"I'm Going to Tell You How I Feel About You"

Courtney: Take your hands off of him. Take your hands off of him right now. Sonny, tell your men to stop.

Sonny: Let go of mr. Quartermaine. Wait upstairs.

Sonny: You should go, too.

Courtney: Not until you explain what just happened.

Sonny: This doesn't concern you.

Courtney: I was in the car with A.J., Ok? He wasn't doing anything wrong. We were just having a conversation, and then your guards drag him out of the car and slam him up against this one. I want to know why.

A.J.: Ok, Courtney, it's just, you know, it's just a simple misunderstanding.

Courtney: Are you kidding?

A.J.: Look, your brother and I, we -- well, we have a complicated past, right, sonny?

Alexis: If Mr. Quartermaine is gracious enough to realize that this was a misunderstanding, then maybe we should just let this go.

Skye: The hell we will.

Alexis: If Mr. Quartermaine has chosen to drop the charges, it would make sense that we do that.

Skye: What about the time when sonny kidnapped A.J. and held him in a meat locker until he was forced to sign away all of his parental rights to his only child? What that a misunderstanding, too?

Courtney: Did you kidnap A.J. And steal his child?

Sonny: Wait upstairs.

Alexis: You know what, Courtney? I'll go with you.

Courtney: You cannot get rid of me that easy. Did you do what Skye said?

Alexis: Why don't you and I go upstairs?

Courtney: I'm waiting for an answer -- yes or no?

Alexis: It appears that things are a lot more complicated than they seem.

Courtney: No, I was there. I saw what those guards did to a.J., And now skye says that sonny kidnapped A.J. Before? If you deny it, I'll believe you. So tell me it's not true.

Mac: We got a report of an assault in progress.

Skye: Two of sonny's men grabbed A.J. And dragged him out of the car.

Taggert: Any other witnesses besides you?

Skye: Are you suggesting that i'm lying?

Mac: You've been less than truthful with the police before, ms. Quartermaine.

Skye: It happened exactly like i just said. Courtney saw it and so did the driver.

Driver: I didn't see anything.

Taggert: Ahem. What about you?

Alexis: You don't have to answer that.

Taggert: You know what? You let sonny and ms. Davis shut you up down at the police station. Don't do it again.

Courtney: I'm not sure --

Alexis: If you pressure Ms. Matthews into answering the question, it will be regarded as coercion, and I know that's not your intention.

Mac: Why would these questions be coercion? Is there something you're trying to hide?

A.J.: Hey, mac, you know, my sister, she's just -- she's overreacting, that's all, you know? Sonny was just concerned for his little sister.

Mac: Are you the same A.J. Quartermaine that's been after the police for months, alleging sonny kidnapped you and forced you to sign away your child?

A.J.: You know what, mac? I'm just tired of the hatred. I just want to get on with it, ok?

Taggert: Yeah, you know what?

A.J.: Look, Sonny, I know that it's going to be difficult for you to forget some of the things that i'm responsible for, so I'll tell you what -- I'll take the first step, all right? I'm -- I'm willing to let all this go.

Taggert: If that's the way you want it.

Mac: The next time you report a crime in progress, make sure you can back it up.

Sonny: Let's go.

Courtney: That's it? If it wasn't for A.J., They would be hauling you off to jail right now. Wait, you can't even manage a simple "thank you"?

Sonny: No.

A.J.: No thanks is necessary. Really, I just hope that you take the gesture in the way it was meant, that's all.

Sonny: I know exactly what you're doing, A.J., And why.

A.J.: I'm just trying to make peace, sonny.

Sonny: Yeah?

A.J.: Yeah. I don't want to fight with you anymore. I just -- let's get on with things, all right? Let's just forget about it. What do you say?

Sonny: Come on, let's go.

Courtney: What?

A.J.: Some other time. Savio, Skye.

Courtney: What is wrong with you? What, are you some kind of monster?

Courtney: You summoned me?

Sonny: I asked to see you.

Courtney: Is this where you explain why you had your guards grab A.J.?

Alexis: He was concerned when he thought you went off with Skye.

Courtney: Look, I get that you're his lawyer, and I know that it's part of your job to make excuses for him. But you're my brother, and I would appreciate a little honesty.

Sonny: I was concerned. I told Max and Johnny to go looking for you. You said you wanted us to get to know each other.

Courtney: That's not even an answer. That's not anything. I just don't get you. I can't figure you out. Sometimes it seems like you're reaching out to me. Other times you turn to ice. So here is your chance to tell me exactly who you are.

Sonny: I'm a man with a complicated life. I -- I make choices that require compromise. I keep those choices private so they don't affect the people around me, and that includes you now. There are aspects of my life that I don't discuss, questions that I don't answer because I don't want them to touch you.

