"Is This Some Weird Pick-up Line?"

Faith meets Ned on the docks and tells him that since Sonny and Jason are out of town it's a good time to make a move against them. He tells her he already has.

Zander appears in the darkness of the old speakeasy. He plants some cocaine and then hides when he hears Liz and Ric walk down. He manages to leave without being seen.

Cameron: It's a delicate situation, Baldwin. You can't pressure her right now.

Scott: Oh, I don't believe for a second that she suddenly remembered the real killer. We're taking her in. Let's go.

Alexis: If she jumps, you won't find out, will you?

Scott: What does this have to do with you?

Cameron: Just let Jax get her to safety. He's the only one she trusts right now.

(Cameron switches to Skye and Jax out on the balcony)

Jax: Skye, it's ok. Just take it easy, ok? Let me help you.

Skye: Jax, I'm so sorry. I know that nobody wants to believe me. I -- I remember, though, now. I saw -- I saw her.

Jax: Who?

Skye: The real killer. She has dark hair, but I don't think it was Brenda. I really -- I don't.

Jax: Just take it easy. I believe you.

Skye: You do?

Jax: Yes, I do.

Skye: Will you help me?

Jax: Of course I'll help you. I already told you I would help you. I need you to come over the railing. Ok? Would you please do that? (Holds out his hand) Come on, Skye. You trust me. (She slowly grabs hold of his hand) That's it.

She stumbles and falls into his arms.

Skye: Whoa!

Jax: It's ok, it's ok. I've got you, I've got you. I've got you. It's ok.

He lowers her to the floor and looks up at her .

Jax: There you go. Hey, it's all right. Did you see her face? Do you know who the killer is?

Jax: Tell me, Skye, what did you see?

Skye: I --

Jax: What'd you see?

Skye: I don't know. I -- all I remember is dark hair. I don't know about the rest.

Jax: Concentrate. Try to concentrate.

Skye: (Closes her eyes) Ok, I --

Jax: Ok?

Skye: I saw a woman running away.

Jax: Ok.

She remembers the woman leaving the hotel room.

Skye: And --

Jax: What else did you see?

Skye: I know she had dark hair and -- and she was wearing a dark coat and -- jeans. She was wearing jeans.

Jax: Did you see her face? Do you remember her face?

Skye: (Strains to remember) I don't know if I saw it. I don't remember.

Jax: It's ok, it's ok. This could come back to you any minute, ok? This could come back any moment, so we'll just run with what you gave me, we'll locate this woman, and we'll clear your name, all right?

Skye: Ok.

Jax: Ok. You'll be ok.

Scott walks out onto the balcony with two police officers.

Scott: (To the officers) All right, cuff her.

Jax: Stay away from her.

Ned tells Faith that he had drugs planted at Carly's new club and that Sonny and Carly will be arrested for drug trafficking.

Jax follows Skye into the room from the balcony. Scott follows with the officers.

Scott: The fact that she tried to jump proves she's guilty.

Jax: No, it just proves that you were hounding her, Baldwin.

Taggert: We have to arrest her whether you like it or not, Jax.

Jax: Hey, you know what? Back off. Back off.

Cameron: (Butting in between Scott and Skye) Hold it, hold it. The last thing she needs right now is a fight. And, Scott, if she goes anywhere after a suicide attempt, it should be the hospital for observation.

He turns to Skye.

Cameron: Did you actually intend to kill yourself out there?

Skye: (Shakes her head) No, I just knew that nobody but Jax would believe me. I couldn't think of any other way to get him here before the police dragged me off to prison.

Scott: Well, that's usually where murderers go.

Alexis: (From across the room in front of the balcony door) Do you wake up ranting, Baldwin?

Scott: (Not taking his eyes of Skye) Are you representing her?

Alexis: No.

Scott: Then shut up and get out.

Cameron: Well, that's professional, Baldwin. (Turns to Skye) Go ahead.

Skye: Look, I wasn't sure that I didn't kill alcazar until tonight, ok? I remembered that there was a woman in the room that night. Now, she was wearing a dark coat. She had dark hair. She had jeans on. I --

Scott: Are you actually going to try and pin it on Brenda again?

Jax: Would you let her finish?

Skye: No, no, it wasn't Brenda. I don't think it was. She had dark hair, but I can't remember her face.

