Act I
At the PCPD, Faith and Ric discuss Alexis. Faith remarks that Sonny clearly took Alexis over the moon, at least for one night, and asks Ric if that's what he wants to do too. Ric says she's a criminal who should be off the streets but Faith thinks there's more to it.

Georgie fumes when Dillon pays Sage an exorbitant amount of attention. Lorenzo shows up and sees how happy Sage is. Ned shows up and Lorenzo tells him the key to his funding is keeping his niece happy.

Courtney and Jax meet accidentally in the park where he returns her runaway dog. Jax tells her he wants a hand in the foundation; he doesn't want to be a figurehead. She doesn't have a choice and agrees to it.

Sam tells Jason she wants him to leave her alone. They exit together.

Carly and Sonny prepare to take Michael for his first day back to school. Michael overhears Sam discuss her pregnancy with Jason. He insults her and Sonny makes him apologize.

Sonny leaves with Michael.

Carly threatens Sam.

Act II
Ned tells Lorenzo he's got a big-time video director lined up on the off-chance Dillon messes this up. Dillon overhears and promises everyone that things are under control. Sage preens and giggles. Georgie, looking ill, moves into another space with her cell phone and calls Maxie for advice.

Carly tells Sam she can attack Sonny and Jax all she wants because if they think with their lower anatomy, they deserve it. But Michael's a kid and she won't let her manipulate him. Jason puts an end to their fighting. Sam exits. Jason chastises Carly.

Sonny tells Michael they will have the Perfect Little Family but Michael asks if that's true how come he made another baby with Sam?

Alexis visits Courtney. She tells her that she's doing legal work for Jax. She says that Sonny and Jason and their cash have to stay out of her business. Courtney scoffs "but of course". Alexis suggests Carly stay out of it too. Courtney is angered. Ric shows up and says he thinks Courtney is using the foundation as a front for the mob. Alexis looks annoyed.

Act III
Sonny tells Michael there's a special test Sam's taking to see whose baby she's having. He says if the baby is his, he expects Michael to be a good brother. He asks if Sonny is going to kick him and Carly and Morgan out and move Sam and the new baby in. Sonny says no.

Carly can't believe Jason is abandoning her this way. She says that since he's made himself responsible for Sam, he would do well to keep the little scrapper away from her and her children.

Maxie rigs a paint can on a ladder to tip over and spill onto Sage as she practices her dance routine. Georgie's not sure of the plan to expose Sage as the diva she is but Maxie convinces her to do it. They start to play that song of Sage's. Again.

Alexis accuses Ric of making work that he's not supposed to be doing, his, just to get under her skin. They argue. Courtney tries to kick them out and Ric says this is just Alexis' mating dance.

Act IV
Dillon is filming Sage. When she starts to clearly demonstrate the phrase "making love to the camera," Georgie pulls the plug; the ladder moves; the paint spills; Sage falls and hurts her knee. Maxie makes Georgie swear to keep this a secret. Dillon and Georgie lift Sage up to take her to the hospital.

Alexis tells Ric he needs a court order to look at those papers. He says he'll get one. Alexis offers to represent Courtney and her foundation and she says yes. Ric leaves; Alexis leaves soon after. Courtney asks Jax what just happened and Jax says he's not sure but he thinks it was beneficial to them.

Sam tells Jason she's going to take the paternity test. In the hallway she runs into Michael who apologizes and says his father has made him understand.

Sonny goes into his penthouse and sees Carly. He tells her that he's going to the hospital to be with Sam as she has the test. Carly says the words which ought to be flagging "danger danger" to Sonny. What are they? "Go ahead -- I won't interfere at all".

Act V
Carly, needing a favor, tries to call Bobbie at the hospital but it's her day off. Michael bounds into the room and Carly tells him with any luck the baby won't be Sonny's and Sam will bounce back to whence she came. Michael wants that too.

Courtney escorts Jax to the hospital. She then heads to the microbiology lab and finds Jason who says he's there for the same reason she is -- waiting for Carly.

Sam's in room 523. If she were in room 423? We'd have ourselves a little problem. Sonny tells her that he wants the kid to be his. She says she wants that too. Sonny says if the kid's not his, he'll protect her anyways. And the kid. Interesting how he didn't do either of those two things when it was Alexis. Jax shows up and tells Sam and Sonny that if the kid's his, Sonny has to stay away from Sam during her pregnancy.

Dillon, Georgie, Lorenzo and Sage learn that in addition to twisting her knee, Sage may never sing again. She screamed so loud when the ladder fell she damaged her vocal cords, you see. Dillon blames himself but Georgie says it's her fault.

Act VI
Carly, suited up in scrubs and a surgical mask, heads for the DNA lab *before* Sam even has the test. Jason and Courtney admonish her -- she cannot switch the DNA.

Michael lectures an exceptionally cheerful Morgan about how he can't cry in the night anymore, and how Michael will make sure all their toys are picked up. He's ensuring that Sonny doesn't love the new kid more than he loves Michael & Morgan, you see.

Jax watches as Sam grabs for Sonny's hand during the amnio.

Dillon blames himself for Sage's accident. Lorenzo tells Ned he'll sue him six ways to Sunday in addition to withdrawing all the money from L&B.

Preview
Lorenzo tells "Connor" that although he'd promised that he wouldn't have to be involved in anything illegal, he does have a job for him which requires breaking & entering.

Carly tells Jason and Courtney that she can't understand why they're standing in the way of her doing this -- they should understand why it's just necessary.

Dr. Meadows tells Jax and Sonny that by this evening they should know which one of them is the baby's father.
