"Is there a panic room in my future?"

Alexis and Carly are at GH arguing. Ric is looking on, having just received proof that Sonny IS Kristina's biological father.

Alexis: What I regret most about taking your case is that I think you're a horrible mother, and I hate myself for defending a woman who I think should clearly be outlawed from having children.

Carly: Oh, that's really nice.

Sonny: Who are you to lecture anyone on what it is to be a good mother? Carly's here because she's helping her son fight for his life. The doctor had to drag her away from Michael. Speaking of children, do you know where Kristina is, or do you care?

Alexis: Who the hell do you think you are?

Sonny: How far are you going to push me? Until I push back? Until I see that kid of yours with her father?

Alexis: Don't you ever threaten me with my daughter.

Sonny: I have the power to ruin you. You get in my way again, I'll make sure you lose your kid forever.

Ric: Well, I have the power to arrest you, Sonny. See, threatening innocent citizens and their mothers is a crime. Shall I take him downtown, Alexis? Your call.

Ric: When are you going to realize that you can't go around threatening people; that it's against the law? You were Sonny's attorney, right? I think I can make a very compelling case with that. He doesn't want his criminal activities to be divulged, so he bullies you into silence, and I am a built-in witness.

Alexis: I don't see any reason to press charges against Mr. Corinthos at this time as long as the two of them keep their distance.

Ric: All right, well, you heard the lady. But if I hear you harassing Ms. Davis again, I will take you to jail.

Carly: Oh, Ric, you have it backwards again, as usual. Alexis is the one who should be arrested. She's a liar, she's a thief, and I'm so sick of watching her get away with it. It ends here, Alexis. No more lies. Ric, you resisted the urge to show up at the custody hearing, so maybe you missed the big bombshell. Alexis still has a thing for Sonny. I know that one night really must have been something because you still can't seem to get over it.

Alexis: Ric, you may not know this, but Carly’s at the hospital because her son has just been admitted, so she's obviously upset. And I have obviously chosen the wrong time to speak with her about an issue regarding the custody case. So I’m going to leave now before either one of us say anything else that we might regret.

Ric: I didn't realize that Michael was hurt. I'm sorry.

Carly: Yeah.

Sonny: Yeah, well, Michael was hurt last summer, too, when you traumatized him by kidnapping his mother right in front of his eyes. I know how your twisted mind works, Ric. Don't even think of visiting Michael; playing the loving uncle. My children are off-limits to you. You go anywhere near them, I will snap you like a twig, D.A. or not.

Alexis: Why are you following me? Is there a panic room in my future?

Ric: You know what -- I get kind of tired of people calling me twisted and psycho and that sort of thing. I was pushed to extremes. I was forced to make regrettable decisions. I'm sure you understand that sort of thing. So now here we are, right, trying to build our lives again, so I think that maybe you and I should have some sort of empathy with one another.

Alexis: Why are you following me?

Ric: Ok, fine. Right. It's not important. I'm a little further along in my life than you are. We're not on the same level. But the one thing that I do know is you cannot move forward when you are frozen still, and that is exactly what you are, Alexis. Something's scaring the hell out of you.

Ric: I know why you backed off Sonny at the hospital.

Alexis: Why is it that you care?

Ric: Look, if you want to protect yourself, the best way you can do that is you can help me to put Sonny behind bars once and for all.

Alexis: One more time, try to pay attention -- I am not interested in facilitating your sick need for revenge against your brother.

Ric: Ok, fine. Then you know what I suggest you do? You put yourself in a nice, big, public bubble, you know, become so visible that you don't draw Sonny's anger. Take a few high-profile cases. You could use a win.

Alexis: You know, it's funny that you should mention that because I have just taken on a new client, actually. I think you know her. Eileen Sheridan?

Ric: Why, sure, armed robbery.

Alexis: Police brutality and unlawful use of force. Not only do I intend to get her exonerated, but I do intend to have the PCPD reprimanded, and this should generate all the publicity that you seem to think that I need right now. I would love to stay and chat, but I really have to go. I want to see my daughter. It's always nice to see you.

Ric: Yeah, it's me. Take Feldman off of the Sheridan case. I plan on prosecuting it myself.
