Alexis rocks Kristina in the crib as the baby cries.

Alexis: Ok, that's a good girl. Does the rocking help just a little bit? Because I don't know what else to do until Cameron gets back here with the medicine. Ok? (Fusses with the blankets) Let's take this off for a little bit. Oh, god, you're burning up.

(Camera switches to Kelly's)

Cameron is handcuffed.

Officer: Dr. Cameron Lewis, you have the right to remain silent. If you give up this right --

Cameron: Baldwin, you have no grounds for this arrest.

Officer: If you give up this right --

Scott: (Motions for the officer to leave) Read them outside. (To Cameron) A child has been kidnapped, and you know where she is.

Cameron slightly tilts his head and flashes his eyes toward the prescription bag on the table. Zander gets the message and quickly puts his coat on the table covering the bag.

Cameron: Alexis is in a private psychiatric hospital.

Scott: Yeah? Where?

Cameron: Why, so you can barge in, make a scene, and undo the fragile progress she's been making?

Scott: You know, you've perjured yourself in a courtroom so she could away with murder. Now you're whipping up some phony loony bin to cover the fact that she stole her own kid!

Cameron: Alexis is fighting a serious mental illness. I was concerned that the stress of her daughter's kidnapping might cause the Kristina personality to re-emerge.

Scott: (Shakes his head and chuckles) Well, you know, you're going down for accessory to kidnapping, and you can say bye-bye to your medical license. (To the officer behind Cameron) Get him out of here and get him on ice!

The officer walks Cameron out.

Scott: (To Emily) Once he talks, you can tell your family that I'll bring the baby back.

Scott leaves. Zander sits down with Emily. Emily notices the prescription bag poking out from under Zander's jacket. She grabs hold of it and stands up.

Emily: Wait -

Zander grabs the bag from the and she sits down..

Zander: Wait -- don't talk. Please.

Cameron is walked into the PCPD in handcuffs. Scott is close behind.

Cameron: You have no proof that Alexis took the baby out of the Quartermaine nursery because she didn't do it!

Scott: You helped Alexis disappear. Now you're covering for her. That's accessory to kidnapping after the fact.

Cameron: Alexis is in a private psychiatric facility for treatment, thanks in large part to your illegal conspiracy to give Edward Quartermaine custody of the baby.

Scott: Well, give me the name of this place, because for my own edification, I would like to see with my own eyes her in the padded cell. Otherwise, I'm holding you, and when I find Alexis and the baby, I'm going to take great pleasure in prosecuting the both of you for kidnapping.

Emily looks at the prescription bag.

Emily: It's some kind of antibiotic for babies. Wait, Scott's right. Alexis has Kristina, and your dad is helping her. (She grabs Cameron's phone)

Zander: Ok, wait a second. Who are you calling?

Emily: Ned!

Zander: (Takes the phone from her) Wait -- no, don't.

Emily: Wait, Zander, Ned hasn't slept since the baby disappeared, and now we know Alexis has her, and Kristina is sick!

Zander: Ok, Ned's my friend, too, ok?

Emily: Well, then give me the phone!

Zander: If Alexis has Kristina, it is because your grandfather stole the baby from her and Ned.

Emily: Ok. So Alexis decided to steal her back? All right. I might be able to sympathize --

Zander: Ok, look --

Emily: If she wasn't letting Ned suffer.

Zander: Let's calm down. Let's think about this rationally, ok?

Cameron's cell phone rings and Zander answers it hesitantly.

Zander: Hello.

Alexis: Zander?

Zander: Yeah. I have my dad's cell phone because he just got arrested.

Alexis: For what?

Zander: Helping you. Baldwin just took him out of Kelly's in cuffs.

Alexis: Oh, Zander, he was getting medicine for the baby. The baby's sick.

Zander: Yeah, I've got it. Tell me where you are. (He grabs a pen and starts writing) Yeah, hold on. (He stops writing) Wait, is that a cabin that overlooks Stinson Lake? Is there a deer head that's above the fireplace? All right. I know exactly where you are. All right, I'll be there in a minute. (He hangs up)

Emily: Whoa. Alexis kidnapped Ned's baby and now you're going to help her? Are you expecting me to keep quiet about that?

Jax arrives at the PCPD to report a phone call from Sonny. He notices Cameron in cuffs across the room.

After speaking with Taggert Jax looks over at Scott and Cameron.

Scott: Why don't just admit that you're covering for Alexis? Tell me where she and the baby are and maybe I'll let you keep your medical license.

Cameron: You know, it's possible the baby was kidnapped by somebody in the Quartermaine family. Why isn't anybody investigating that? I mean, we've established that you're corrupt, biased, and incompetent, but there ought to be somebody in your office or on this force who's actually capable of doing their job.

Jax walks up to them.

Jax: Can I have a word with Cameron alone?

Scott: No. Get lost.

Jax: Look, if Alexis is stranded somewhere with her child, I want her found.

Scott: Three minutes.

Jax: Thank you.

Jax and Cameron walks into the interrogation room.

Scott: If I find out that you're mixed up in this, I'll charge you with accessory!

(Camera switches to the interrogation room)

Cameron: Ahem. That man has serious childhood issues he's never dealt with.

Jax: Save it, Cameron. I know that Alexis has Kristina. I've been keeping my mouth shut for Alexis' sake, but if you're trying to be the big hero here, it's not working. You've made the situation much worse. Now, do you understand that if Alexis is caught with Kristina she could lose her forever?

Alexis opens the door to Zander and Emily. Kristina is crying.

Alexis: Hi.

Zander: Hi. Guess who came home.

