"Alexis Doesn't Live Here Anymore"

Cameron: Alexis?

Alexis: (Unaware of Cameron) Your mommy will always be here for you. Always. I won't let anything happen to you.

Cameron: Alexis, are you all right?

Alexis: You can always depend on your mommy, always.

Cameron: Alexis.

Alexis: (Turns her head toward Cameron suddenly) What? What?

Cameron: Where were you just now?

Alexis: (Sitting up in a panic) What? Is Kristina all right?

She realizes she's holding Kristina. She signs and relaxes.

Alexis: (With an uncomfortable smile) I'm at the hospital.

Cameron: Where did you think you were?

She looks at Kristina and smiles.

Alexis: I -- I don't remember coming here.

She smiles uncomfortably and looks around.

Ric catches the gunman from the shooting just outside Kelly's. Frantic patrons rush out of Kelly's as Sonny and Carly arrive from the club. Sonny tells everyone that some kids were shooting off firecrackers. When the patrons leave Sonny grills the gunman. It turns out he was shooting blanks. The gunman said that he was hired to scare them and that nobody was supposed to be hurt.

Alexis: Will you stop looking at me like that?

A nurse walks up to Alexis.

Nurse: Hi, sweetie. (Holds out her hands to take Kristina)

Alexis: Oh -- you have to take her?

Nurse: Yes.

Alexis: Ok. Thank you.

Alexis hands her to the nurse.

Nurse: There we go, sweetie.

Alexis: See you in a minute.

Nurse: Ok. (Walks away with the baby)

Alexis: I'll see you in a minute.

Cameron: How was I looking at you, Alexis? (Sits down next to her)

Alexis: Like I'm crazy and you're my therapist, which I am not and you are not. You are not on the clock.

Cameron: Seeing a therapist might not be a bad idea.

[Alexis sighs]

Alexis: I need sleep, all right? You're just upset because I didn't focus on you the minute that you called my name.

Cameron: Where were you?

Alexis: I'm tired, all right? I zoned out, obviously.

Cameron: Alexis, you can't even remember how you got here.

Alexis: It's called stress. New mothers get it, attorneys get it when they're in the middle of murder cases -- capital murder cases -- particularly parents who have sick children. You put all those three things together, you could have gaps. Things may run together. You may end up sleeping on your feet.

Cameron: You didn't even hear me.

Alexis: I didn't hop to the minute that you called my name. I apologize. Next time you say "Alexis," I will make sure I stand up and salute.

Cameron: Do you frequently refer to yourself in the third person?

Alexis: (Facetiously) Why would Alexis Davis do that?

Cameron: Do you even remember speaking to your baby?

Alexis: I speak to my baby all the time. Do I remember every word that I say to her? Of course not. I talk to her all the time. Parents do that. It actually helps them learn the language. Didn't they teach you that in med school?

Cameron: I guess I was absent that day.

Alexis: Cameron, if you want to help somebody, go back to the shelter. I'm fine, unless sleep deprivation is a mental illness.

Cameron: Actually, it can trigger psychosis.

Alexis: Doesn't Luke need you?

She stands up, sighs and walks away. As Cameron watches her go a doctor calls out to him.

Doctor: Are you ready for the staff meeting?

Cameron: That's today?

Doctor: In about 10 minutes. I hear Alan Quartermaine -

Cameron: Tell him I won't be there.

Alexis arrives at the cemetery. She opens the gate while, unbeknownst to her, Cameron follows close behind and watches her. She kneels down in front of a headstone and carefully wipes the snow away with her hand.

Alexis: Please don't be upset with me. I really am doing the best that I can. It just gets so hard sometimes. I won't let you down, I promise. I promise.

She slowly gets up off the ground. Cameron moves away from the gate and hides from her. She walks out of the gate and continues on. Cameron steps from the trees and walks into the graveyard.

He looks at the headstone before which Alexis knelt. It reads "Kristina Cassadine, Beloved Sister, 1973 - 2002"

Sonny questions the gunman a little more and then lets him go. He tells Ric to follow him.

Ned arrives at Faith's hotel room very angry.

Ned: What the hell are you thinking?

Faith: What's wrong with you?

Ned: Sending a shooter over to Kelly's in the middle of the day?

Faith: (Pouring herself a drink) I have no idea what you're --

Ned: Stop right there! I just heard somebody tried to kill Sonny a little while ago in the cellar at Kelly's.

Faith: That is so unprofessional.

Ned: So what do you want? You want Sonny to retaliate? Is that it? Do you have any idea how much damage Jason could do?

Faith: After what happened to my dearly departed husband, I have some idea, yes.

Ned: We can't afford to take too many risks. Sonny will shut us down before we even get started. Are you listening to me?

Faith: Do you really think I would set up a hit on Sonny without clearing it with you first?

Ned: It wouldn't be the first time you went behind my back.

Faith: Are we going to fight about this again?

Ned: (He sighs) You tell me.

Faith: How many times do I have to apologize about Zander?

Ned: I'll let you know.

Faith: I understand, Ned. I do. If I slip up again, our partnership is over.

Ned: That's right.

Faith: And that would be such a shame, you know, because we have so much work left to do.

She starts to kiss his neck.

Alexis arrives at her apartment, unlocks the door and walks in.

Cameron appears around the corner in the hall and it just about to knock when he hears the bell of the elevator and the elevator door opening. He goes back down the hallway and hides around the corner. A delivery man walks up to Alexis' door with several boxes tied together with a ribbon. He knocks on the door and Alexis answers it.

Alexis: Wow. That didn't take long at all.

Man: You lucked out.

Alexis takes the boxes.

Alexis: (Handing him a tip) Thank you very much.

Man: Thank you.

Alexis: Thank you.

She closes the door. Cameron watches the delivery man leave. He walks up to Alexis's door and looks at it.

The Wyndham's boxes are strewn about the floor empty. We see a women's leg. She's wearing jeans. The camera begins to move up her body. She's sitting on Alexis' couch holding a mirror in front of her face. The camera moves to the back of the couch where we see the red-headed woman from behind. Cameron approaches the door.

Cameron: (Knocking at the door) Alexis? Answer the door, Alexis. (He knocks again) Alexis?

We see a close-up of the red-haired women's mouth. She is using a red lip pencil. We hear Cameron knocking and yelling through the door.

Cameron: Alexis? I know you're in there.

The camera continues to move back revealing the face of the woman. It's Alexis.

Alexis: (To herself in the mirror) Alexis doesn't live here anymore.

There's a knock at Faith's door. Faith goes into the bathroom and Ned answers it in his robe. It's Sonny.

Sonny: Nice to see you, Ned.

Camera switches to Faith in the bathroom on the phone.

Faith: It's working perfectly.

Edward: It costs to betray me. Ned should know that by now.

Faith: Well, he's about to pay up.

Edward: Let that be a lesson to you, as well, my dear.
