4, 2002 Transcript Sonny: Yeah, if I'm not out of here in 30 minutes, go ahead and make the move on A.J. Alexis: Did you see my client at the boat shed? Skye: No. Alexis: Did you hear my client at the boat shed? Skye: No. Alexis: Did you see anyone at the boat shed that you know to be an employee of my client? Skye: No. Alexis: Did you see anyone at all at the boat shed, Ms. Chandler? Skye: No. Alexis: You have no grounds to hold my client. I assume he's free to leave? Dara: Correct. Skye: No, you can't just let him walk out. Dara: Ms. Quartermaine, I don't have anything to hold him on. Skye: No! No, you can't. You can't let him walk away! You've got to lock this man up! He's going to kill my brother! Jax: Hey. Hey, hey, hey. Skye: You can't let him go! Who the Hell do you -- Jax: Calm down. Skye: You know what this man does! You know what will happen to my brother! Taggert: Ms. Quartermaine, this won't solve anything. Jax: Skye, Skye, look at me. It's over, ok? It's over. Skye: A.J. didn't take your sister away. She wanted to get away from you. This man came to me and he told me that he wouldn't do anything to A.J. if I helped him get his sister back immediately. You know, that's a threat. I mean, what, you people have to wait until it's carried out before you do anything? Taggert: Lady, lady, I understand how you feel, believe me. But apparently, we have no grounds. Skye: No. No, no, you can't let him go! He's going to kill my brother! Taggert: You have no proof. Skye: He -- he held A.J. in a meat locker. He told you that himself. Taggert: We can't hold a man on hearsay. Jax: Skye, listen to me. It's over, ok? It's over. Skye: You -- you talk the talk about Sonny being the worst menace in the whole world, and when I finally get a chance to put him away, you make me let him go so that he can go harm the only person in this whole world who has ever come through for me. You know what? Maybe none of you in this room really cares whether A.J. lives or dies, but I do, all right? You think he's heartless, but he has a heart. It's just been bruised and battered and beaten around his whole life. You've just given Sonny Corinthos, a known criminal, permission to destroy an innocent man. That's right, innocent. What -- what has A.J. ever done that could ever compare to the crimes that Sonny Corinthos has committed? Hmm? No, but Jax wouldn't let me lie. Would you? You wouldn't let me lie to put him away. I mean, God forbid -- God forbid I should tell lies about Sonny. No. No, you protect Carly and Sonny but not A.J. Oh, God, A.J. has a heart, and Sonny's going to stop it. Sonny: Thank you. Alexis: You're welcome. Zander: Carly -- Carly: Sonny, wait. Sonny: They missed Courtney and A.J. by less than a half-hour. Alexis: How? Sonny: I waited too long. I wanted to be there, you know, so Courtney wouldn't be frightened, and we were at the pcpd wasting your time, my time, everybody's time. Now I got to start the search all over again. [Knock on door] Sonny: Oh, man, this is just -- hey, it's not a good time right now. I got to -- Carly: Yeah, well, I've got something to say to you, and if you shut that door in my face, I will stand here and yell them from the hall. Sonny: Ok, I've shut the door in your face once, just once. How many times have you gone against me and done exactly what I told you not to do? Carly: A hell of a lot less times than you think. Sonny: All right, come on in. Whatever. Say what you got to say. Carly: Oh, Alexis, what a surprise. You know, Sonny and I have some things to discuss, so if you scurry on across the hall, you can think of excuses to come back. Alexis: Let me know if you hear anything. Sonny: Ok. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Alexis covered for you tonight. Carly: She covered for you. I was willing to take responsibility for what I did, but you wouldn't let me. What kind of joke is this? I told the truth, and Alexis Davis, the pillar of honesty and moral integrity -- she lied because he asked you to. You'd do anything for him, wouldn't you? Sonny: Where's Michael tonight? Carly: He's at home with Leticia. Sonny: Where would he be if you had gotten arrested? With me or your mother, or on his way out of the country so the Quartermaines don't grab him? If you can't thank Alexis for yourself, thank her for your son. Carly: That's a cheap shot, Sonny. Sonny: Well, but it's true. So go ahead. Thank her.
