Act I

At the hospital Maxie tells Georgie it's best if she doesn't tell Mac she was in the hotel. She takes off to sit with him. Dillon embraces Georgie and offers to go in to see Mac with her.

Edward is brought into the ER where Alan announces that he needs surgery but may not be strong enough to handle it.

Jax wants to know if Sam's in love with Sonny. She says she doesn't know how she feels and Jax bids her goodbye.

Courtney screams and yells at Ric before Mike leads her off. Emily screams and yells at Ric before Monica leads her off. Ric hugs Liz.

Nikolas finds Jason and passes him a paperclip. Jason is relieved.

Luke tenderly suggests to Skye that they should stop by the hospital but she just wants to go home. The camera pans to the treasure in the trashbin.

Carly wakes up and Sonny and Lorenzo both want to help her. They pass Carly up to Lorenzo; Sonny tells them to go but Carly says they're not leaving him.

Act II

Carly and Lorenzo pull Sonny up. Sonny wants them to leave him behind but heroic altruists that they are -- they refuse. He wants them to take him to the elevator and they oblige.

Alan, Monica, Emily, Ned and Tracy meet up at the hospital. Monica tells Alan that Jason's still in the building.

Jason wants Nikolas to leave him. He even gives him a friendly nudge to get him going. Nik starts to take off.

Downstairs, Courtney refuses to believe that Jason attacked Capelli like he says. She can't believe he left her husband handcuffed in a burning building.

Act III

Georgie puts on the sterile hospital gown and heads into see Mac. In an emotional scene she tells him who she is... and that she loves him.

At the site, Courtney screams some more at Capelli and then tells Ric that he handcuffed Jason to a pipe. The firemen won't go back into the building.

Nikolas swings an axe to crack the pipe that Jason is handcuffed to. Unfortunately it's a gas pipe; the two make a run for it as the room explodes.

Sonny, Carly & Lorenzo head into the elevator. Sonny learned how to hotwire a car when he was twelve; he says it can't be all that different.

Emily doesn't learn much from Monica about Nikolas's whereabouts so once Monica's gone, she takes off her breathing tube/mask and stands to leave.

Luke and Skye wind up back at the cottage. They are about to kiss when Jax emerges wearing a towel.

Justus tells Edward not to give up. Tracy goes in and says the same thing. Edward wakes up and calls her Justus.

Act IV

Courtney keeps screaming to let her back in the building. It takes four (4) grown men to hold her back. Suddenly Carly, Lorenzo & Sonny stumble out of the building. There are hugs all around... until Sonny learns that Capelli left Jason inside. He, of course, blames Ric. Once alone with Carly, she asks him if he said something to her when the floor gave way and he was cradling her in his arms. He's about to tell her when Sam shows up and hugs Sonny. He looks as though he wishes he were anyplace else.

Skye wants to know why Jax is showering at her house; she doesn't go to his house and shower. He points out that he no longer has a house; Luke says that's a good point. She insists she only wants to be alone.

At the hospital Justus withdraws Edward's will from his pocket and Edward prepares to sign it. Tracy realizes what he's doing and thinks he's leaving all his money to Justus.

Monica says that if Edward is taken in for surgery she'll observe.

Georgie tells Mac she wishes they could go camping again, like they used to, as a family. Before her tears, unabashably real as they actually are, get the better of her she leaves. Once outside, she hugs Dillon.

Act V

Carly talks to a suddenly soft-spoken Lorenzo. He asks if she wants to go to the hospital but she says she would prefer waiting for Jason there.

Sam asks Sonny who he's waiting for. He tells her it's Jason and then asks how she got out. She hedges.

Emily shows up at the scene and Carly comforts her. There's still no sign of Jason or Nikolas.

The Qs say goodbye to Edward as he's wheeled into surgery. Once alone, Tracy says to Justus that she wants to see that paper Edward signed.

Skye wants both men to leave. She gets a call from Ned and, without showering, heads back to the hospital.

Act VI

A faceless figure goes searching through the trashbins for the treasure.

At the hospital Dillon shows up the same time as Skye. Interesting since he was already in the hospital and Skye was across town. When all the Qs are in the same place Tracy grabs the newly-typed-up (no idea how THAT happened) statement that Justus had Edward sign. In it, Edward takes full blame for the fire.

Bobbie tells Luke that Scott Baldwin died in the fire.

Back at the scene Scott, in a fireman outfit, searches through the dumpster for the treasure.

Jason walks out of the building; Emily cries uncontrollably upon realizing he does not have Nikolas in tow.

Port Charles Hotel, 2:05 AM
Back at the hospital Emily, looking freshly-scrubbed and spiffy in a velvet maroon Juicy Couture top reassures Monica and Alan that Jason got out; they'll see.

Back at the scene Nikolas is trapped under a beam; Jason has gone back into the building to thank him.

At Lorenzo's place he's freshly-washed too, as is Carly. He tells her there's so much that he wants to give her.

Edward wakes up, sees Tracy and remarks that he's died and gone to Hell.

Michael asks Sonny why Mommy didn't come home with him.
