Act
I
Mary tells Nikolas that the police are searching for him
because he deserted the marines. He says that's impossible
because he would never refuse to do his duty.
Emily announces to Ric that it's time to send a team to
the river with rescue boats. Alexis looks on as Ric begins
to be difficult.
Sam realizes Sonny set it up for her to win every game.
She tells him she's going to reciprocate the favor.
Jason and Carly learn that Morgan has scarlet fever as Lorenzo
looks on. Both men tell Carly he'll be fine. Jason tells
Carly that she has to be strong and fight for her son and
that includes sitting by his bedside. Carly instructs Jason
to call Sonny.
Act II
Mary tells Nikolas that he saved three soldiers but was
wounded. He expected to be discharged but instead, they
wanted him to go back for another tour. She says they planned
to meet in secret but by the time she found him he'd been
hurt -- she doesn't know how. He says he may not remember
his name or anything else but he is familiar with the words
duty and honor and he can't see how he would ever desert
his country. She says he did it for her.
Carly holds the baby and reassures him. She says that it's
just the two of them like it's been from the beginning.
She assures him he'll be fine.
Sam tells Sonny that she hated Cinderella and its misogynistic
undertones. But unfortunately now she's starting to feel
like Cinderella. Sonny tells her he's no prince. Jason calls
to tell him Morgan's in the hospital with scarlet fever.
Act III
Emily begs them not to abandon the search for Nikolas.
Nikolas decides to turn himself in. Mary doesn't want him
to.
Carly isn't happy when the neo-natal nurse kicks her out.
Jason tells Carly not to antagonize Sonny when he shows
up.
The bomber meets with Lorenzo and demands his money. Carly
shows up and wants to know what's going on.
Sonny and Sam are on the plane. Sam, still in her diamond
earrings, and looking decidedly 1988 all over, inquires
as to why Sonny blames himself. He says that Morgan's sick
because he came from him -- Michael is the only child he's
supposed to have because Michael isn't his, biologically.
Act IV
Sonny reiterates why his children always die. This includes
retreading such hits as "Lily Blew Up" and "Carly
Fell Down". Strangely though, we didn't get the "Alexis
Slept With Two Men" scenario. Hmmm...
Carly finds out Morgan will be fine. The bomber follows
her and Lorenzo.
Emily finds the rings in the car. She shows them off to
Alexis who feebly compliments her. Duncan and Alexis meet
and don't agree about what should be happening.
Nik tells Mary he'll sleep on it and they can decide in
the morning. She takes off and leaves him to sleep; he goes
out the window.
Act V
Sonny rocks Morgan to sleep and calls him a champ.
Sam talks to Jason and he tells her not to hang around.
She spots the bomber and takes off.
Carly thanks God or, whoever, in the chapel repeatedly.
Lorenzo shows up.
Sonny emerges from Morgan's room and asks Jason why he didn't
call him sooner. Jason says he just didn't know this whole
thing would happen so quickly. Sonny asks where Sam went.
Act VI
Sonny finds Carly and Lorenzo in the chapel. The marrieds
play the blame game.
Sam eavesdrops as the bomber gets a payment. She steps on
a board and it squeaks. He asks who's there.
Jason reassures Morgan.
Nikolas heads to the crash site. Not remembering anything
he sits down, dejected. Not twenty feet away Emily weeps,
albeit silently, for her lost love.
