"I Knew You Were Indestructible"
Emily
and Nikolas are reuniting on the couch at Wyndemere. Alexis enters
and sees Nik for the first time.
Alexis:
Nikolas?
Emily:
(she and Nikolas get up from the couch) You see him, right?
I'm not just hallucinating.
Alexis:
(hugging Nikolas) I knew you were indestructible. (kisses
him on the cheek) Well done.
Nikolas
is sitting between Alexis and Emily on the couch.
Nikolas: Anyway, I'm -- I'm alive and I'm safe and so are
the two of you and that's all that really matters at this point.
Alexis: I almost had to probate your will. And I thank
you for providing for Kristina.
Nikolas:
Oh, you're welcome.
Alexis:
And my favorite part was when you disinherited Helena.
Nikolas:
That's my pleasure. What? What?
Alexis:
Cameron Lewis died in the fire, and Zander's disappeared.
Nikolas:
What are you -- you mean he wasn't in the basement?
Alexis:
That apparently was Scott Baldwin.
Emily:
If Zander got away, he's probably in Canada by now.
Nikolas:
Yeah. Well, that -- that's kind of -- kind of a lot to take in.
I mean, I -- I thought Zander burned to death because of me.
Alexis:
Whatever happened to Zander is not your fault.
Nikolas:
I'm sorry. I know you cared a lot about him and Cameron as well.
Alexis:
I did, and I should have told him so. But I guess it's too late
for that now.
Nikolas:
I'm sorry.
Alexis:
I would much rather focus on you and how nice it is to see your
face.
Emily:
That makes two of us.
Alexis:
Obviously, Emily is way too nice and too in love with you to tell
you that you smell --
[Nikolas
chuckles]
Alexis:
And that you're very dirty, and I don't want you to get anything
on the furniture because you can't afford to reupholster it. Take
a shower.
Nikolas:
Ok. (to Emily) You don't go anywhere.
Emily:
Not a chance. (they kiss and Nikolas leaves the room) (to
Alexis) I'm almost afraid to let him out of sight.
Alexis:
I can sympathize.
Emily:
Thank you, Alexis, for your -- your kindness and your support.
I know I've been a basket case.
Alexis:
No, Emily. A basket case is someone who gets so caught up in their
own grief and fear that they blurt out things that shouldn't be
said. You aren't even remotely close to being a basket case.
