"What Have I Done?"
Alexis:
Alexis: I never wanted Sonny to know the truth until right
this very minute. Carly, Im so sorry.
[Elevator
creaks]
Alexis:
Sonny is Kristinas father.
Carly:
You lying bitch.
Carly:
We are trapped in this elevator and we are probably going to die
here, and you are using the last few minutes to hurt me with your
vicious lies about Sonny being Kristinas father? What the
hell --
Alexis:
Carly, please, please! Oh, please don't move unless you want the
last cable to break.
Carly:
I knew that you were bitter, but this is pathetic.
Alexis:
I wanted to tell you the truth.
Carly:
I saw the D.N.A. test. Ned is Kristinas father.
Alexis:
Ned changed the D.N.A. test because he was afraid of what would
happen to Kristina. So was I. I was afraid because people die around
Sonny. My -- my sister died because of Sonny, and I didn't want
anything to happen to my daughter!
Carly:
No, you --
Alexis:
I was afraid that he would take her away!
Carly:
No, you weren't! You just thought it was easier to lie through your
damn teeth!
Alexis:
How can you judge me when he's doing everything in his power right
now to take your children away from you just because he's angry?
How can you sit there and say that you don't know how I feel?
Carly:
Ok, Alexis, while you're dumping this confessional on me, why don't
you just be honest with yourself for a minute? You didn't want to
share Kristina with anyone, and that is why you jumped through hoops
to get rid of Ned as soon as he helped you lie to Sonny.
Alexis:
I wanted to protect my daughter from a violent man and now he may
be the only parent that she has, and neither of them are going to
know it. Oh, my God. Oh, my God, what have I done? What have I done?
Alexis:
I don't know if it's ironic symmetry or just a cosmic joke that
I should be spending what could be the last moments of my life with
you.
Carly:
Would you just quit yapping?
Alexis:
I don't think confronting my mortality should be considered yapping.
Carly:
Fine. You sit and confront your mortality, but my boys are not growing
up without their mother.
Alexis:
Oh God, Carly!
[Elevator
creaks]
Alexis:
You're going to get us killed.
Carly:
Yeah, as opposed to what, sitting here and waiting to die? You know,
I am not going to wait until that last cable snaps and we fall.
You know, it may be your idea of a workable solution, but it's certainly
not mine.
Alexis:
Oh, God.
[Elevator
creaks]
Alexis:
What do you see?
Carly:
It seems like we dropped some floors, so I think maybe if we can
pry open the doors, we'll be on a floor instead of a cement wall.
Alexis:
Oh. Carly, Im asking nicely this time, please, don't jump
anymore. If that last cable breaks, we're going to die.
Carly:
Get up off your butt and help me pry open these doors.
Carly:
Ok. I'm down here. It's your turn. Come on.
Alexis:
Oh boy.
Carly:
Come on, Alexis, you have always thought you were better than me.
Now's your chance to prove it.
Alexis:
Never said I was better than you, just smarter and classier. You're
clearly a better athlete, and you have much better survival instincts.
Carly:
Ok.
Alexis:
Kind of like a cockroach.
Carly:
Ok, would you just stop talking? Do this, come on.
Alexis:
Stop pressuring me. What if I fall?
Carly:
You're not going to fall.
Carly:
Ok, ok. Come on, Alexis. Come on, it's ok. You just do this. Do
it for Kristina. Come on.
Alexis:
Oh. Ok, I guess we're going to live.
Carly:
Kind of makes you rethink that whole spilling-your-guts thing, huh?
Alexis:
Carly, you can't tell Sonny. He'll take her from me.
Carly:
Don't worry about that yet. We're a long way from getting out of
here alive.
[Carly
coughs]
Alexis:
Carly, please, please promise me that you're not going to tell Sonny
that he's Kristinas father.
Carly:
Look, I don't owe you a damn thing, Alexis, and I have no reason
to keep your secrets.
Alexis:
Then do it for Kristinas sake.
Carly:
Ok, listen, if you're lucky, I won't make it out of here alive and
it won't matter either way. Just -- just go.
Alexis:
Come on, we got to get out of here!
Carly:
Wait. Is someone there?
Alexis
bangs on a door.
Alexis:
Carly! Carly, are you in there? Carly! Carly, Im going to
get help! Carly, Im going to get help!
She
takes off her shoes and drops them before taking a run for it.
Alexis:
I just came from the 12th floor! There's a woman in there, Carly
Corinthos!
Man:
I --
Alexis:
She's trapped behind a door!
Man:
I'll give them the information. Don't worry about it.
Alexis:
Oh, my God, my nephew, Nikolas Cassadine! He was at the auction!
Man:
I'll tell them, but don't worry about it. It's chaos up there. I'll
get somebody to take you to the hospital.
Alexis:
Oh, my God! Will you please get them out of there?
