"No Promises and No Regrets"
Sonny:
Alexis?
Alexis:
Hi.
Sonny:
Hi. You all right?
Alexis:
Fine. I'm great, yeah.
Sonny:
No, I mean after last night. You almost fainted in the hall.
Alexis:
Oh, I didn't faint. I was feeling a little lightheaded. I have --
fighting the flu, I think, yeah.
Sonny:
So, where's your breakfast?
Alexis:
The service is not as good as it used to be.
Sonny:
They haven't brought you any coffee.
Alexis:
I'm sure it will be here momentarily. So, what brings you here?
Do you need an attorney? Is Taggert on the rampage?
Sonny:
Not that I know of.
Alexis:
Oh. Sit down, have a seat. Anyway --
maxie:
Here you go.
Alexis:
I ordered the peppermint tea and the dry toast.
Maxie:
Um, table four is corned beef hash, two eggs over easy. Enjoy.
Sonny:
You look -- it looks like you're going to be sick. Hey. I'm taking
you to my doctor.
Alexis:
I don't need a doctor.
Waitress:
Sorry.
Alexis:
No problem.
Sonny:
When's the last time you saw a doctor?
Alexis:
I'm fine. I told you, I just have a flu. I'm fighting it off or
something. I just need something in my stomach.
Sonny:
All right, because you can see my doctor --
Alexis:
What are you doing here anyway? You didn't tell me.
Sonny:
Carly's craving apple turnovers.
Alexis:
Oh. It's not in your repertoire, huh?
Sonny:
Well, she -- you know, she -- I took her to her place. She doesn't
like to eat first thing, and she likes the pastry here.
Alexis:
Hmm, yeah. Things are going well for you, I --
Sonny:
Actually better than I thought.
Alexis:
I'm glad.
Sonny:
Michael -- he wants to throw my birthday party, you know?
Alexis:
Yeah.
Sonny:
Yeah. Today, right away. It's like --
Alexis:
That's nice.
Sonny:
I figured it's the least I could do, you know.
Alexis:
Yeah.
Sonny:
Let him have his party after waiting this long.
Alexis:
Yeah.
Alexis:
We're friends. Above all else.
Sonny:
That's right.
Alexis:
No promises and no regrets.
Sonny:
Just -- there's just a couple things I want to clear up.
Waitress:
Here you go.
Alexis:
Thanks a lot.
Sonny:
I don't -- I don't like to leave things unfinished, that's all.
Alexis:
We're friends. How about we call that finished, at least for now?
Sonny:
Sure, if you're ok with that.
Alexis:
I'm ok with that.
Sonny:
Right.
Alexis:
You know what? Go get Carly her apple turnover, and Michael is probably
waiting for you for the party, and we all know what that means to
him.
Sonny:
Michael needs a father. I don't want to let him down.
Alexis:
I think you need Michael as much as he needs you.
Sonny:
Probably more. But you're going to see a doctor, right?
Alexis:
Will you stop with the doctor already, please? I'm going to just
eat this and then I've got a lot of work to do.
Sonny:
All right. I'll check in with you later.
Alexis:
Hey.
Sonny:
Yeah?
Alexis:
Happy belated birthday.
Sonny:
Thanks.
Alexis:
Hi.
Felicia:
Hi.
Alexis:
Want to come over here and sit down?
[Felicia
sighs]
felicia:
Hmm. Motherhood is completely overrated, in case you were wondering.
Alexis:
Can I buy you something to eat?
Felicia:
What do I do?
Alexis:
I have no idea.
Felicia:
Do I run out the door? Do I chase her? Do I tackle her down to the
ground? Do I punish her for bad behavior? Do I lock her in her room
for 10 years?
Alexis:
She certainly knows how to make a dramatic exit.
Felicia:
What if this is my fault?
Alexis:
It can't be.
Felicia:
Oh, I've just made so many mistakes.
Alexis:
We all make mistakes.
Felicia:
But what if she ends up paying for mine? She has no idea how this
world really works. She just blew off a job in there. She has this
fantasy that she's going to work with lucky this summer.
Alexis:
I sense a little crush.
Felicia:
Monumental crush. She chases him all over town.
Alexis:
Well, the good news is it's lucky. He's not going to hurt her.
Felicia:
No. Not on purpose. But she'll hurt herself. There's just no way
around it. And then what? What if she starts taking drugs? What
if she ends up all wild and ends up pregnant?
Alexis:
I have a hearing that I'm late for.
Felicia:
Are you all right?
Alexis:
I'm fine. Excuse me.