Scott: All right, enough of this circus. You're just buying time until you can cook up another suspect. Well, that's not going to happen. Taggert, read her her rights!

Cameron gives up and walks over by Alexis at the balcony door.

Taggert: All right, cuff her.

Jax: It's all right. I'm going to take care of it.

Skye: Jax -

An officer puts handcuffs on her.

Taggert: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can --

Jax: Baldwin, do you really want to arrest the wrong woman again, make an even bigger fool of yourself?

Scott: If I was you, I would let my fingers do the walking and find yourself an attorney for your ex-wife.

Scott walks past Jax as Jax smirks.

Jax: (Glancing at Alexis) Skye's attorney's already here if she'll take the case.

Alexis: (Walking up to him) Jax, I -- I can't do that.

Skye: Alexis -- would you, please?

Alexis pauses, unsure.

Jax: Come on, Alexis, you're the best there is. You defended Brenda. Will you do the same for Skye?

Alexis: I'll meet you at the station. I want to check on my daughter first.

Jax: Ok. Thank you.

Scott: (To Taggert and the officers) Why are you guys standing around like seagulls? Get her out of here.

Skye: (Whimpering to the policeman leading her out) Will you please get my purse?

Scott: Let's go.

Everyone goes leaving Cameron and Alexis alone. Alexis walk out onto the balcony.

She pears out into the night looking confused and nervous. Cameron follows her out onto the balcony.

Cameron: Don't you think it's time you told me what's really going on?

Ned and Faith watch Mac and some police officers arrive at Kelly's as they sit at a table.

Ned: Looks like they took Zander's tip seriously.

Faith: I'm impressed. You're very effective.

Ned: Don't sound so surprised.

Faith: I was just realizing what a good ally you make, what a bad enemy.

Ned: Remember which one you want to be. Kristina would hate what I'm doing. She always focused on the positive in everybody -- even me.

Faith: Why didn't you pick up on her positive thing?

Ned: Because I'm a Quartermaine and I was born cynical. Maybe if she'd lived long enough, she might be able to change me, but she didn't. She's gone. And now Sonny is going to pay for taking her away, and he's going to keep paying over and over until there's nothing left.

Cameron: You ok?

Alexis: (Looking out over the balcony) A man was stabbed and pushed over this railing to his death. I'm the one that found him, remember?

She backs away and walks back into the hotel room. He follows.

Cameron: Since you find the images so upsetting, I find it hard to believe that you'd take this case on.

Alexis: Jax is a friend of mine. He asked me to do it. I agreed.

Cameron: It's that simple? This is, what, the fourth defendant you've taken on in this case?

Alexis: I became an attorney because I believe that anyone accused of a crime deserves a defense, especially someone accused of killing Luis Alcazar. A horrible man, a killer, was murdered, and I don't think that anyone should have to pay for that.

Cameron: Do you think you can get Skye acquitted?

Alexis: She said she saw a woman. She didn't actually see the murder. I believe that I can build a case of reasonable doubt.

Cameron: What if Baldwin stumbled on the right suspect?

Alexis: Baldwin is a publicity whore. He doesn't care who killed Alcazar. He just cares about his record.

She heads for the door.

Cameron: Alexis (she stops walking) -- you still haven't said if you think Skye killed Alcazar.

Alexis: (She turns and looks at him) No, I haven't.

Alexis leaves.

Mac and some officers arrive at the speakeasy with a search warrant. Liz and Ric happen to be there. Ric plays lawyer with Mac and tells Liz to call up Sonny and tell him what' s happening.

Ned meets Zander on the docks.

Ned: Nice work, Zander.

Ned hands him an envelope of money and Zander looks inside.

Zander: There's too much here.

Ned: Extra incentive never hurts. You're proving yourself every day.

Zander: Thanks.

Ned: I'm glad I took another chance on you. I'll be in touch.

Ned walks away. Zander reaches into his pocket and pulls out a bag of cocaine that he didn't stash at the club. He tears open a corner and dips his finger in. He looks at the coke on his finger but then wipes it on his jeans and throws the bag into the water.

Scotty walks into the interrogation room at the PCPD where Jax and Skye are already sitting.

Scott: (Waves his arm at Jax) You need to get out of here, go back to your fiancée, because Skye and I need to discuss the charges against her.

