Act I
Elizabeth is about to burn Zander's letter but Ric stops her. She tells him she's had it a few days and he asks if she believes that he killed Zander. She tells him she did it.

Emily bids Nikolas goodbye. She then receives a letter Zander mailed to her before the fire which states Nik killed him. Interesting that mail takes such a long time to arrive, depending on who's getting it. She asks Lucky over and he asks her if she thinks Nik did it.

Michael and Leticia are having breakfast at Kelly's. Sam shows up. Michael tells Leticia that Sam is his father's new girlfriend.

Courtney's all tied up and blindfolded. A man with a knife shows up to rescue her. She makes it to the courtroom where she doesn't tell anyone where she was.

When Sonny learns Courtney's missing he has a mini-meltdown in court. Alexis tells Carly that this tantrum was far worse than the one she threw earlier -- this is good.

Sonny tells Justus that he needs his sister found. Justus tries to calm him down.

Act II
In a flashback sequence, we see that Liz visited Zander in the basement. He stole the signed custody papers and told her to have Emily meet him or else he'd take the kid. Liz hit him over the head with a pipe, grabbed the documents and ran. She tells Ric the truth. Ric asks if she knew he was dead before she left; she says no. Ric suggests that perhaps Zander's not dead at all.

Emily tells Lucky that Zander was out of control at the end and Nikolas was so protective of her -- maybe he did kill Zander. Nikolas returns home and tells Lucky he didn't know he was coming over. He then asks if there's new evidence in the case.

At the courthouse Courtney maintains her car ran out of gas. Jason chases Faith away and tries to get the truth out of his wife but she won't reveal it.

Alexis asks Carly if she's sure she wants Courtney testify. Confident Carly reassures her that Courtney couldn't possibly say anything damaging about her on the stand. Alexis calls her. Courtney heads up there, swearing to tell the truth.

Act III
Ric suggests that someone else visited Zander and subsequently killed him after Elizabeth hit him. She wants to confess but Ric doesn't want her to.

Lucky and Emily choose not to tell Nikolas about the letter.

In the courtroom Alexis' attempts to portray Sonny's lifestyle as dangerous are all shot down by Justus and the judge. In the end, she simply asks Courtney who should have custody. Courtney says they should share. Carly says "no" out loud.

Lorenzo tells Faith he set her captive bird free.

Act IV
Lorenzo tells Faith she didn't do her job right. He threatens to do it for her.

At Kelly's, Sam and Mike discuss Sonny. She asks why Mike's being so nice to her. She leaves. Michael lies to Leticia and follows her.

In the courtroom Alexis is disappointed when Courtney says all the wrong things. Sonny tells Justus that now's his chance to ask Courtney what happened when Alcazar kidnapped her but instead Justus has no further questions for her.

Michael follows Sam onto her boat. Sam leaves the room. Michael hides. Lorenzo shows up and Sam asks why he's there.

Act V
Lorenzo tells Sam to spend more time with Sonny and they'll both get what they want. Sam tells him she doesn't want to wreck Sonny's chance to get his kids. She then pulls out a gun and threatens him. She says, and I quote, "Get off my boat before I blow you off". Michael eavesdrops from behind a curtain.

When Courtney is excused Sonny says nothing but Carly gives her an earful: "We had an understanding". Courtney tells Carly she has to learn to share. Carly finds Jason and tells him that she knows he put her up to that.

Emily tells Nik she has a class. Apparently she's still in school. She takes off.

Liz's check-up went well. She leaves the hospital after saying goodbye to Ric. Ric asks a nurse what the officer was doing. The nurse says he got samples of Zander's handwriting for a case. Ric's suspicious.

Act VI
Faith is waiting in Courtney's office. She thanks her for covering for her, then calls M&M brats. Courtney pushes her down. Faith pulls out a gun and blindly fires.

Lorenzo tells whoever it is to stop following him. Michael steps out and says they have to talk. Lorenzo crouches down and asks what he wants to talk about. Michael asks why he won't stay away from his mother.

In the courtroom, Carly tells Jason if he doesn't tell the court the kids belong with her, she will tell the court about Sonny's depression.

Emily and Lucky meet up outside Kelly's. He tells her that the handwriting analysis showed that either the letters weren't written by Zander at all, or that they were done under duress.

Ric instructs Lucky and Emily to "hand it over now".

Felicia reassures Mac that she's home and the girls are safe with her now.

Sage can't believe Dillon still wants Georgie. He says he's in love with her.

Lorenzo asks Michael who yells at him and makes his mother cry.

Jason is asked if Sonny should have custody.
