Act
I
Sam's reading the pregnancy pamphlet and it tells her that
both parents should be honest with one another about their
expections. Jason shows up. She hides the pamphlet. He asks
why she asked to meet with Sonny, then didn't show up. She
agrees to go with him now.
Sonny brings Carly a donut; himself a cup of tea. They discuss
their would-be new living arrangement.
Lorenzo, hair slicked back, meets Courtney in the park.
Both are dressed for a funeral. She tells him that if Carly
seems interested again it's only to make Sonny jealous.
Lorenzo is saddened by this revelation.
Nikolas goes to kiss Mary good morning but she pulls away.
She makes him breakfast and tries to make small talk. He
wants to know why she's avoiding talking about last night.
Emily and Dillon talk. Emily agrees to cover for the rest
of Georgie's shift so she can leave with Dillon. Dillon
tells Emily how brave and strong she is.
Act II
Jason passes Sonny on his way to the elevator. Sonny shows
up at the penthouse and Sam tells him they should just get
this over with. He asks why she's crying.
Nikolas asks Mary if she thinks last night was wrong. She
tells him that part of her hoped that making love would
spur his memories. She says she could never be disappointed
in him or what they are together. She tells him that the
only way to keep him with her is to make everyone else believe
he's gone -- she'll tick the "widow" box on the
job application.
Courtney is happy when Lorenzo tells her how Carly rejected
him last night. Lorenzo asks Courtney to set aside her personal
dislike for him and ask which of Carly's suitors has treated
her better. He lays out all of Sonny's flaws and Courtney
-- for once -- simply listens to him. She's not so smug
anymore.
Act III
Georgie and Dillon show up at the studio that Ned rented
only to find it's a gigantic dump -- kind of like the place
where old equipment goes to die.
Sonny tells Sam to stop putting words in his mouth. She
tells him that it's clear he wants to get back with Carly.
He tells her that Carly may be moving back in but he has
no intention of getting back together with her romantically.
He wants Sam for that. In other words, he wants to have
his cake and eat it too. Well, metaphorically, at least...
Lorenzo shows up to see Carly at the hospital. She apologizes
for last night. He says that the little incident that transpired
between them the previous evening speaks volumes as to the
ambivalence she feels about the reunion between her and
Sonny.
Jason shows up to see Emily. Mary steps off the elevator
and is very friendly with Emily. Emily brushes her off and
is downright rude. Mary meets Jason, and then heads to Audrey's
office, hurt. Jason asks Emily who she was and why she is
angry with her.
Act IV
Nikolas is painting when the priest shows up. He says he's
going out of town for awhile. Nik says they need more supplies.
The priest grants him permission to take the truck into
town to the hardware store and get some stuff.
Sam tells Sonny she doesn't know how this'll work. He tells
her that he'll have his family in one place, thereby pleasing
Michael. And she'll be really close by, ready to ask how
high every time he says jump, thereby pleasing him.
Carly tells Lorenzo that she's not moving back in with Sonny
for love. Lorenzo tells her that this is one more way for
him to control and abuse her. She disagrees.
Georgie asks Dillon if perhaps he's getting a little ahead
of himself. He tells her that Ned's found a singer in Florida
that he's bringing to town and that he's going to shoot
the video. Dillon's so stoked about this Georgie can't help
but smile too.
Emily explains why she's angry with Mary. She asks Jason
if she overreacted. Jason says only she can decide. Emily
decides to apologize.
In the park, Nikolas walks by with the paint. Emily catches
up with Mary soon after. Nikolas eavesdrops. Mary wants
to know what Emily wants. Emily wants to apologize.
Act V
In the park, Emily tells Mary that she had no right to judge
her. Mary says that she'd give anything to have Connor back,
loving her, the way he was before. But those days are gone
and she just has to go on. Emily doesn't know how -- Mary
says it's almost impossible.
Jason finds Sam at the penthouse. She tells him that she's
going to be alone except for the times she's with Sonny.
She tells Jason she's embraced Sonny's misogynistic ways
and has agreed to become, as tradition dictates, Sonny's
mistress.
Carly's telling Michael knock-knock jokes but she screws
up the punchline. Sonny shows up and tells Michael that
they have to talk to him about their future living arrangements.
Dillon is surprised when Georgie tries to tell him that
having a 40s homage for his video isn't possibly the most
wonderful idea. She tries to tell him to do something modern
but it only succeeds in him telling her that she's his muse.
She's embarrassed but gives him the sultry look he desires.
They kiss.
Act VI
There's a fantasy sequence of Georgie as a sultry singer
in a jazz club; Dillon's her suitor in a white tux. Suddenly
reality sets in -- an annoyingblonde shows up and announces
the place is a dump. She's Ashley B and she's not singing
a note until there's better equipment.
Carly tells Sonny that she's not sleeping with him; he feels
the same way. She then realizes he plans on keeping Sam
around as his mistress.
Sam tells Jason that he shouldn't judge her. She gets dizzy.
Jason catches her and asks what's wrong.
Nikolas shows up at the church and bumps into Lorenzo who
says "it's you".
Mary tells Emily that until last night she was never with
anyone but Connor. Emily asks if it was awful. Mary says
no, just different. Mary wonders if perhaps this new man
came into her life for a reason -- for both of them. Emily
looks confused.
