"I Admit It. I Killed Him"
It's
Jax and Brenda's wedding day and the guests are arriving at the
Port Charles Hotel. Ned walks in the door and is soon approached
by a unusually happy Alexis in a beautiful and sexy gown.
Alexis:
(As
Kristina) Hi. (She touches him and spins him around. We hear
the soft tinkling of chimes) Hey.
She
bends over and smells the rose boutonnière on jacket while
caressing his neck.
Alexis:
I'm really glad to see you. (She kisses him and he's surprised)
Alexis:
I've been waiting for you.
Ned:
Really? Why?
Alexis:
Do
I need a reason?
Ned:
Alexis,
what's going on?
Alexis:
(She strokes the lapels of his jacket) I'm glad that you
didn't bring your blonde friend with you.
Ned:
Is this some kind of joke?
Alexis:
No, I'm serious. For you, I will fight fire with fire. You tell
me what she does, and I will do it better.
As
Ned and Alexis speak, Cameron watches from a distance.
Ned:
You know, I have no idea who you are anymore.
Alexis:
(As Kristina) ok, why don't we go someplace else, and we
can talk about it.
Elton
steps up and speaks above the crowd.
Elton:
Ah. Everybody to the Versailles room, please. The ceremony's about
to begin.
Ned:
Elton, I'll be right there.
Elton:
Oh, no, no, no, Mr. Ashton. I'm sorry. We haven't a moment to spare.
The bride is eagerly awaiting to be escorted down the aisle. Excuse
us, won't you? Come along.
Alexis
gives Ned a pleading look at Ned is lead away by Elton.
As
Ned steps away Cameron begins to cross the room toward Alexis. She
seems disappointed and then turns around to leave herself.
She's
about to pass Cameron when he reaches out and grabs her arm.
He
spins her around and slips is arm around her waist.
Cameron:
Wrong way. You're coming with me, Kristina.
He
leads her out of the room.
Cameron
and "Kristina" arrive on the docks.
Alexis:
(As Kristina) guess what -- you can let go of my arm
now. (She jerks her arm away from him) Thank you.
Cameron:
We have a few things to clear up.
Alexis:
Well,
you know what? We're going to have to do it later because I'm expected
at a wedding.
Cameron:
Jax invited Alexis, not Kristina.
Alexis:
(Toying him) Oh, aren't you the clever one.
Cameron:
Ned didn't recognize the woman coming on to him because it wasn't
Alexis. Alexis hasn't been here all day. In fact, I'm beginning
to think Kristina's taking over.
Alexis:
You know, I would appreciate it very much if you would stop listening
to my private conversations. Excuse me. (She brushes past him)
Cameron:
Well, I'm trying to help you.
Alexis:
Are you? Or did you sort of get a little turned on when you heard
me flirting with Ned and so you brought me here because you thought
maybe you could have a little time with me alone yourself?
Cameron:
It
would be a perfect opportunity for it because Alexis wouldn't remember
a thing when she woke up. Isn't that right, Kristina?
Alexis:
Oop -- you got me, Dr. Feelgood. You were right. It's me.
Cameron:
I'm glad we have a chance to talk. Mind if I ask a few questions?
Alexis:
I'm not going anywhere.
Cameron:
Until Alexis returns.
Alexis:
Alexis
is gone. And she may never come back.
Alexis:
(As
Kristina) you look worried. Why should you care if Alexis never
comes back?
Cameron:
I
miss her.
Alexis:
(Smiling) Did you have a thing for my older sister?
Cameron:
We're friends.
Alexis:
Well, you know, sometimes that's where it starts.
Cameron:
Being awfully candid today, aren't we?
Alexis:
I just figured this was the best way to get the interrogation over.
What do you think?
She
sits down on a bench.
Cameron:
(Sitting
down next to her) Good point. How did you feel about Luis Alcazar?
Alexis:
I thought he was a brutal, heartless, conscienceless killer who
took my life away. How do you think I felt?
Cameron:
He was murdered. Would you call that bad karma?
Alexis:
The karmic pendulum couldn't swing fast enough at that man.
Cameron:
Meaning?
Alexis:
Meaning someone had to set it right.
Cameron:
You sound like you feel he deserved to fall 13 stories to his death.
Alexis:
14.
Cameron:
That if he hadn't been stopped, others would have been hurt.
Alexis:
Yes.
Cameron:
And that whoever stopped him was completely justified.
Alexis:
I was completely justified.
She
snaps her head and looks over to him.
Alexis:
Bingo, Dr. Feelgood.
Alexis:
You're right. I admit it. I killed him.
Alexis:
(As Kristina) I just told you that I killed Alcazar. Why
aren't you shocked?
Cameron:
Because I'm not surprised.
Alexis:
Oh, that's right. You already had it all figured out. So what next?
You going to have me committed or sent to prison?
Cameron:
What would you prefer?
Alexis:
To be given an award for my service to humanity.
Cameron:
Courts don't work that way.
She
seems a little frightened now.
Alexis:
Then if it's all right with you, (stands up) I would like
to take Alexis' baby home and raise my niece to be a strong, confident
young woman.
He
stands up and approaches her from behind.
Cameron:
(He
puts his hand on her arm) There's just one problem - (she
turns around) you're not Kristina.
Alexis:
This
is where you're confused.
Cameron:
I
know you can't understand this right now --
Alexis:
I was the one who met Ric on the dock. I knew that Alexis would
never want anyone to pay for a crime that they didn't commit.
Cameron:
So you realized --
Alexis:
I was the one who stabbed him. I was the one who pushed him
over the balcony. I was the one who killed him.
She
opens up her purse.
Alexis:
In fact, I did it with a knife that kind of looks something like
this.
She
pulls a knife out of her purse and holds it up to Cameron's face.
Alexis:
See?
Cameron
is startled and steps back.
Alexis
takes a step forward.
Cameron
is startled.
Alexis:
The way that I see it, we just have two choices here. Either you
keep the secret or the secret dies here.
