"You are inappropriate and disgusting, not to mention completely unappealing on every level"

At the police station.

Alexis: Will you stop walking away from me! You can't just take out an A.P.B. on Luke saying that he kidnapped Skye.

Ric: Oh, really? Oh, I most assuredly can. The officer who Luke knocked out said that Skye was taken hostage. You know, you look a little flushed there, counselor. Is that because you get that rush of excitement every time you watch me in action?

Alexis: Oh, please.

Ric: Well, there's no other reason I can think of that you would possibly affiliate yourself with all these clients that are involved in the Spencer case. I mean, let's run a tally here. We got Luke so far. We got Lucky. We got Skye. Who's next? Laura? All for the opportunity to go up against me again?

Alexis: You are inappropriate and disgusting, not to mention completely unappealing on every level.

Ric: Hmm.

Tracy: Whew! Gee, I hate to interrupt.

Ric: What do you want, Tracy?

Tracy: Well, now, is that any way to speak to a taxpaying citizen here to do her civic duty? I heard that Skye might be in trouble. I'd like to help.

Alexis: Skye or Ric?

Ric: Wait, wait, wait. Unless you have been appointed Skye’s attorney in this matter, which I don't think I've been notified of, this particular conversation is not for your eager little ears.

Alexis: We are in the middle of a negotiation.

Ric: Excuse me, excuse me. I'll be back in a minute. We can pick up where we left off, ok?

Alexis: Don't touch me.

Alexis: What happened?

Ofc. Serino: Spencer held Ms. Quartermaine hostage till he got far enough out of town. Then he dumped her by the old garage on route 9. I'm going to fill out an incident report. You'll need to sign it immediately.

Alexis: We both know that's not what happened, so start talking. The kidnapping story is not going to fly. Lose it before Ric uses it against Luke.

Skye: Too late. Luke already called and confessed to the cops.

Alexis: What an idiot! Where were you going?

Skye: I don't know.

Alexis: You better stop lying, because if you keep lying, I'm not going to be a help to either one of you. Where were you going?

Ric: Come on, Alexis. Even you must be smart enough to figure that one out. He was going after Laura. He can't very well have his mistress dragging along with him.

Skye: Well, congratulations, Ric. You've got it all figured out. So since I have nothing else to say, I'm going home. It's been one hell of a night.

Tracy: How about a ride?

Skye: I'd rather crawl over glass. I'll sign your report tomorrow.

Ric: Oh, not so fast, Ms. Quartermaine. You're not going anywhere.

Ric: This shouldn't take too long. I just have a few informal questions I need for you --

Alexis: It shouldn't take any time at all, because you are not required to answer any of these questions, and I'm suggesting that you don't do it.

Skye: It's fine. I have nothing to hide. Like I told you, Luke held me at gunpoint.

Ric: Well, actually, I don't want to know about when Luke took you hostage. I want to go back to the beginning here. You've been quite the victim in all of this, haven't you? I mean, you've been stalked, you've been kidnapped, you've been framed for murder, and all at the hands of Luke’s severely incapacitated wife.

Skye: And?

Ric: When was the last time you saw Laura?

Alexis: Don't answer it. It's a trap.

Skye: I don't know. What? I can't really remember. What about two years ago?

Ric: You sure about that?

Alexis: What's your point, Ric?

Ric: Well, this happens to be the logbook to the Montreal sanitarium where Laura was last hospitalized, and in it it shows that Skye visited Laura three times in the past four months. You care to explain that?

Ric: You notice that she's not denying anything.

Alexis: You know something? This doesn't prove anything. Laura could have signed her in. She could have paid somebody to sign her in.

Ric: Is that what happened?

Skye: No. I did see Laura.

Alexis: What could possess you?

Skye: I care about Luke, ok? I could very well fall in love with the man, and that's the problem. I'd be asking to have my heart stomped on if Laura suddenly got better and came back to Luke. I just -- I wanted to check her condition myself.

Ric: Ok, I'd be more inclined to believe your version of events if you hadn't visited her more than once, but it was three times, Skye. Here's what I think really happened, ok? I think that you did visit Laura for the reasons that you've already admitted. I mean, clearly, she was the only competition you had for Luke. But I also think that once you saw her you saw how utterly alone she really was. And you worked very hard to gain her confidence, right? You were very gentle with her. You brushed her hair. You put on a little bit of lipstick, collected all of that Laura Spencer D.N.A., and then you convinced her to leave.

Skye: Are you saying that I kidnapped Laura? That's insane!

Ric: Really? Is it?

Skye: What the hell would I do with her?

Ric: Well, like I said -- I mean, maybe she wasn't as far gone as you would have had thought that she was. But maybe you wanted to make sure that she would never be sane enough so that she could restake her claim on Luke. But see, something happened that you hadn't planned on. You went on a bender and you ran into Ross Duncan. All right? You picked up Ross, took him home with little or no effort, from what I understand. I mean, Ross was quite the lady's man. Only you and he know what really happened, and -- well, he's not talking, and whatever it was cost him his life. You know what you did, Skye. You know what you did, and you knew that you had killed a man. But not just a man. You killed a cop. And that meant if you were convicted, that's death by lethal injection. But you had a way out, right? You took all that D.N.A. evidence that you had on Laura and you made it look like she was there instead of you and that maybe she framed you for murder instead of the other way around, right?

Skye: Oh, this is outrageous! What are you going to accuse me of next, that I'm stalking myself?

Ric: No, but you tried to make it look like Laura was stalking you.

Skye: Well, what, are you going to deny that Laura’s even out there somewhere right now?

Ric: No, I'm sure she's out there, Ms. Quartermaine. I'm sure she feels very alone. I'm sure she feels very frightened and betrayed. She managed to get away from you, didn’t she? So you had to up the stakes so you staged the whole Laura at that Haunted Star deck, and then you trashed Luke’s club, right? Then you wrote all those messages all over the walls. You made it look like she kidnapped you and that she held you at knifepoint, terrorized you for days --

Skye: Oh--

Alexis: What's the motive for this bizarre, Machiavellian plot?

Ric: Dueling obsessions. Skye's for Luke and Luke’s for Laura.

Ric: You not only tried to make Laura look like she's crazy and running loose, but the kind of plan that you have to shoot first and ask questions later.

Skye: No, I --

Ric: Especially when you think that that person is responsible for killing a fellow officer!

Alexis: I'm not going to listen to another word

Ric: I am not finished, Ms. Davis! You know, I've checked into your past, Skye. You're no angel. I bet you there's at least a dozen people who I can get to testify at just how diabolical and calculating you can really be. Laura was in your way, so your original plan was to make her slip further into madness, but she proved to be the perfect scapegoat when you killed a cop in an alcoholic blackout. I mean, you're nothing if not adaptable, right? So you set Laura up to make her look like some psychotic murderer who's run amok, you throw Luke into the mix, and then you're hoping maybe Laura will wind up dead.

Skye: No, that is crazy!

Ric: Really? Then why don't you explain these, huh?

Skye: Tracy -- that bitch!

Alexis: Where did you get these?

Ric: Skye Quartermaine, I am placing you under arrest for the murder of Detective Ross Duncan.
