Act I
Courtney balks when Jax suggest they take another airplane ride. She throws him out gently, giggling the whole time like she thinks she's trapped in the latest Kate Hudson romantic comedy/star vehicle.

Liz tells Ric & Alexis that her baby Cameron couldn't sleep. Alexis suggests the vacuum cleaner. Alexis holds the baby, then Ric does.

The paramedics bring Mary in. They discuss whether or not her being found in the river was an attempted suicide. Lorenzo shows up and says she has every reason to live.

Carly begs Sonny to live, so he does.

The guy who shot Sonny knocks out a janitor at GH. He dons his glasses and uniform and watches as Jason brings Sam in for surgery.

Nikolas strips. He and Emily have sex on the couch.

Act II
Jason finds CuteStan! at the hospital and tells him that no one's heard from Sonny in awhile and it's important to find him.

The nun says that Sonny, in his delerium keeps calling out for Carly. <insert joke here> The doctor emerges and tells Carly that he's asking for her. When she sees him, he tells her she shouldn't be there.

Lorenzo asks Mary what happened. She tells him to find Connor right away.

Nikolas tells Emily that "this" goes against everything he believes in. She takes out a photo and prepares to tell him the truth when his phone rings and Lorenzo announces his wife has been in a serious accident.

Alexis tells Liz she'll leave her and Ric alone but Liz says she actually has to be going. She leaves. Alexis asks Ric why they broke up. He says it's because of his grudge against Sonny.

Act IV
Jax orders a bottle of champagne at the cellar and then Courtney walks in and sits down.

Carly tells Sonny she knew she'd find him and he says he'd die for her. She asks why they're so good in a crisis but so bad in the day-to-day. Just then, Carly's cell phone rings. It's Jason who wants to talk to Sonny. Jason tells Sonny that Sam's OK; Sonny tells Jason someone's after him and they're good.

Alexis asks Ric if he wants to talk about what went wrong in his marriage. He grows defensive. She takes off.

Mary tells Nikolas that she was walking too close to the river, and with the rain they've been having, didn't know it would be so slippery. She slipped in and couldn't find anything to hold onto. She woke up in the hospital. Lorenzo looks on.

Act V
Lorenzo tells Nikolas he doesn't think Mary attempted suicide for something that happened in the past. The doctor says her condition is worsening.

Sonny tells Carly they have to leave.

Jason tells Sam what happened. Sonny's shooter looks on.

Liz finds Ric in the park. She says she never thought she'd be a single parent living with her grandmother. He asks if she wants to try again.

Act VI
Sam feels responsible for Sonny's accident. Jason leaves to call him. Sonny's shooter prepares to stab Jason with a needle.

Sonny gets dressed but Carly doesn't want to leave.

Jax flirts with Courtney. Lois shows up. He's happy to see her.

Nikolas promises Mary that if she recovers he won't let anything stand in their way of happiness. Emily eavesdrops.

Jason fights off the needle-wielding dude and then asks Sam if she knows him

Mary asks Nikolas not to leave her; he then tells Emily that tonight was a mistake; she tells him he may change his mind once he hears what she has to say
