"I Have a Bug or Something"

Alexis: No. I'm -- absolutely not. I'm just fine. I have a flu or something and I'm -- I'm perfectly fine, honestly, so --

Sonny: All right, well, if you need anything --

Alexis: I don't need anything. You know, Kristina's in there, she'll be happy to hover. Sorry to -- you guys have a great --

Sonny: Are you sure?

Alexis: Yes.

Sonny: All right.

Alexis: Thanks.

Sonny: She didn't look good. I think she's sick. I don't know.

Carly: She said she's fine. Can't you just take her word?

Sonny: Yeah, yeah. I guess I'm going to have to. All right, I'm going to go -- I'm going to go to the market.

Alexis: Ok.

Alexis: Let us breathe.

Kristina: Hi.

Alexis: Hi.

Kristina: Oh, my god, you look like hell.

Kristina: What in the world is wrong with you?

Alexis: Nothing, I -- I'm just tired.

Kristina: No, no, no, no, no, no. It's something more than that.

Alexis: You're overreacting.

Kristina: No, I'm not, something is definitely off with you.

Alexis: Can't I just have a bad day?

Kristina: Of course you can, you're allowed, if that's what it is. I mean, if you're not in denial or trying to brazen your way through something, which is exactly what I think you're doing right now.

Alexis: It is mind-boggling to think how I got to be this age and function in the world without your keen insights. I love you, but --

Kristina: Alexis --

Alexis: You have to quit treating me --

Kristina: Alexis --

Alexis: You do have to quit treating me like a psychological basket case whose every emotion and facial expression gets analyzed ad nauseam.

Kristina: I'm not talking about your emotions. I'm saying that something is physically wrong with you.

Alexis: Why do you keep insisting on ignoring me when I'm telling you that i'm fine?

Kristina: Because you are a notorious nonacknowledger. Now come here, let me see. Hmm. Normal.

Alexis: See?

Kristina: Well, no, this doesn't necessarily mean that you're fine. You could be one of those people that still doesn't come down with a fever when you're --

Alexis: Kristina --

Kristina: Coming down with a bug. Now, you have been coming down with something ever since Carly's funeral. Remember? You got dizzy at the church. You almost fainted.

Alexis: That was shock. One doesn't expect the assumed dead person to show up at their own funeral.

Kristina: And I would agree with you if that had been the end of it, but it's a day later and you're still exhausted. Now, I'm not trying to be emotionally intrusive, but I do see real physical symptoms here. Alexis, your body is trying to tell you something and you're not listening. Somebody has to.

Alexis: You know what? This is a really good idea to get me off my feet. I feel much, much better already.

Kristina: So you're finally admitting that something was wrong?

Alexis: You know what? You're right. I have a bug or something. I'm sure of it. So Im just going to nestle in here, and you don't have to stay here anymore.

Kristina: No, no, I want to take care of my big sister. You want me to rub your back?

Alexis: No, that's ok.

Kristina: Ok, you want me to make you some soup?

Alexis: Yeah. That's a great idea.

Kristina: Ok.

Alexis: That sounds good -- chicken soup with lots of fresh vegetables.

Kristina: Good.

Alexis: Do you mind?

Kristina: No, no, no, not at all. I would be happy to. But I expect you to be right there when I get back.

Alexis: Ok, I'll be here.

Alexis: All right, do it again. Ok, 28 -- 29, 30, 31, 37, 38, 39. Now, see, that can't be right. You miscalculated, Alexis. Do it again, do it again. Ok, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 -- 40. Oh, god. Oh, god. God, this can't be happening. Oh, my god.
