Act I
Chad is breaking my heart. That is all.

Sonny tells Jason that his personal life is none of his concern. Besides, he's been totally honest with Sam about his intentions. On the stairs, not even really bothering to hide, Sam listens, hating what she hears.

Elizabeth takes off after her cell phone doesn't work. She tells Ric and Lucky that she's just seen Zander at Emily's cottage and he's got to hurry.

Lorenzo, looking like a lost little boy, agrees to the bomber's terms. He then pushes Carly away and tells her to stop trying to nest him from one piece of furniture to the next like a bird. He tells her he doesn't want her pity and that he wants her to leave.

Emily tells Zander that she doesn't want to sleep with him. He says he wants to make love. She strips for him and vindictively tells him he's made a whore out of her because she's willing to do anything to be with Nikolas. Zander breaks down, crying, saying that this isn't what he wanted -- never.

Act II
Courtney finds Jason outside Kelly's. She tells him the custody papers are like a game of hot potato. He says he doesn't want to deliver them either. They try to hatch a plan.

Lorenzo convinces Carly to leave. Once gone, he calls for his man. He can't find the bomber.

Zander gives Emily a blanket and she covers up. She tells him she forgives him. He says that's all he ever wanted -- her forgiveness. He reassures her that Nikolas is fine. Suddenly Lucky comes over the megaphone and tells Zander to surrender. Outside, Ric tells a new officer (Officer Matt Crane, if I'm not mistaken. hee!) not to fire under any circumstances. Liz shows up and tells Ric that Emily is her best friend.

Act III
Sonny and Sam have just made love off-camera. Courtney knocks at the door. Sonny opens the door, and she takes too long a look at her brother's shirtless bod, in my opinion. Sam goes upstairs. Courtney tells Sonny that these are the custody papers Alexis dropped off for Mike to give him. She also says that after Sonny gave Carly back custody of the boys she told her of her plan to leave Lorenzo.

Sage brings Lorenzo a cane and tells him she's signed him up for therapy. She leaves. He takes the cane and smashes all the glassware in the room in anger.

Jason shows up to see Carly. He tells her that Michael needs to quit running off. Carly says they've told him to stop. Jason tells her he's still doing it so she ought to try harder. Jason then asks if she's happy. She says no.

Emily wants Zander to surrender. Officer Mr. Robin Christopher's husband asks how violent of a guy Zander is. They all agree he wouldn't hurt Emily.

Act IV
Nikolas hears on the radio that Zander isn't dead. He makes a sharp turn in order to go find Emily.

Emily and Zander decide to leave together. He kisses her goodbye and says they've come full circle. They walk out together and many guns are trained on him. He seems shocked.

Carly tells Jason that it's easy to be with Lorenzo because he tells her how he feels about her without her having to draw it out of him like she did with Sonny. She says that he's a good person. Jason says she never said she loved him.

Sonny doesn't care if Carly was going to leave Lorenzo. He tells Courtney it doesn't matter. Courtney asks him what'll happen if Lorenzo can see again and Carly leaves him -- if he and Carly could get back together. He tells her to take the papers and leave. She won't take them.

Act V
Sam, wearing a shirt with at least four weird black straps that ought not to be there, hangs out in PH 4. Jason returns. She dismisses him but he won't leave. They disagree.

Lorenzo, looking spiffy in a black leather coat and sunglasses, shows up with his cane to see Carly. He asks for her help and she grants it.

Emily says that Zander hasn't hurt her. She tells them she's OK. Ric tells Zander to kneel down and put his hands on his head. Zander turns to Emily. He says "I love you" and then deliberately defies Ric's instructions. He is shot down in a hail of bullets while Emily screams no. I HATE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I curse it to the depths of hell on days like this. Character assassination; stupidity; overwhelming violence -- somebody PLEASE remind me WHY I still hold out hope it will get better. It won't.

Act VI
Sam tells Jason that despite what she's trying to do to stop it, she can no longer deny the truth: she's falling in lust, er, love, with Sonny.

Lorenzo and Carly kiss. Sonny shows up and looks through the window. I remember Sonny spotting another couple through the window of a similar house... He doesn't go inside.

Ric tells Emily to step away from Zander. Emily rails out and tells Ric that she doesn't want any of their phony sympathy. She cradles Zander's dying body. He tells her this is how they met. He says that for awhile she made his life golden. She tells him he's going to be all right; they'll get him to the hospital. Zander dies in her arms. She cries.

Nikolas hears on the radio that shots were fired. He starts to drive faster and reaches for the rings he bought Emily and himself while shopping in Manhattan. Suddenly he loses control of the car and brakes squeal.

Sam confidentally tells Jason that one day Sonny will love her back. Jason tells her she's dreaming -- he's in love with his wife

Sonny tells Carly this won't take long -- he can see that she is busy

Emily tells Ric he's always wanted Zander dead and now he's gotten what he wished for. Ric tells her that Zander wanted to die

A car wreck smokes as Nikolas lies inside, upside down
