard you married her. That true?
Ric:
My personal life is none of your concern.
Man:
No, hey, hey, you should be celebrating, right? You wanted to steal
your brother's kid. You did it. Congratulations.
Ric:
Why don't we step over here out of the line of traffic, ok?
Man:
Sure.
Ric:
Didn't expect to see you.
Man:
Yeah, I can imagine. Has ms. Davis figured out that you've known
who the daddy is since last spring?
Ric:
What the hell do you want?
Ric:
You're not supposed to be here.
Man:
What if Ms. Davis finds out you knew about those test results?
Ric:
I don't respond well to threats.
Man:
Yeah? I had to leave town because of you. I deserve a little compensation.
If you want your life to continue as you now know it, you'll pay
up.
Ric:
You listen to me, all right? I'm not going to pay you one dime,
do you understand that?
Man:
Take it easy.
Ric:
And if you say anything to anybody, I'll kill you.
Elizabeth:
Ric? Hey.
Ric:
Hi. I didn't see you come in.
Elizabeth:
Are you ok?
Ric:
Yeah, yeah, I think so. You got a minute?
Elizabeth:
Yeah, sure.
Ric:
Over here.
Ric:
Do you think I've changed?
Elizabeth:
In what way?
Ric:
Look, I know that you would be honest with me, but I need for you
to be brutally honest. For instance, do you think that I married
alexis simply because she's the mother of sonny's daughter? Is it
less about making her and kristina a part of my family, or -- or
is it more about getting back at sonny?
Elizabeth:
Oh, ric. I watched you support alexis. Actually, more than support.
You kept her going through kristina's entire illness. You never
left kristina's bedside. You held her hand, you played with her.
I don't think that was about spite or hating your brother.
Ric:
Hating my brother. Hating my brother. I'd love to be able to hate
my brother if he wasn't such a contradiction in terms. I mean, one
minute he's vicious as he's loving, then he's generous as he is
selfish. I mean, one minute I want to kill him, and the next minute
I swear I could see the two of us just getting along.
Elizabeth:
Well, I'm glad you're starting to see your brother as a human and
not as this demon anymore. You and sonny may never get along, but
I think you're starting to figure out that he's not worth living
your life around. Am I right? Which means marrying alexis was about
alexis and what you feel for her.
Ric:
Uh-huh. Thank you.
Elizabeth:
It's not that profound.
Ric:
Yeah. It's generous, though. Elizabeth, I haven't forgotten about
what I did to you.
Elizabeth:
Ric, please, I -- I learned a lot, a lot from marrying you. And
it got me the life I have now. I'm happy. Are you?
Ric:
I'm getting there.
Man:
Hi.
Alexis:
Hi. You must have the wrong apartment.
Man:
Are you Alexis Davis?
Alexis:
Yeah, I am, and you need to call my office.
Man:
My name is Jeff Dulong. I used to be a lab tech down at General
Hospital, and a man just threatened to kill me.
Alexis:
Mr. Murray, I'm dearly sorry, but you still need to call my office.
Man:
That man happened to be your husband.
Ric:
Alexis?
Alexis:
You're very clever, I'll give you that.
Ric:
You ok?
Alexis:
You're an excellent liar -- lawyer. Sorry. Sometimes I get the two
confused. Well done, though. I mean, the banter, the repartee. It
was very good.
Ric:
What happened?
Alexis:
I never thought that I would be able to really identify with your
brother, but I can. I do. Carly lying to him for months over coffee
in the morning, trying to put the family together. I just didn't
really realize that it would be that painful.
Ric:
Tell me what happened.
Alexis:
Did you honestly think that I wouldn't find out that you knew all
along that Sonny was Kristina's father? That you knew about it for
months, that you knew about it almost from the beginning?
Ric:
I can explain.
Alexis:
Of course you can explain. Lawyers can explain. They're trained
to explain. It's just the ones that can explain anything at anyone's
expense are the ones that give the rest of us a bad name. But don't
worry. Despite everything that I believed, everything that I felt,
you used me. You used me to
get to your brother.
