"A Prank and a Picnic"
Emily:
I want the picnic to be casual, but romantic.
Alexis:
(As Dobson) Very good. What sort of food does your young
man prefer?
Emily:
Whatever's in front of him. Zander's not a very picky eater.
Alexis:
Then may I suggest something simple yet elegant. Perhaps some French
bread, brie, strawberries, chocolate? And a lovely bottle of wine
with a corkscrew. Men love to open the bottle.
Emily:
You're good at this.
Alexis:
I do my best, miss.
Monica
opens the living room door and pokes her head in.
Monica:
Excuse me. Emily, could I see you a minute?
Emily:
All right, coming. If you could get everything ready, that would
be great, Dobson.
Alexis:
Very good.
Emily:
Ok.
Emily
goes into the living room. Just then Skye walks into the foyer.
Skye:
Dobson.
Alexis
rolls her eyes and sticks out her tongue. She then turns around
to see Skye.
Alexis:
You summoned, madam?
Skye:
I was listening to your ideas about Emily's picnic. I'd like for
you to expand on them for me.
Alexis:
You're having a picnic?
Skye:
Actually, a romantic dinner might be more effective.
Alexis:
Will Mr. Jacks be joining you?
Skye:
No, but Mr. Ashton will.
Alexis
steps out of the kitchen appearing very weary and holding her back
. The front door opens and she immediately straightens as Ned walks
in.
Ned:
Good evening, Dobson.
Alexis:
Good evening, sir.
Ned:
Skye called and invited me for dinner.
Alexis
is clearly disgusted.
Alexis:
Ms. Quartermaine is in the living room, sir.
Ned:
Thank you.
Just
then Skye begins to walk down the stairs holding the baby.
Skye:
Uh -- wrong way, Ned. I'm just about to put Kristina down. Would
you like to join us?
Ned:
Of course. Dobson, give us enough time for "Good night, Moon"
and a lullaby, and then we'll be ready for dinner.
Ned
and Skye go up the stairs as Alexis mockingly mouths Ned's words.
Alexis
walks happily into the living room where the "romantic"
dinner has been set up on a small table.
She
begins to sprinkle more and more pepper onto Skye's salad. She then
unscrews the cap of the pepper dispenser and pours some onto the
salad. She takes off her gloves and tosses the salad up so the pepper
and salt can't be seen.
She
gestures indicating victory.
