"It Has Everything To Do With Her"

At Courtney's apartment

Alexis: Carly wants you to testify for her in her upcoming custody hearing.

Courtney: And she hired you to represent her?

Alexis: That would be why I'm here.

Courtney: Ok, I don't get it, Alexis. You hate Carly. Why would you agree to take her case? And why on earth would she trust you to do it?

Alexis: I would've died in that fire if it weren't for Carly, so this is my way of repaying the debt.

Courtney: Ok, well, I still don't understand why Carly would choose you.

Alexis: Well, I'm afraid you're going to have to ask her that. In the meantime, i'd like to address your testimony. You've spent a considerable amount of time with Carly and her children. Would you say that she's a good mother?

Courtney: Yeah, absolutely.

Alexis: Would you be willing to testify to the fact that Morgan and Michael should reside with Carly?

Jason: Excuse me. I'm sorry. I need to talk to you.

Courtney: Yeah, I'm -- I'm in the middle of something.

Jason: I know. It's really important.

Courtney: I -- listen, I need to think on whether or not i want to testify. I'll call you when I've made up my mind.

Alexis: That may not be an option, Courtney. You may be subpoenaed. (to Jason) So could you.

Alexis leaves.

Carly's place.

Alexis: I just spoke to Courtney.

Carly: And did she agree to testify?

Alexis: She said that she would think about it.

Carly: This isn't easy for her. She and sonny worked real hard to build a relationship, and she knows that it'll be ruined if she takes my side in court.

Alexis: Do you think she'll turn you down?

Carly: No, she will say yes. I think she knows in her heart that the kids belong with me.

Alexis: Good, because her testimony is pivotal, and so is Jason's. You think you can get him to testify in your favor?

Carly: Can't we just leave Jason out of the custody hearing?

Alexis: No, we can't, because Jason is Sonny's business partner. He also cohabitated with you for several months. He's morgan's godfather. And the bottom line is your children are too young to get to decide where they want to live.

Carly: Ok. Well, then, like I said, you just need to prove that I am the more stable parent.

Alexis: It's not quite that simple.

Carly: It is to me.

Alexis: Look, Jason and Courtney are the two adults closest to this situation. So when it comes to "he said, she said," the court is going to listen to their opinion.

Carly: Are you telling me that Jason and Courtney get to decide who gets Michael and Morgan?

Alexis: I didn't say that, Carly. I said that the court is going to consider input from other sources, but -- but Jason and Courtney will hold a lot of weight.

Carly: Ok. Well, like I said, Courtney will side with me.

Alexis: And what about Jason?

Carly: I don't know. He may -- he may take Sonny's side.

Alexis: Well, you need to get him to change his mind because you may very well lose your children if Jason doesn't testify on your behalf.

Alexis is at the police station to see Nikolas.

Alexis: I'm sorry I'm late. I -- I was non-stop all day. I just checked my messages and found out you're supposed to be arraigned.

Nikolas: It's all right. Emily's working on plan b as we speak.

Alexis: This is exactly why I shouldn't consult, nikolas -- because you deserve an attorney that can you give you their full attention right now.

Nikolas: Look, I know you love me.

Alexis: I do love you. And -- and you know that I would do this if I could.

Nikolas: But there's one person in your life who comes before me, and that's Kristina. This is about her, isn't it?

Alexis: It has everything to do with her.
