Act I
Courtney tells Jax she doesn't want to run laps around the zoo with him -- she'd rather eat with the apes than that. He tells her he just pointed out the truth to her. She tells him the bet is on -- he will lose.

Sam overhears Jason instructing his accountant to draw up a million dollar anonymous cheque for Courtney. Sam asks why it's anonymous but Jason skirts the issue.

Nikolas wakes up and leaves Mary sleeping in bed. He heads to the beach where he runs into Emily who says she's been waiting for him. She asks him about his cross and he says that it was the first touchstone he had when he woke up after the accident.

Lucky shows up at the courthouse and acts all accusatory towards Skye. Apparently a letter came from Luke wherein he told its reader that Skye was responsible for the set-up.

A barefoot and hung-over Alexis wakes up to Kristina making noise. The sitter tells Alexis "that nice man Ric Lansing brought you home". Alexis reads a note from Ric telling her that Skye's bail hearing is at 9 AM. She heads off to get ready.

Act II
Alexis comes tearing out of her bedroom all "Risky Business"-style in a pale blue/gray-ish suit. She tells Kristina to turn off the TV and read a book. She's about to turn it off when she sees Ric in the middle of giving a press conference. "He has a hickey!" she screams incredulously.

Nikolas tells Emily that he felt drawn to this place somehow. Emily tries to get him to elaborate but he can't. When he tells her that he needed to get away to have a second chance with Mary, Emily cries silently. He asks her what's wrong.

Dillon tells Georgie about the mysterious singer. She thinks that Dillon dreamed her up -- until he plays her back for her. Georgie's impressed. Ned shows up and wonders where this singer is.

Courtney is whining to the bartender about how she wishes money would just drop out of the sky for her charity event. Suddenly, the sky opens and a courier shows up with a million dollar cheque for the blonde. She's happy.

Act III
Alexis pulls her shirt up over her exposed bra as Skye looks on, bemused. She asks what's going on and Alexis says she has it all under control. She takes Ric aside and tells him "nothing happened last night. right?" He asks if she's asking if he took advantage of her inebriated state. She looks slightly worried.

Emily tells Nikolas about St. Vivianis day -- the fake holiday he invented last December 2nd in order to distract her from studying. Nikolas looks like he's beginning to remember when Mary calls for Connor.

Sam tells Jason that the reason they will work together is because he won't have any false expectations of her.

Jax shows up with lilacs and an apology. Courtney assumes he sent the cheque. She's grateful. He doesn't deny it.

Act IV
Skye wonders what's come over Alexis. Alexis goes to talk to Ric and is fixated upon his neck. He asks if he cut himself shaving. She can't ask what she wants to ask. He points out her two different-colored shoes. Alan and Edward show up and talk about how Alexis will fix things right up for Skye. As soon as the proceedings begin Alexis drops a stack of papers and Ric "helps" her pick them up.

Sam tells Jason what a nice person Courtney is. She tells him she knows it's time to put her baby first instead of herself.

Mary shows up and Emily exits. She and Nikolas sit down on the beach for a fruit picnic as voyeuristic Emily continues to look on.

Jax tells Courtney if it'll make her feel better he'll accept blame for the cheque. She smiles.

Dillon tells Ned he'll let him meet Lynn soon. Georgie thinks Dillon won't be able to find her and he'll miss his exam but Dillon reassures her.

Act V
Ric makes kissy faces at Alexis as she's speaking. She cuts off quickly and the judge thanks her for her uncharacteristic brevity. Skye is released into Alan's custody. Alexis takes off in hot pursuit of Ric and asks if they kissed last night. He tells her to try real hard and she might be able to remember.

Georgie and Dillon are in the park. She almost chokes on a chip. He takes off in search of a drink as she sees Lynn and tells her she's heard all about her.

Sam tells Jason she doesn't want to decide to commit to this and then find out that he actually wants Courtney back. He promises that won't happen.

Act VI
Courtney goes on and on about Jax and his generosity. Sam shows up at "The Cellar" and seems ready to correct Courtney's eroneous assumption that the shiny million came from Jax.

Emily dashes into Jason's apartment and screams for him. "Do you ever wish you could get back the life you had before the accident 'cuz Nikolas is alive" she says breathlessly.

Nikolas and Mary walk along the beach. They decide to possibly go horseback riding. She tells him she's never seen him so relaxed and suggests they move there.

Georgie tells Lynn that Dillon recorded her and wants to give her a record contract after the meets L&B's owner. Dillon shows up and Lynn gives him a slap in the face for his trouble.

Alexis returns home and has a flashback of last night; Ric leaving. She smiles. She flops down on the couch and has another flashback -- this time she pulls him in for a kiss and they fall unceremoniously onto the couch, her first, him on top. Her hands are around his neck; his hand moves to her shoulder. She wakes up, horrified.
