"He's got a hickey"

Alexis is on her stomach on the couch in her apartment. Her clothing from the night before is very rumpled. She wakes up to Kristina making some noises with her toys.

[Clinking noises]

Alexis: Hi, honey! Morning! How are you? Hi, sweetie! Oh, my God -- how did I get here?

Woman: That nice Mr. Lansing brought you home last night. You were a little --

Alexis: Tanked?

Woman: Yeah. He left you a note over there.

Alexis: Thank you.

Woman: Ok.

Alexis: Bye, honey. Oh. Ow. Ow, ow, ow, ow. Oh --

Alexis stumbles over to the desk and reads Ric's note.

Ric’s voice: "Good morning, counselor, or as they called you at The Cellar, the Duchess of Dips. The second bail hearing for Skye’s been called for 9:00 am. See you in court."

Alexis: Oh, God. Oh.

Alexis: Hi, sweetie. Ok. Guess what. You have to turn the TV off. Too much TV. Read a book. There you go, ok? You read a nice book -- "Runaway Bunny."

[Changes channel]

Ric: Luke and Laura Spencer are still on the run and to be considered fugitives. However, new evidence has been brought to light that will be shown in the hearing this morning to show that the people have a very, very strong case. We have a witness' statement, as well as forensic evidence that will show --

Alexis: Oh, my God.

Ric: Skye Quartermaine murdered detective Ross Duncan --

Alexis: He's got a hickey.

Ric: And afterwards tried to pin the murder on an innocent woman.

Skye: Excuse me, where in God's name have you been?

Alexis: I'm sorry, I had unforeseen difficulties.

Skye: Yeah, you mentioned that on the phone earlier before cutting me off.

Alexis: My cell phone died. I forgot to charge it last night. Listen, everything is under control. It really is. Luke's letter is inadmissible. Don't worry. We need to talk.

Ric: Well, well, well, look who's here. I didn't expect to see you this morning. One would think you were out drinking and dancing and doing God knows what else last -- oh, that's right, you did.

Alexis: I need a minute of your time.

Ric: I don't have any time. The court's in session.

Alexis: This isn't about court; this is about last night. Nothing happened, right?

Ric: Are you implying that I took advantage of your somewhat inebriated state?

Bailiff: The judge is ready to begin.

Ric: See you inside.

Skye: Remember me?

Alexis: Oh!

Skye: Your client?

Alexis: Why is everyone talking louder than necessary this morning?

Skye: I want you to get me out on bail.

Alexis: You didn't want to be released last night.

Skye: Well, I changed my mind, ok? I can't stand another night in lockup.

Alexis: Fine. I'll handle it.

Ric: I don't really think this is the time or the place to discuss our relationship.

Alexis: We don't have a relationship.

Ric: What are you looking at?

Alexis: Nothing.

Ric: Is something wrong with my collar? Did I -- did I nick myself shaving?

Alexis: I don't know.

Ric: Well, it must be something, the way you're staring.

Alexis: I'm not staring.

Ric: Are you trying to figure out what happened between the two of us last night?

Alexis: Nothing happened between the two us last night. You dropped me off, and then you left.

Ric: You know what? I think you might want to sit down. People are starting to stare -- especially at your shoes.

Skye: What's the matter with you?

Alexis: Nothing. Everything is fine.

Bailiff: All rise.

[Judge pounds gavel]

Judge: And the court is in session. Are you all right, Ms. Davis?

Alexis: Perfectly fine, thank you, your honor.

Ric: Hey, allow me. You're trying to figure out whether you and I made out last night. Is that it?

[Judge pounds gavel]

Judge: Mr. Lansing, I’ll hear from you first.

Ric: Thank you, your honor.

Ric: Skye Quartermaine concocted an elaborate plan to remove Laura Spencer from a Montreal sanitarium, where she was last hospitalized, for the purpose of eliminating her as a rival for Luke Spencer’s affections. Now, Ms. Spencer was able to escape from Ms. Quartermaine, or Ms. Quartermaine released her intentionally, hoping that maybe she would wind up dead. Regardless of her intentions, Luke Spencer now has Laura and now suspects Ms. Quartermaine. According to a letter that was left on Mr. Spencer's son's doorstep, he claims in it -- and I quote -- "I think Skye set us up." Accordingly, the state moves to have Ms. Quartermaine tried for murder of detective Ross Duncan and to be remanded without bail.

Judge: I understand your client has changed her mind and is asking to be released on bail. Present your case, counselor.

Alexis: Thank you, Your Honor. The evide-- the evidence against my client is circumstantial. My client is the victim here, not the perpetrator. The district attorney's case is pure fabrication.

[Judge pounds gavel]

Judge: Ms. Davis?

Alexis: My client is innocent and should be released on bail.

Judge: Well, thank you for your uncharacteristic brevity. Bail is granted, but the court will only release Ms. Quartermaine into the custody of a responsible party.

Alan: Your honor, I'm Dr. Alan Quartermaine. I'm Skye’s adopted father. I'll be happy to assume that responsibility.

Judge: Let the record show that Ms. Quartermaine will be released into the custody of Dr. Alan Quartermaine. Court is adjourned.

[Judge pounds gavel]

Skye: Edward thinks I'm guilty, doesn't he?

Alan: He thinks everybody's guilty because he always is.

Skye: What about you?

Alan: I think you've been set up. I'm going to do everything I can to prove you're innocent.

Alexis: What happened?

Ric: What, do you mean in the court just now?

Alexis: Last night. Did you kiss me?

Ric: Oh, come on now. A gentleman never tells. I'm sure you can remember it. Try.

Flashback to the evening before when Ric took Alexis back to her apartment.

Ric's voice: Oh, I'm sure you can remember it, one way or another, if you try. Ok --

Alexis: We should never have stopped off for that other drink.

Ric: Yeah.

Alexis: It's not a very good suggestion.

Ric: I didn't think so, either. But you need some sleep, Alexis. Come on, have a seat.

Alexis: Party pooper. Party pooper.

Ric: Good night, Alexis.

Alexis: Night-night. Oh -- Oh --

Ric’s voice: Good night, Alexis.

Alexis: Night-night. Ric?

She grabs him and pulls him into a kiss.

Ric: Yeah?

She sits up, awake from her flashback.

Alexis: Oh -- my God.