Alexis hugs Emily

Alexis: Emily. It's good to see you, honey. Come on.

Zander and Emily walk in.

Emily: What's wrong with the baby?

Alexis takes the medicine out of the bag and unwraps the container.

Alexis: She's got an ear infection. Hopefully, this is going to help her out. How much trouble is Cameron in?

Alexis brings the medicine to Kristina.

Zander: Well, Baldwin and a cop arrested him as an accessory to kidnapping.

Emily: It's pretty accurate, isn't it? Like he's obviously helping you.

Alexis: How long have you been here, Emily?

Emily: Since the night Kristina disappeared from the nursery.

Alexis: I didn't take her, Emily. I found her. I just wanted to take her here so I could spend some time with her before I have to give her back.

Emily: My whole family is terrified. Ned hasn't slept since the baby disappeared. This is his little baby, too. How could you -- I know you're sick, but this is wrong.

Alexis: Ok, then she's finally asleep. All right, Emily, I'm going to try to explain this to you. I do not want Ned to suffer. But I did not steal this baby. Skye and A.J. took the baby. They took the baby to Brenda's old cottage. I found her. I was returning her to the Quartermaines. I overheard Edward saying that he's going to make sure that I never see my daughter again. I panicked, I was going to leave the country, but Zander's father -- he talked me into not doing it, and he and I both know that the right thing to do at this point is to bring Kristina back until I can get her home with me. But I just wanted to spend a little time with her before I have to do that.

Emily: All right, but you could have called Ned. I mean, he's as mad at grandfather as you are, but he's also out of his mind afraid that someone took little Kristina and --

Alexis: Emily, things have changed since you've been gone. Ned does not trust me all that much, and quite frankly, I don't trust him all that much. I couldn't risk telling him.

Emily: All right, well, so what about Zander's father? I mean, the police are holding him as an accessory to kidnapping.

Alexis: Well, I can't very well let him stay in jail for helping me.

Zander: Ok, how do we fix that?

Alexis: I'm going to have to turn myself in.

Alexis and Zander arrive at the PCPD. Jax is still there.

Jax: Are you all right?

Alexis: Yes. (To Mac) Did you find my daughter?

Mac: Not yet. Where have you been?

Alexis: Dr. Lewis was concerned about the stress that I would face due to the kidnapping, so he checked me into a private psychiatric facility, telling me to trust you people to find my daughter and bring her back safely -- to Ned. Zander came to get me and told me that Cameron had been arrested.

Scott: What's the name of this facility?

Cameron walks out of the interrogation room and stands next to Alexis.

Cameron: Shadybrook. Now that Alexis has come forward, I'm no longer bound by the rules of confidentiality.

Zander: I used my father's cell phone to figure out where Alexis was. It wasn't that hard.

Scott: Where's the baby?

Alexis: I don't know, Scott.

Scott: You know, I bet you were nowhere near this ShadyCreek.

Cameron: Shadybrook.

Scott: Shadybrook -- I don't care what. You know what? You're protecting your girlfriend. You probably got people over there in you pocket. You falsify records, don't you?

Cameron: Have you ever thought about seeking treatment for your paranoia?

Scott: Listen, I got bigger fish to fry across town here, so I can't waste my time anymore. But I know you took your kid, and I advise you to bring her back, because if I catch you and the baby together, I will prosecute you and you'll never, ever see your little baby again.

Scott leaves and Jax walks up behind Alexis.

Jax: I'll call you later. (He leaves)

Alexis: Mac, you have no grounds to arrest Cameron.

Mac: We still have a missing baby, and I think both of you know something about it.

Alexis: Do you want this release to turn into hours of unnecessary paperwork, Mac?

Mac: Sign him out.

Mac walks away and an officer starts some paperwork.

Cameron: Is everything all right?

Alexis: Thanks to Zander. He came through for both of us.

Emily sits alone holding Kristina at the cabin.

Emily: Your life must seem pretty strange so far. You were born into a pretty weird family. On both sides. But there are good things about the Quartermaines. And Alexis. It's obvious how much she loves you. But why wouldn't she? Look at you. You're beautiful. Totally innocent. You have your whole life ahead of you. You know that? People used to say that to me. Mm-hmm. They did. That I had my whole life ahead of me. But if you think about it, it's kind of like a promise for the future, like there are tons of things ahead of you. Yeah, I know. I know. And you can have any one of them. But sometimes your whole life ahead of you can sound really sad, when it's about what might have been or what you might have had if things were different. Like if I were different, I'd have liked being around for you. Less of a second cousin once removed or whatever our official relationship is and more of a sister. That would have been cool, huh? Yeah? But that's not how it happened.

Alexis finishes tucking Kristina into her crib. Zander and Emily sit at the table.

Alexis: She's sleeping like an angel. Temperature's down. The antibiotics are obviously working. You know how your father knew she had an ear infection?

Zander: No.

Alexis: Because she was grabbing her ear and he said you used to do the same thing when you were a baby.

Zander and Emily look at each other.

Alexis: I can't tell you how grateful I am to all of you for helping me out. But it is time to get realistic, and I don't have any good choices, but the best one we have is to get Kristina back to the Quartermaines.

Cameron: No. Not tonight. (Hands Alexis a mug of tea) Tomorrow. (He turns toward Zander and Emily) That is, if you two will let Alexis have another night with her baby.

Zander: I will.

Zander looks over at Emily. She doesn't answer. Alexis sits down at the table in front of her.

Alexis: Emily, please. Just one night.

Emily: The person who counts most in this is Kristina. And I'm sure that if she could she would tell us that wants to be with her mom for as long as possible.

Alexis smiles.
