"Are you asking me out?"

Ofc. Serino: Do you understand these rights as I have read them to you?

Skye: Yes. Can we please just get this over with?

Alexis: You are violating my client's rights and then I would be forced to sue you again.

Ric: Oh, is that the first thing that you say anytime any of your clients are taken into custody?

Alexis: Why is it that it always applies whenever you're involved? Are you even aware that citizens have rights under the constitution?

Ric: Detective Duncan has been missing for weeks. We found his D.N.A. in Skye’s house.

Alexis: You were searching for signs of Laura Spencer at the time. That evidence is inadmissible. We don't even know that Duncan is dead in those pictures.

Ric: Really? We -- we have a picture of Skye with the corpse.

Alexis: You don’t have a body.

Ric: We don't have a -- what, do you think he's playing dress-up here?

Skye: Alexis, I'd like to talk to you in private.

Ric: Yeah, that might be a good idea. I have to return a few phone calls to the press. I'm sure they're going to want to be front and center for the loss of your next high-profile case.

Alexis: I understand that you are trying to protect Luke, but railroading yourself in the process is not going to help anything.

Skye: Forget Luke. We all know you hate me. So why are you really doing this?

Skye: You have a soft spot for Luke that's never extended to me. You almost let me take the fall for Luis Alcazar.

Alexis: I would never have let you go to prison for something that you didn't do.

Skye: You were completely threatened by my bond with Kristina.

Alexis: I am her mother. You tried to take my place.

Skye: And I was trying to provide her with love and support, and you went to great lengths to cut me out of her life. Basically, you loathe me, and yes, the feeling is mutual. So naturally, I'm a little skeptical about your willingness to defend me.

Alexis: You think I'm trying to set you up; tank your case?

Skye: Well, the thought's crossed my mind, yeah.

Alexis: It hasn't crossed mine, you see, because I have integrity. I know that you have been wrongly accused -- not because I think that you are a good and blameless person, but because I think Ric Lansing is a power-mad egomaniac who would do anything to save his own reputation. He also happens to know that the PCPD has botched the investigation and he is trying to save their collective butts by making you a scapegoat, and I'm not going to let that happen.

Skye: So basically, this is about one-upping Ric Lansing?

Alexis: This is about doing what's right, and I think that you're innocent.

Skye: I am.

Alexis: And I intend to prove it. And if that means I have to annihilate Ric in the process; that's just an added bonus.

Alexis: I want an immediate arraignment.

Ric: Well, Skye’s going to continue to let you represent her, huh?

Alexis: She wants the best.

Ric: And you just want to get me back in court again, don't you? Well, I suppose it's a lot easier than asking me out for a drink. Well, when in doubt, work the legal end, right? There are lot less embarrassing ways to flirt, though.

Alexis: I'm not even going to dignify that with a response. I want the arraignment now.

Ric: I'll set it up.

[Ric sighs]

Alexis: Skye's bail will be posted in an hour. I thought maybe I'd just stick around and wait till it was completed.

Ric: Yeah, well, you're lucky the judge was feeling magnanimous.

Alexis: My argument was more compelling than yours.

[Ric chuckles]

Alexis: Get used to it.

Ric: Look, easy bail does not mean easy acquittal. I wouldn't count your chickens, Ms. Davis, really. I got a strong case against Skye.

Alexis: You have a half-baked theory with little or no evidence.

Ric: Yeah, well, we'll see.

Alexis: Your bail will be posted in an hour.

Skye: I'm not going anywhere. I want to stay in jail where I'm safe.

Skye: Jax, I told Alexis not to call you.

Jax: What's this I hear about you refusing to be released?

Alexis: See if you can talk some sense into her.

Skye: I'm really sorry you had to come all the way down here.

Jax: Skye, I want to help. You going to tell me why you want to stay in custody?

Skye: Well, let's see -- there's a crazy woman stalking me; she set me up for murder. Luke's gone, Lucky’s out of town, so you see, until they catch Laura, jail's the safest place for me.

Alexis: Aw. She went to bed already? I'm sorry. I wanted to get home and tuck her in, but thank you. All right, give her a kiss for me. I -- I will. Thanks, Viola. Bye-bye.

Ric: Listen, before you bring your misplaced antagonism into yet another court battle, what do you say you and I have that drink, huh?

Alexis: Are you asking me out?

Ric: Yes, in the spirit of trying to promote a more harmonious professional relationship.

Alexis: We don't have a relationship.

Ric: You know, your personal bias is starting to impede your ability to defend.

Alexis: My personal bias is perfectly justified and not likely to change because you buy me an alcoholic beverage.

Ric: Prove it.

Alexis: Oh.

Ric: Come on -- one drink.

Alexis: Hmm.

Ric: That is, unless you think that I'm that much of a threat to your professional detachment.

Alexis: Oh, yeah.

Ric: I dare you.
