"Can't you accept the fact that you've already lost?"

Skye: Why would I want Laura out of the way, Ric? She was in a mental hospital. She couldn't even remember Luke.

Ric: The case is closed, Skye.

Skye: Luke and Laura are still missing. If I'm behind bars, why hasn't he brought her back yet?

Ric: Well, for one thing, Luke helped you cover up the murder, remember? He knows if he returns that I'm going to have to try him for obstruction of justice.

Skye: Luke didn't even write that letter. He could be in danger right now, something might have happened to him, and you don't even care.

Ric: Skye --

Skye: All you care about is winning. Tell me something, Ric -- how do you sleep at night?

Ric: If you show some --

Alexis: Done worse, slept better.

Ric: Oh, good. Look, can you explain to your client if she shows some level of remorse at the penalty hearing she's likely to get off with a lighter sentence?

Alexis: She won't be in prison long enough for that to matter. I've already started an appeal.

Ric: What is it with you? Can't you accept the fact that you've already lost?

Alexis: What I can't accept is that my client is in prison for something she didn't do.

Ric: All right, all right, fine, fine. You want to pursue something that's already been decided; that's your prerogative.

Alexis: Skye, I'm sorry. I couldn't get the transfer for tomorrow. I will get you released as quickly as I can.

Skye: Tell me something, Alexis -- what's the wait time for an appeal for a convicted killer? Two years? Five?

Alexis: Don't think like that. You are innocent, and I'm still able to help you.

Skye: You know what? If you want to help me, would you please call my family? I'd like to say goodbye.
