Act
I
"Port Charles Hotel. 7:02 PM" reads the caper-like
film-inspired caption on the screen.
Georgie and Tom check into the hotel. She tells him how to
act like a gentleman. She's not thrilled when Dillon and Sage
show up soon after.
Zander lies unconscious as flames move all around him.
Luke wakes up and tries to use his lockpicking kit to get
out of the room.
When the elevator Sam's in stops, she climbs onto the laundry
cart she's using to transport the treasure. Exposing a generous
amount of skin, she climbs on top of the elevator car.
finds Nikolas and asks him what happened. Ric shows up and
tells the assembled crowd not to leave; he and Officer Spencer
are going to be questioning them.
Carly tells Sonny he's got to find a way to work this out
or he's the one who'll never see his kids again. He tells
her, "you know me. You won't win". Because to Sonny,
apparently, this is about winning & losing and has nothing
to do with the children themselves.
Jason follows Brian and tries to shoot him but that doesn't
really work out.
Act II
Sonny tells Carly there's no way a drug lord is going to get
near his kids. She looks and him and deadpans "You kill
people!". It's the most logical thing Carly's said, like,
ever. He tells her that her having the kids is temporary.
Lorenzo, who seems to be drinking rather heavily, tells Ric
he was away when the auction was occurring and that he wanted
the treasure so he could have the luxury of selling it piece
by piece later on. He's free to go.
Cameron finds
talking to Nikolas and Emily and asks her to help his son.
Georgie et al have a hard time checking into the hotel. Two
floors are undergoing renovations. Sage kisses Dillon pointedly.
He doesn't seem to respond yet Georgie fumes.
The fire rages around Zander's still-unconscious body.
Act III
Mac shows up at the hotel and is told the best way to get
to Zander. He and a cop go down there. The cop touches the
metal doorknob and, not noticing it's probably hot to the
touch, opens it. The room explodes and Mac goes flying.
reassures Cameron that Ric's going to recuse himself from
the case and that will make it easier to get a fair trial
for Zander. Cameron worries that Zander's volatility will
work to a disadvantage.
Nik tells Ric that he fought with Zander. Emily asks Nik why
he didn't tell her earlier. He says it's because he didn't
want her to look at him like she's looking at him now.
Skye finds Luke coughing his head off. She shuts the door
and looks at him writhing in pain on the floor.
Sonny tells Carly he won't turn his children over to her and
Alcazar. She says this has nothing to do with Lorenzo. Lorenzo
shows up and tells Carly he was afraid she had shown up there.
Georgie & Tom wind up in an adjoining room with Sage &
Dillon. They're assured that the other couple can't get through
as long as both keep their doors locked.
Sam, looking for all the world like Punky Brewster gone glam
party girl, wires together some of the wires in the elevator
in the hopes of getting it moving again.
Act IV
Maxie shows up at the hotel and is surprised to see it in
flames. Mac is wheeled out and she tells them to tell him
she's OK if he wakes up. She then finds a fireman who she
tells they need to go find Zander. He says it's likely too
late but they go to check anyway.
Flames burn all around Zander.
Courtney hears about the fire on the news, apparently before
the guests in the hotel hear about it (or hear the fire alarm).
Jason's going to shoot Brian but they stumble onto children
named Molly & Mickey whom they decide to rescue instead.
Sam finds that there's fire on the floor the elevator doors
open on, so she gets back in. Can't risk hurting the treasure
& all.
Ric asks
how long the black-out lasted. He then thanks her, and reaches
his hand towards her momentarily and leaves. It's kind of
weird and cool.
Dillon listens as Tom says "just like that baby, just
like that," as he's watching a game and Georige's writing
his paper. Sage wants them to take a bath together but Dillon
apparently doesn't enjoy conserving water and says no.
Sonny tells Carly there's no way he's surrendering his children
to her. She and Lorenzo leave. Sonny watches them embrace.
Act V
Tom continues to make noises about the game which Dillon misinterprets
about being about Georgie. Sage comes out of the bathroom
clad in just a white towel. Dillon feels amorous and they
begin kissing.
Luke's told Skye to take a hike but she won't leave without
him. They stumble away together.
Sam steps out of the elevator and takes her treasure with
her.
Lorenzo finds Sonny in the stairwell and tells him that it
would be easier if Carly's a widow. They begin to fight.
Jason and Brian can't get the kids out by going down so they
realize they have to get up to the roof so they can be evacuated
by helicoptor.
Edward announces that one elevator is working so five people
go down, leaving Emily, Nik, Monica & others upstairs.
Ric gets to the bottom and the fireman tells him they won't
send it back up because of the flammable propane tanks on
floor ten.
is in the elevator when Carly steps in. Neither is pleased
the see the other. Suddenly the lights flicker and the elevator
stops. "What the hell was that?,"
asks.
Courtney heads down to the hotel because she figures when
they say only emergancy personnel should be there, that must
mean it's time for another one of her heroic rescues.
Act VI
Jax finds Sam passed out on the floor. He picks her up and
takes her back to his room.
Dillon and Sage are in bed. Georgie listens to their noises
and Tom says they had the right idea. She heads into the hallway
and finds out it's on fire. She pounds on Dillon's door and
tells him the hotel's on fire.
Courtney shows up and Alan tells her that Jason, Brian, Sonny
and Carly are still inside.
Jason and Brian are about to open the door but Jason sees
some smoke coming up and tells Brian not to.
Lorenzo and Sonny topple down some stairs when suddenly an
explosion rips through. Sonny's got his hand on Lorenzo's
shoulder and they watch as the explosion goes off.
Helena wants to leave. Lucky gets a message from Ric and announces
to the room that they're locking down the elevator and that
they will be rescued via helicoptor.
tries to use the emergency phone but it's broken. Carly then
tries to do the same thing -- only she pounds on it as though
being rough with a piece of machinery will increase its chances
of working. The alarm goes off and they realize they're trapped
together in an elevator while the building burns down around
them.
Skye calls for someone to help them after Luke passes out.
Faith shows up and asks why she should help them.
Preview
"Port Charles Hotel. 8:04 PM" flashes across the
screen.
Carly tells
she smelled smoke and this is not a drill.
On the roof, Justus, Edward, Tracy, Emily, Monica et al wave
towards the helicoptor.
Dillon, Georgie, Tom & Sage discuss the fact the hotel's
on fire
Jason tells Brian if he opens the door they'll all die
On the ground, Elizabeth asks Ric how many trips it will take
to get everyone out. Ric answers that not everyone is coming
out
After their brawl and the ensuing explosion Lorenzo seems
to be coming around; Sonny lies motionless
Courtney, an elderly lady (in a bathrobe?), and her dog are
in a stairwell as fire rages below
finds Nikolas and asks him what happened. Ric shows up and
tells the assembled crowd not to leave; he and Officer Spencer
are going to be questioning them.
