"This is My First Pregnancy"
Alexis:
Will you excuse me?
Carly:
No. Not until you tell me what it is you think Sonny could possibly
want from you.
Alexis:
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. You're right. I'm perfectly insignificant
--
Carly:
Ok, you know what? You need to listen to me for one minute. I really
hope that you enjoyed your one night with Sonny and that you've
got a photographic memory because it is the only way you will ever
relive that again.
Alexis:
Let go of my arm, Carly.
Carly:
Hmm? What?
Alexis:
Don't do something that you're going to regret. Let go of my arm.
Carly:
Oh, oh, oh -- is that a threat?
Alexis:
Will you please let go of my arm?
Kristina:
Oh, my god -- Alexis? Alexis? What's going on?
Ned:
You ok?
Krtina:
You ok?
Sonny:
Hey.
Jax:
What's going on?
Alexis:
I'm fine.
Sonny:
What happened?
Alexis:
I'm fine.
Kristina:
You ok? You all right?
Alexis:
I'm fine.
Kristina:
What did you do to my sister?
Carly:
I didn't do anything.
Sonny:
Ok, you know what? We should probably get her up.
Kristina:
Look, I -- I've got her. Come on.
Ned:
Take a seat here. Alexis --
Alexis:
I'm all right.
Jax:
You ok?
Alexis:
Yes, I'm fine.
Sonny:
What -- what happened?
Alexis:
I slipped. I stumbled. It was my fault. Look, it was mortifying,
not fatal, guys. Just go into the party, ok?
Jax:
Ok. Well, in that case, allow me to take the guest of honor into
her party.
Carly:
Oh, thanks, Jax, but I already have an escort.
Sonny:
You know what? It's your party and people are waiting.
Jax:
Yeah. Come on.
Carly:
What about you?
Sonny:
I'll be there.
Jax:
Come on.
Carly:
All right.
Sonny:
You sure you're not hurt?
Alexis:
Just my pride.
Sonny:
Well, don't just blow this off because it's not the first time you've
been unsteady this week, right?
Alexis:
I probably still have the flu. I shouldn't have come. I'm going
to go home, get some rest, and I'll be as good as new tomorrow.
Ned:
Don't worry, Sonny. Go back inside. We'll take good care of her.
Sonny:
All right. I'll check in with you later.
Alexis:
Ok.
Alexis:
I need to see a doctor.
Kristina:
Why didn't you say so?
Alexis:
I didn't want to make a scene. Could you give me a lift there?
Ned:
Yeah.
Kristina:
Yeah.
Ned:
I'll get the car.
Alexis:
Ok.
Kristina:
Come on.
Alexis:
It's all right.
Kristina:
Alexis --
Alexis:
I'm ok.
Kristina:
So what happened back there? How exactly did you fall?
Alexis:
It was a clumsy moment.
Kristina:
Oh, right. So all of a sudden you're clumsy when Carly happens to
be standing right there?
Alexis:
She didn't push me, if that's what you're implying.
Kristina:
Was Carly the reason that you fell?
Alexis:
Kristina --
Kristina:
What?
Alexis:
Stop interrogating me. I know you're concerned. I don't want to
bite your head off. I'm just tense, all right? I just don't know
when the doctor's going to get here.
Ned:
He's here.
Dr.
Caldwell: I understand you took a fall.
Alexis:
Yes, I did. Um --
Ned:
Why don't we leave Alexis alone with the doctor.
Kristina:
All right. Unless you want me to stay?
Alexis:
No. Thank you. This is better, yeah.
Kristina:
Ok.
Dr.
Caldwell: I'll need to know the circumstances of the fall and
where you're experiencing any discomfort. From there we can decided
whether an x-ray is appropriate.
Alexis:
I can't be x-rayed.
Dr.
Caldwell: Is there any particular reason?
Alexis:
I just found out that I'm pregnant. I came in here because I want
to make sure that I didn't hurt the baby.
Dr.
Caldwell: You should feel a slight pressure. Is there any pain?
Alexis:
No.
Dr.
Caldwell: Do you have any other children?
Alexis:
This is my first pregnancy.
Dr.
Caldwell: So it's all new and a little nerve-racking.
Alexis:
You could say that.
Dr.
Caldwell: Ok. You can sit up now.
Alexis:
Is the baby ok?
Kristina:
Haven't they been in there a long time?
Ned:
Not really.
Kristina:
I'm just afraid that Alexis really hurt herself.
Dr.
Caldwell: As far as I can ascertain, your baby's going to be
fine. However, i would strongly suggest that you see your ob-gyn
as soon as possible.
Alexis:
I've already made an appointment. My sister and my friend -- I'm
-- well, i'd like to keep this to myself, if you don't mind.
Dr.
Caldwell: Of course.
Alexis:
I'm fine. I'm fine.
Kristina:
You have had a few stressful hours, so this will help you take the
edge off.
Alexis:
I don't want any, thanks.
Kristina:
Stop it. Just drink it.
Alexis:
Will you do me a favor and take my well-meaning sister somewhere?
Kristina:
Don't even think about it. We're staying here.
Alexis:
How am I going to get any rest?
Ned:
She has a point, actually.
Alexis:
I promise I'm not going to run laps. I'm not even going to work.
I'm just exhausted and i would just -- I just want some peace.
Kristina:
All right, I -- I mean, I guess that I could go to the gatehouse
if -- you know, if you want.
Alexis:
With my blessings.
Kristina:
All right, I'll go get my things.
Alexis:
Thank you.
Ned:
Listen, why don't you have a sip of wine, help you relax.
Alexis:
I would love some music. Would you do me a favor and just put something
on?
Ned:
Sure.
Alexis:
Thanks.
[Light
jazz plays]
Ned:
How's that?
Alexis:
I'm relaxed. I drank the whole thing.
Alexis
is sitting on the floor, talking to her belly.
Alexis:
What were you thinking? We can do this, and we can do it on our
own.
