Act I
Alexis continues to ask Sonny pointed questions until Carly steps in and suggests Alexis has her own agenda. Carly says she has something to say -- this isn't fair. On the stand, Carly says that Alexis had an affair with her husband, or rather, a one-night stand. She says Alexis never got over it and that's why she's so bitter. The judge asks if Alexis is still in love with Sonny. She says no. Sonny looks surprised. Alexis asks to be removed from the case. The judge says no. The judge asks if she has any more questions for Carly. She says no. He says he'll render his decision shortly. Lorenzo and Faith look on.

Ric shows up and tells Liz, Emily & Nikolas the case is closed.

Alan stops Maxie from entering "Mac's" room by saying he needs his rest. Zander is relieved.

Elsewhere Mac has a John Doe chart on him.

Act II
At the hospital Felicia discovers Mac is missing. The girls take a look at Mac's progress as Zander sneaks off, dressed like a doctor.

At Kelly's, Ric and Em make their apologies for not being able to stay, then leave. Unfortunately they run into Helena outside. And I say unfortunately for them -- but not for us! Constance looks awesome!

In the courtroom Justus makes a pretty weak closing argument begging the court not to allow Sonny's kids to grow up as fatherless boys. Alexis, on the other hand, defines the term fatherless -- which is what would happen if Sonny died. She brings into play the fact that they were gunned down together outside the PCPD; she also brings in Brenda, and Lily. Sonny can't look at her; he looks very uncomfortable. She tells the judge that if the kids are with him, he'll put them at risk. Afterwards Alexis tells Carly she's done her part and after this trial Carly can just drop dead. Carly keeps threatening but Alexis doesn't even seem to care anymore.

Act III
Zander breaks into some guy's house but his girlfriend shows up so he has to take off.

Felicia announces Mac's missing.

Mac is checked into the hospital (Mercy?} as John Doe.

Liz tells Ric she can finally relax.

Helena tells Nik about the money she's put in a trust for him. He tells her his plans to give it away. She is not impressed.

Justus tells Sonny, "the next time you're in the mood for a one night stand? don't choose a trial attorney".

Alexis asks Carly why she's so intent on ruining her life. "Because if Sonny's focussing his anger on you, he won't come after me," she says. Alexis is worried.

Outside, Jason goes to speak to Faith and tells her there will be no reason to keep the peace after the trial is decided.

Carly is talking to Lorenzo (still looking hot, btw) when Sonny asks her to come to dinner at the penthouse with the boys.

Act IV
Carly and Sonny are in the limo on their way to the penthouse. Carly remarks on his silence. He says if it weren't for her he wouldn't be a father. Um, no. She tells him he's welcome. Suddenly the limo jerks and Carly flies towards him.

Liz shows up at the courthouse and asks Courtney if she could leave so she can talk to Jason.

Emily and Nikolas stumble into a church. He tells her he wants to marry her tonight. I swear if we go through one more round of couples exchanging their vows alone in a church/permanent lock crap, I will not be responsible!

In the courtroom Lorenzo finds Alexis. Once alone, she asks what he's doing there. He asks if Sonny's breakdowns were real. She says she won't discuss it with him. He says he'll take her silence as a yes. She doesn't deny it.

Act V
In a scene that goes on and on and on and on (I think Titanic was shorter), Nik and Em recite their vows to each other.

Liz thanks Jason for signing the statement. Suddenly the baby kicks and she grabs his hand. Excitedly he feels the kick as Courtney looks on, clearly angry.

Alexis tells Lorenzo she assumes he's footing the bill for this debacle and that he ought to prepare himself -- it costs a lot to make her look like a fool. He asks why she took the case. She says Sonny is dangerous to any child. Lorenzo looks thoughtful.

Max tells Carly & Sonny that the steering went out and he's going to call for another car. Carly asks Sonny if he thinks that the judge will put the kids in foster care. He says they didn't trash each other too badly so probably not. He asks why she shut Alexis down today.

Alan tells Felicia that Mac's missing and she better hope he's in a sterile environment or else he's at risk for infection.

Mac is told he's at Mercy as a nurse begins to change his bandages.

Act VI
Sonny asks why Carly hired Alexis. She says it's because she wins. He asks why she took the case. Carly says she needs the money. Things click for Sonny: "that stunt she pulled in court had nothing to do with money," he says.

Jason tells Max that they're not in any hurry to get the new car.

Em and Nik finish exchanging vows ('bout time). Zander shows up and watches.

Mike tells Lucky if he ran the world, Lucky would be with Liz. Lucky leaves Kelly's and the woman from the apartment Zander broke into, asks Lucky how to file a missing person's report.

Sonny to Carly: "she's going after me like I'm trying to take away her kid".

Zander bumps against something and Emily and Nik look for the source of the noise

Jason tells Lorenzo & Alexis that Carly & Sonny are fine and he should leave them alone
