"I'm Not Going Anywhere"
Janine:
So which side of the turnip truck do you think I fell off, hmm?
If I put this in the mail, I'll be reading the next morning that
the post office burned down. And you'll be standing at her doorstep
trying to drag her back.
Alexis:
And that would turn Courtney against Sonny, and Sonny doesn't want
that.
Janine:
Fine. Then he'll just put some men on her so he can watch every
move she makes.
Sonny:
It's public knowledge Courtney's my sister. So that puts herri.
So if care about her so much, let me protect her.
Janine:
She trusted me --
Sonny:
Mm-hmm.
Janine:
With her whereabouts. And I am not about to break that trust for
anybody. Now, you know that she's all right. So you just relax,
ok? I'm out of here.
Sonny:
No, you're not.
Janine:
Ok. What are you going to do now, huh? You're going to force me
that would make a great impression for Courtney.
Sonny:
Get this to Courtney. I don't care how.
Janine:
No. No. No, you don't own me, and you don't own Courtney, and I'm
through taking money from you. And as a matter of fact, I don't
want to live in that house you've been keeping me in anymore. Thank
you very much, but I'm going to find my own accommodations in town.
Alexis:
So Courtney is coming back?
Janine:
You know, I'm guessing that she will when she's ready. Now, as I
said before, I'm out of here.
Janine:
There's news on Courtney. They can fill you in.
Mike:
Is Courtney all right? Where is she?
Janine:
If I didn't tell Mr. Sonny Corinthos, why in the hell would I tell
you?
Mike:
I'm her father, Janine.
Janine:
Courtney's going to be somebody despite you, despite all of us.
Courtney was right to run, maybe even from me. I'm willing to do
anything I can to make it up to her and to see that she has the
life she deserves.
Jax: Is
Courtney all right?
Sonny:
She doesn't concern you, Jax.
Mike:
Look, I want to know where my daughter is.
Janine:
You're not going to hear it from me.
Alexis:
Mike, please leave it alone.
Mike:
What did Janine tell you?
Sonny:
The same thing she told you.
Mike:
Damn it, Sonny, don't walk away.
Alexis:
Mike, if I were you, I wouldn't push it right now.
Mike:
Look, I'm his father. You're his lawyer. Stay out of it.
Jax:
Ooh. So, Courtney ran away, huh?
Alexis:
I hate to overstate the obvious, but this really is a bad time.
Jax:
Well, I'm sorry to hear that because it's about to get worse.
Jax:
Look, you know I don't want to see you hurt, but the longer you
stay around Corinthos, the better your chances.
Alexis:
The two of you have hated each other for I don't know how long,
and I'm not sure why this ever started and I just don't care, but
at the moment, it's really a bad time. This thing's going to get
out of control.
Jax:
So Courtney is already running from Sonny?
Alexis:
And that would be none of your concern.
Jax:
It was the unluckiest day of her life when that girl showed up here.
Alexis:
How's Skye?
Jax:
Hey, i got no problem admitting that you were right about Skye.
Why can't you see that I'm right about Sonny?
Alexis:
So she admitted to fabricating that threat? Good. I have no idea
how you do these things, but as long as you're on a roll, could
you get A.J. to back off of Courtney?
Jax:
What's A.J.'s interest in Courtney?
Alexis:
Just a way for him to get to Sonny. He's her new best friend now,
and he's hired an investigator to find her. There's a part of me
that wishes she'd stay hidden. The further away she is from A.J.,
the better.
Jax:
Huh. Whose is this stuff?
Alexis:
That's just stuff that Courtney left when she stayed here. Why?
Jax:
Oh, nothing. Just -- but you're certain that she's ok?
Alexis:
According to Janine, she's with a friend.
Alexis:
Hi.
Sonny:
Hi.
Alexis:
Just came to see if you were all right.
Sonny:
Well, I've been better. Even if Courtney's safe, I don't know where
she is, what she's doing.
Alexis:
Well, I'm sure that she'll let you know when she feels like letting
you know. You really can't obsess about this. And, you know, I was
watching Janine, and as flawed as she is -- and she is flawed --
I truly believe that she loves her daughter, and if she says that
Courtney's safe, you need to trust that.
Sonny:
Are you billing me for this advice?
Alexis:
Being your friend falls outside of the boundaries of my job description.
I just wanted to know if you're ok.
Sonny:
I still don't want you to move out. But, you know, I'm not going
to argue with you -- if you think that's what you need to do and
all that.
[Sonny
sighs]
Alexis:
I'm not going anywhere.