Jax: I don't think so.

Scott: Look, I'm running the show here. (Points to the door) Otherwise I'll throw you back in your old cell. Ok? (Leans on the desk in front of Skye) Now, do you want to confess now, or you want to wait till open court? But if you sing now, I might make a deal with you --

Jax: You can't talk to Skye without her attorney present, so why don't you just run along.

The door opens and Alexis walks in.

Scott: I can talk to her any way I want. I mean, she doesn't have to answer, but if she was smart --

Alexis: My client has nothing else to say.

Scott: She would talk to me. What?

Alexis: (Puts her briefcase on the desk) I said my client has nothing else to say. (Touches Scott's arm) And you, my friend, are leaving.

Scott: (Gestures to Skye) Come on, come on. We both know she's the killer. Look at her. Look at her. Looks like a killer.

Scott leave and Skye sinks her head into her hands.

Jax: I'll leave you two to get to work. I'll be right outside.

Skye: Jax, thanks again. Thank you.

Jax leaves and Alexis walks around the table in front of Skye.

Alexis: All right, Skye, two things before we start. (Pulls papers out of her briefcase) First, I hope that you can get past the very tough cross-examination that I put you through. It had to be done. Second, I want you to remember this is not an attorney-client conference room, that this is an interrogation room, and sometimes the opposition will be sitting at this table, but all the time they will be right outside that mirror. (She points over her shoulder at the 2-way mirror) Behind the mirror there, they're listening to everything that goes on in here. Are you ok with that?

Skye sighs and nods her head.

Alexis: (Pulls up a chair) All right. I want you to concentrate, and I want you to tell me everything that you remember about the killer.

Cameron observes through the 2-way mirror.

Skye's voice: I told them this already. I saw a woman -- dark hair, dark coat, jeans -- running away.

Alexis: I want you to think about the details. Think about her hands. Was she wearing jewelry?

Skye strains to remember but can only recall the woman leaving.

Skye: I -- oh, Alexis, I don't know. It was so quick. I was drunk.

Alexis: All right, all right. What about images? Think -- think about images.

Skye: I --

Alexis: Is it possible you just saw her from behind?

Skye: She was running away, yes. I -- I don't know. There was something else.

Alexis: Something about her or something else?

Skye: Something about her. Oh, God, there's something more. I just -- I know there is. I -- I can't make myself see it.

Alexis: All right, let's just start with small sections and we'll just build from there.

Skye looks up at Alexis. A frightening look crosses her face indicating she recognizes something familiar.

Skye continues to look at Alexis with interest.

Alexis patiently waits for Skye to speak. She taps her pen on the desk.

Alexis: A color? Anything?

She pretends to try to remember.

Skye: I -- oh, it's gone. I'm sorry.

Alexis: It's ok. It's ok. We can work on it tomorrow.

Scott walks in.

Scott: All right, girls, tea party's over. (Slams the arrest warrant on the desk in front of Alexis) Time for you to be processed.

Alexis look at the warrant and smirks.

Alexis: This arrest warrant is on the razor's edge of fraud. The voice match hasn't even been confirmed by a professional.

Scott: Confirmation is pending.

Alexis: You have no grounds for an arrest. But if you want to push your luck, we can take it back to a judge and you can explain your evidence to both of us.

Scott: I haven't got time to wait. Your client's guilty. You're free to go. Get out there, sip a few martinis, because soon you're going to be in the big dollhouse.

Scott leaves. Jax grabs the warrant as Alexis and Skye stand up.

Skye: Alexis, thank you so much for doing this.

Alexis: I'm happy to help.

Jax puts his arm around Skye and leads her out. He turns back to Alexis and mouths, "Thank you," to her.

They leave and Alexis looks nervously and pensively at the desk. She takes a breath and then lifts her head and starts to pack up her briefcase.

Cameron walks in.

Alexis: What are you doing here?

Cameron: Baldwin wanted my opinion as to Skye's fitness to stand trial.

Alexis: And?

Cameron: I had a tough time evaluating her. Couldn't keep my eyes off you.

Alexis: Is this some weird pickup line?

Cameron: I'm not sure.

Alexis: Ok, well, your timing is really off. Anything else?

Cameron: Night, Alexis.

Alexis: Good night.

She picks up her briefcase and walks out.