Courtney: I guess that's your way of admitting that everything that they said was true.

Sonny: You really need to understand, a.J. Quartermaine hates me.

Courtney: It looked to me like the other way around.

Sonny: That's what he wants you to think.

Courtney: Excuse me?

Sonny: This whole thing was a setup.

Courtney: Wait, you are putting this all on him?

Sonny: Even the commissioner knew he was lying.

Courtney: What are you saying? That anged to have himself dragged out of his own car? You just admitted that you sent your guards to find me.

Sonny: I wanted to protect you.

Courtney: What? By assaulting an innocent man?

Sonny: He's not innocent!

Courtney: Ok, I'm not talking about the past. I'm talking about right now, ok?

Sonny: What?

Courtney: A.J. Was sitting in his car. Last time I checked, that wasn't a crime.

Sonny: I know the man. You don'T.

Courtney: I know that a.J. Refused to press charges, and when he was decent enough to try and shake your hand, you couldn't even bring yourself to do it.

Sonny: That's right. That's right!

Courtney: Ok, all right, I know that you blame A.J. For being drunk when carly fell down the stairs, but it was not his fault. It was an accident, ok? A.J. Did not mean for you and --

Sonny: Stop defending him!

[Glasses smash]

Sonny: Alexis, can you take Courtney across the hall?

Alexis: That's a fine idea.

Mike: Sonny. Courtney, what's going on?

Courtney: My big brother just ordered me out of the room. Not that it matters. I was leaving anyway.

Mike: What did he do?

Courtney: It's not important. I guess I'm just getting to know him. Anyhow, I'm going. So if you want to see me, I'll be across the hall.

Mike: All right, well, go do whatever you want.

Courtney: Do you mean that?

Mike: Yeah, I do.

Courtney: I want to live with you.

Mike: What? What, do you mean my apartment?

Courtney: It's not working out for me here anymore. Please, dad, let me stay with you.

Mike: Honey, i would love to have you with me, but my place is tiny. There's no room, and it's a lousy neighborhood.

Courtney: Well, I don't mind, I don't mind. I just need to get out of here.

Sonny: If courtney wants to live with you, mike, then you're going to have to move.

Mike: All right, i'll start looking tomorrow.

Sonny: All right, find yourself a safe place and comfortable.

Mike: Look, just keep your money, ok?

Sonny: If you want courtney to live with you, you're going to have to take the cash. If you want to do what's right for your daughter, take the cash.

Mike: You ready to go?

Courtney: Ok, I'll pack my stuff, and then i'll meet you in the lobby.

Alexis: Come on, courtney, I'll walk you across the hall.

Courtney: Thanks.

Mike: What the hell did you do to your sister?

Sonny: I don't have to answer to you.

Mike: I know what I walked in on. You were punishing her with your anger and your silence. I've been on the receiving end long enough to recognize the signs. But this time, i'm not going to sit back and watch. I will protect my daughter against anyone, including you.

Sonny: We're finished.

Mike: Listen, you won't change, will you, Michael? The second someone disappoints you, the door slams shut, and god knows if it'll ever open up again. You can take your grudges out on me till the day I die, but don't ever do anything or take anything out on Courtney again. Ever.

[Door opens and closes]

Sonny: They're gone?

Alexis: Oh, yeah. Sorry for intruding. I'm certain you would like to be alone right now. Never mind.

Sonny: You know what? I just -- I want you to know that I didn't forget what you did. I didn't, you know -- I didn't think it was right, but --

Alexis: Listen, thanks for reminding me, but, interestingly enough, I got it the first time.

Sonny: You don't have to leave. You know, I knew Courtney would see me someday, really see me for who and what I am. I knew someday she'd ask me questions that I wouldn't be able to answer. But I thought I'd have more time, you know? That -- she'd like me a little bit, maybe, you know? More time for her to trust me or even maybe believe me when i said to her that my choices in my life would never touch her. There are things i never wanted her to see. Ugly things.

Sonny: I frightened her today. I did not want to do that.

Sonny: I never wanted any woman to look at me like that again.

Alexis: So tell her.

Sonny: I can't.

Alexis: Yes, you can.

Sonny: No.

Alexis: Yes, you can learn to communicate like a grownup instead of keeping everything locked inside and letting it fester and fester until it blows out into a rage and you break everything in everybody's apartment. It's not fair to the people around you. It's not fair to her. So tell her. Talk to your sister and tell her that you're sorry for frightening her. Talk to your sister and tell her that you love her.

Alexis: You can get better at expressing yourself. You can. You -- we both can, actually. I'll show you. I'll go first. I'm going to tell you how I feel about you.
